Quality classic American fare. Went here for a business meeting and the service was great. Contrary to other reviews, we were greeted promptly and the service was attentive and time appropriate throughout.
Pros:
- Food was not overly complex but done well. Presentation was above average.
- Nice views from the new deck area. Looked like it would be a fun lounge environment on weekend evenings.
- Pricing was in line with overall experience.
Cons:
- None really, we had a good experience.
- The wait staff did not ask the two of us who ordered alcoholic drinks if we wanted a refill but that may have been because they sensed it was a business meeting and that we wouldn't want one.
This place was great! It kind of felt like we were on vacation. We sat at a table near the doors, which were open wide to let the air in.
I went with my mom and my sister for the lunch special, which was $9.95 for soup and a sandwich, which was a very good deal. I had the crab cake sandwich, which was $2 more because it's fish (same applied for the steak).
It came with fries and a soft drink also. I had iced tea. I ate the New England Clam Chowder which was also delicious. My mom and sister both got the French Onion soup which they loved, and the California blackened chicken sandwich.
The only bad thing was that the service was slow! Our waiter was very nice, but very slow bringing the food, which of course can be the kitchen's fault as well.
I will definitely be back.
