Cover was $5 on a Saturday, and so we asked if it would be free for girls and guys pay.  He said ok.  We girls ended up going in first and make the guys wait outside to see if we'd like this place.  We were okay with it and went to get the guys but they disappeared.  Finally, we found them but decided to go elsewhere.  We did come back after leaving another place.  I'm not sure if the guys ended up paying to get into this place though.  Anyway, it was a bit musty inside.  Someone should have turned up the A/C in here.  We got a drink, chit-chatted for I'm not sure how long and then left.  Until next time...

While I was down Santa Monica beach, decided to hit a bar and pick this one. Took a time to get a drink because somehow we were invisible! Went outside for a smoke and lost our seats! Even though our drinks were still there! The crowd is horrible! People were super rude! I will never ever come here again!

super ghetto... we got in for a drink and it was absolutely packed with sweaty people. we were charged different prices for the same beer. when we left we saw this big black woman at the door, trying to start a fight with a nice lady who just leaned on her car... and the door gay did nothing to help...
    not nice at all...

Maybe its that I visited this place on a good night or that I had already had a few drinks at Finn Mc'Cools before coming here but I had an excellent time at Barcopa. The DJ played a great mix of current hip hop, edm and old school hits and the bar tenders were quick and friendly. The bar is pretty small but you barely noticed as everyone was dancing and have a good time.

This was my first time bar-ing in Santa Monica, we came to celebrate a couple of birthdays. My understanding was that after 10 there's a $5 cover but we came before so we got in for free.

It was a weird vibe--we were surrounded by a bunch of much older people and it turned out that there was some sort of organized company function that had just ended. The music was loud and mostly 80's pop and rock and nobody was dancing. There were a bunch of older creepy looking guys who were standing around by themselves just staring me down and I was hit as I came back from the bathroom. I'm not even a promiscuous person at all and I wasn't wearing revealing or attention-grabbing clothes but I felt so uncomfortable. I'm definitely glad I was there with my boyfriend, as I would not feel comfortable at all if I was there with some of my girlfriends. As the night progressed most of the creepy guys left pretty much, some more young people came in, and the rest of our huge group came, so were were just doing our own thing. The DJ played more 90's hip hop and some music from early 2000s like early Rihanna kinda stuff.

The drinks were really delicious! I had the hibiscus spritzer and coke with some whiskey, each for $6-7 (happy hour).

In the end overall, it was fun, but I don't think I would come back of my own choice, I would probably pick somewhere else.

    Sat night 3/9/2013

Um....Barcopa is ok, which is neither an endorsement nor a put-down...this place just left me feeling neutral. It's very small and very dark, both of which are fine for a bar. The "small" part gets dicey because this bar offers a DJ and dancing, BUT the dance floor is smaller than my kitchen floor. It also happens to be in the dead center of the only traffic path to the restrooms...awkward!

Also noted: Very friendly male bartender. Nice comfy seating around the 'dance floor.' Good vintage R/B (Shalimar, Michael Jackson, Gap Band - stuff you've forgotten that creates a nice groove) which quickly descended into floor-clearing dreck (no idea why).

    I won't suggest a return here, but I wouldn't rule it out either. M.e.h.

I am not a Santa Monica person. I do not like the bar scene in SaMo, but for a co-worker's going away party, we had our "after the bosses leave" group come here.

I was kind of appalled that they charge a cover after 11pm (and the yelp check in "free admission" does not work after 11pm, FYI). Until last night, I had never paid cover for a bar on a normal night (i.e. not New Years' Eve) before. Sooo...that was a bad start to the evening. The woman taking yr ca$h at the door promised me that the $5 would be "worth it"...she was incorrect. While I understand needing to pay a dj, cover to a dive lounge is ridiculous, which is why I tend to avoid these kinds of establishments.

Anyway, my co-workers were inside dancing away, and aside from the crowded feeling, it was just okay. I wasn't revolted but it didn't make me think "oh man, I am coming back here ASAP!" The bathrooms were kinda grimy, wet floors and just looked like they hadn't been cleaned recently. This space is honestly way too small for dancing (it's roughly the size of the gold room in ep), because I got clocked in the head multiple times by flailing elbows!

The best part about barcopa is the music. I'm a child of the late 80s, so all the 90s hiphop was awesome. I don't normally dance at bars, but this was fun and I let loose for once.

I had one beer, and due to the noise, I had no idea how much I ended up paying for it. The bartenders seem nice and friendly, but didn't interact with them much.

So, while I had fun, I don't like having to pay for entering a bar. Womp womp for me. This was a nice place to have a one-off evening, but seeing as 1.) I live in Echo Park and 2.) I never go to Santa Monica on the weekends, I will probably not be back anytime soon.

Don't wast your time of night save the cover charge and head out a block to circle or main on main, you will have more fun in these places then you would at barcop,  reason (1) shady place, I have scene more people lose their belonging there. Reason (2) they are selective on who they let in, keep in mind this is just a bar not a club, and what I mean by selective is if you don't talk and look a certain way there is probably a good chance they will come up with some interesting excuses why they wont let you in and certain times even after hours they will charge you depending who is watching, and all this just to get in to a bar so if this is the kind of fun your looking for definitely its for you but if this is not the kind of fun your looking for then just go a block you will have some good times at circle or main on main and cool music.

On vacation in Santa Monica I went out with some friends to Barcopa because a friend of ours was the DJ there.  The bar was cute, small but a good vibe.  Bartender was awesome, I was concerned about flavor and calories because I am trying not to drink all my calories away and she suggested vanilla vodka with diet coke!  Tasted great!  The bartender was on top of her game, always ready to fill the drinks up.  DJ was awesome, I know he is my friend, but the music was pumpin and the crowd felt it.  Everyone was on the dance floor having a great time!  It didnt get packed till about 1am, so if you want the bar to yourself you can go at 10 and wait for the crowd to start rolling in!  Happy hour is until 10, so get in there fast!

Fight! Somehow the relatively large quotient of  hipster women in their early twenties resulted in an altercation with glass breaking and people getting pushed! Aside from that, the Barcopa scene wasn't too bad.  Very relaxed and unpretentious environment in the small dance floor area - For some reason a lot of couples the other night looking for one-on-one time, but for those of us that just wanted to dance, there was plenty of space, and a few other friendly dancers to vibe with.  Music on friday was an interesting mix with an unusually high dose of Michael Jackson (Jackson Five included), and Snoop Dogg.  Our  favorite was the Reggae Tone.  As far as drinks, my friends had shots of chocolate cake, which they claim was very minimal on vodka.  Cover around 10:00pm was free, and the folks outside were very friendly.

Cool spot on Santa Monica's Main Street. It's a decent-sized bar that is essentially a place to boogie. It's $5 to get in and I'm sure it goes towards the dj, partially. The dj is niiiiiiice though! A great amount of 90s hip hop and r&b makes the place pretty much worth it.

I recommend that place, definitely if you want to boogie.

I really hate that I have to give this place less stars than what I intended. However, I really wanted to celebrate my birthday here and e-mailed, called, left various messages with the Events Manager, Farrah, with no reply!! It was really sad to call Barcopa and after explaining that I did not receive a follow up call, I was told that only she could help me. Well..I never received a call or email. This was so disappointing. What use is it to have her listed as the contact person, if she does not actually respond? My friend was able to get in contact with Farah last year for The Room via email for her birthday and set everything up. However, when my friend replied to the email this year in hopes that she would respond, she did respond..but when she realized my friend was not interested in The Room, but Barcopa..no reply! I was completely ignored. Just unprofessional behavior all around.

Besides this mishap, I had a lot of fun the two times I went to Barcopa. I went on a Friday and Saturday, and didn't have to pay a cover. Loved the DJ and this place is very laid back. You can listen to the music and dance or just have a drink with friends. You can wear heels or flats, and it won't matter! Just come with people that like to have fun and the place is what you make it.

After I alerted the Better Business Bureau of my complaint, the general manager of Barcopa called me personally to apologize.  This is what I call customer service!  He reassured me that this type of business is not tolerated and not the standard at Barcopa.  I'm so glad we found a resolution because Barcopa is really one of my favorite places.  Very happy to have worked this out and most likely will return very soon.

Really cool bar though I don't dig the cover charge. Prices are decent for drinks, but the design and overall vibe of Barcopa is really cool. I really enjoy the music here as well.

Definitely one of my favorite bars in Santa Monica.

It felt like 2001 up in the club last night!  My friends and I went to Barcopa this past Friday night and had a great time. We reserved an area towards the back near the DJ booth and didn't stop dancing the entire night. The staff & bouncers were friendly, the DJ was great. He played lots of  music from the late 90's and early 2000's (my hay day!) and tons of Rhianna.

It's really dark inside, so I can't tell you about the decor. The crowd was friendly...everyone just wanted to dance and have a good time. It was not a pretentious group of people, which is nice and refreshing...it was definitely more of a mature crowd.  It is a very small venue, which makes it nice and cozy but also extremely HOT! I haven't sweated in a bar in years. We arrived early so happy hour was still going on and there was no cover charge. I can't wait to come back.

Here's a helpful hint: awkwardly stand by the door around 1AM and plead for no cover since it's almost last call.  It definitely worked for me and my group!

Barcopa is like a pop-up dance bar. You pick up a drink, meander to the dance floor, to the restroom, and dance your way out of the dark space.  It's really small so you will intimately slide past strangers, if you're into that.  I think Barcopa is a nice change from the other spots on Main St. and provides a change for the dancers of the group (not me).

It's a simple place to end the night. Let's dance--after 5+ drinks of course!

I know what Barcopa is - it's a dark, Venice bar where you can dance your ass off and get wasted. I don't expect it to always smell great or have the best crowd, but I always have a good time. No expectations! I love that it's such a casual vibe - it's not pretentious or annoying, and generally, I've always had a good time dancing to their kickass DJ on Saturday nights.

Bartenders are always smiling, dancing, and just straight up fast with their service. But, I repeat, you need to be wasted to have a great time here. If you want a classier night, try The Other Room, or a "hipper" night, go to Basement. If you want to be accosted by UCLA students, go to Main on Main. But Barcopa is where it's at when you want to do the following:

    DANCE AND GET DRUNK.

I think I've made that point pretty clear. Here's to many of our Saturday nights, Barcopa.

Hung out with some friends at Barcopa lastnight and upon entering my initial thoughts were "wow, it's really dark in here" letting my eyes adjust to the dark room took some time but once it did, I walked around and noticed the bar was really small. There are a few lounges + tables in the back of the room, a small vip area in the front to the right which our group eventually took over.

The drinks were cheap during HH (7-11pm). I bought 6 drinks and was only charged $45. The bartenders/bouncers were super friendly which is a rare thing in LA which made the vibe pretty cool. Oh did I mention the DJ's pretty solid and plays every kind of music known to man - new, old school, hip hop, R&B...Cool spot to grab drinks with your friends if you're not wanting to stand in long lines in hollywood or downtown.

Went last night! Too much fun!!! After dealing with your typical "hollywood" club the night before this was a welcomed change!

    No line
$5 Cover (no looking at my clothes or friends to determine if were "COOL" enough to get in)
    Great Music

This will be my Saturday night spot going forward!

The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is the weak drinks so with that said, I will start the party at home!

Let me start by saying that the music here is almost always phenomenal.  I need to start taking down the names of the DJs.  The mixes before 10:30 are almost always right up my alley.  I wonder if they happen to spin anywhere else.  I would give it one star but the music is worth a star and a half by itself.

Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives about this place.  The major problem that I see is that too many people use Copa as the jumpoff spot.  That is, you'll see attractive folks in small groups taking advantage of the happy hour, only to head out to a more popular venue after an hour or so.  You can get whiplash at how fast things turn around.  One minute you're feeling the groove of the non-mainstream hip hop music, and eying a cute chick at the other end of the bar. The next minute you look around and the place seems crowded and lame.

Another problem with the place has to do with a concept I call the "True Ratio" vs the "Simple Ratio".  The difference is fairly easy to understand.  The True Ratio is the number of people of your own gender vs the number of people you might actually be interested in.  The Simple Ratio, i.e. Male-Female ratio can be deceptive way too often, and is overused.

Here, pretty much after 11:30 the Simple Ratio may look fine but the True Ratio will be a disaster for guys.  You look around and there are like 25 guys who are just staring in jealousy at 5 guys who are talking to the cutest girls in the room.  It might be the same or worse from the girls' perspective, I dunno.  It's just a weird situation where the Simple Ratio is 1:1 but it feels like slim pickins.

I realize that was a somewhat superficial review.  However, for a place this small, isn't that all you really wanted to know?

On the other hand, from a cute girl's perspective this might be heaven.  Plenty of dudes to fight over you, haha.  Good music to dance to.  Go nuts!

Dear Mr. DJ of Sat Aug 28th 2010,
I think we were siblings from a different life time because we were definitely on the same frequency last Saturday.  Your music selection was perfect, your mixes never skipped a beat and your transitions were smooth.  You heated up the dance floor the moment I stepped through the door and kept it hot all night.  Thank you for kicking off my 24 hours in LA with a bang.

PS. the music made my night, obviously.  other pros: nice bartenders... was crowded but it never took a long time to get a drink.  bathroom was easily accessible.  crowded but still had room to dance and sit.
con: it was hot (temp wise)

    *nervous laughter*

Maybe I came on the wrong night, I dunno.  My friend, who shall remain anonymous (jailhouse) called me up and asked if I wanted to roll.

You can see a wide variety of things, I saw a couple of actors in here, what I was sure was a Spin Doctors reunion (don't act like you don't know who they are), a few divas, a couple of frat boys, some tough guys, etc.

Oh, and a group of guys, dancing too close together and saying "heeeeeeeeey" a little too often.

The drinks are a bit watered down and at a stiff 11 dollars per drink, my night was cut short to put it mildly.  The music was ok, but not great.

I am not hating on this place, I just went on the wrong night, because Jailhouse swears it's a good place to be...riiiiiiiiight.

A friend bartends here, so I have to say I get some perks and don't always pay the steep prices that drinks cost here, unlike most of Main St. However, it is always a happening spot for some hot, sweaty dancing and massive shots on Friday and Saturday nights. The DJ is usually playing a decent mix of old and newish jams, seating at the bar isn't impossible to swoop if you're exhausted, and the drinks are poured nice and strong. Only downside is the cover charge on fun nights, and yeah, the British bouncer guy can be a hard ass.

I once saw someone drunkenly pay $200 for a couple guys to surpass the line - don't bother, wait 5-10 minutes max and you'll be in.

This bar helped contribute to my 5-star Halloween night... and for that alone, I am super grateful.  I won't get into details... but it does involve a deliciously hot... uh... yeah... anyway... moving on...

1, 2, 4, 6 years ago... I would've probably given this cozy neighborhood bar / lounge about 2 stars for the clientele alone... it was quite ghetto and they played gangsta rap... but I've gone a few times the last couple of months and apparently, the owners thought the same thing because they've changed their promoters/dj's recently and wallah... the clientele changed too.

Drinks are nice and strong and the bartenders are great and friendly... music can be chill to dance-y which is perfect since there's a little dance floor to help you get your groove on or cut a rug and the dj's take requests so that's always good too.  I've heard the likes of the Beatles here to Tupac to Daft Punk... and a little birdie even told me they play some salsa music (woohoo!) early on Saturday nights along with main-stream stuff.  Caution: You may get an occasional penis-press from a random stranger... but definitely not as frequent as the guys over at Circle Bar.  And who knows... he may even be hot.  Wear a condom.

Good times... and possibly the next venue for my birthday shindig in a couple of weeks... standby.

Oh Barcopa, how I love thee!  And not just because of the amazing bartenders, but they're awesome regardless.  The best is the beautiful Deidre, a tall short haired minx who can mix a mean cocktail!

However, this place has many hidden treasures by way of the insane patrons.  I walk into their bathroom and this lady OPENS THE BATHROOM DOOR AND ASKS ME IF HER PURSE IS STILL ON THE COUNTER.  It wasn't, but that was the least of her problems.  The bitch was sitting there refusing to close the door and exposing me to her pussy.  So I ask her to shut the door cause I am sick of looking at her cunt.  Too bad this enraged her in a way that I can barely express and she said she was going to fight me, but first she had to wipe.

Listen up, if you are that lady, for future notice, keep the damned bathroom door shut cause I don't care who you are, when your pussy falls out while you are on the crapper and I have to see it, FUCKING GROSS!

    "Cruz"
    "Like Tom?"

    "Santa Claus?"
    "Santa Cruz."

Dislikes: just how much do you charge for a drink barcopa?  door fee AND pricey drinks?!  stupid people who step on little peoples' toes.  :(

I got hit in the chest by a flying elbow.
Somehow paying the $5 cover was less painful.

Why do men feel the need to insult you to try to get you interested?

    "Do you smile?"
    "Do you dance?"
    "C'mon dance with me!"

No, I don't want to smile or dance with you. Go away, icky man with your dry ass hands. Stop grabbin' at me.

And if I find that b!tch elbowed me in the chest, she's going to get a beating...but with a smile.

Oh, and the music was horrible. The DJ didn't know what dance music was. And that is why I was not smiling or dancing.

Somehow my Jameson and ginger was so light looking, it was glowing in the dark. Um, isn't whiskey brown? Why is it the only beacon of light in this dark bar? Has Barcopa always been this dark?

Sigh, not a good way to end the night.

Wow, I am pretty excited that the lady collecting money at the door was dumb enough to think I had already paid so I didn't have to pay the $7 cover! I literally had just walked up to her and then turned around, took three steps to tell my friends it was a $7 cover and when I came back maybe a minute later she somehow thought that I had paid! but that was pretty much the highlight of the night...

Barcopa should really be called Bar-becue, or Bar-sauna, or Bar-SWEAT BOX.

Because man, for taking a $7 cover, they must make a pretty big profit considering they obviously don't use it to run an air conditioner!! I basically felt like I had been transported back to a fraternity party where you walk in and instantly you want to take a shower or your glasses fog up....and when you combine that heat with a dance floor, since the music was actually pretty good it just because a sweaty outing within a few minutes.

But don't come here thinking you will find the love of your life--although two people in my group made out that night ha ha. but seriously, usually one thinks that a cover sort of weeds out the bad crowd??? well not here, I guess they didn't get the memo because there were some shady people here....That is probably why they keep it so dark in here, so all of the guests can't really see each other unless you are close up...

So you save money by not using electricity with lights, not having or using an air conditioner and having a very small venue---so why do you have a cover anyway?? don't tell me it is to pay that OLD dj you have. he is not nice and refused to play any britney spears because he "hates her" yes, he said he hated her so he wouldn't play any of her songs. and LA bar full of young people that won't play britney??

you need to "gimme more" barcopa if you want me to come back!

Well...honestly I loved this place. Nice little spot off Main Street. Kinda Dive Bar-ish...
I came here last night to hear my friends friend Spin.  The Place is really small and very dark. They have couches along the side of the bar and a lounge area toward the front and the back. The Dj's were awesome last night. People were dancing and having a good time. It was pretty empty when we got there around 11pm....then within an hour the place was packed!
the drinks were good and not too pricey. But honestly what made my night was the music. They had sick DJ's spinning.
Good times.....I will be back here next Tuesday!!!!

Let's start with the really really great thing about this place: the music.

If you like hip hop and all that comes with it (soul, reggae, old school...) then this is hands-down your best bet in the area.

That said, it's bullshit that they can get away with charging anymore than $4 to get into this place.  It's tiny and so dim that you can barely make out people's faces.  I think it's free to get in if you go before 10'ish, then it's $5 and later it's $7 on Fri-Sat.  Go any other day of the week and it's free, but you'll be pretty much alone in there, which might actually be a good thing sometimes.

I've only had a good time when i was too drunk to care about how lame this place can be and just danced to the music.

Back in the day this used to be a good spot for Jungle and Drum n' bass. Then the spot got blown, it changed owners a couple of times and alas it is what it is today.

No bar on Main st. should have a cover nor a line out the door EVER. Especially for this place. The DJs sure do suck a$$ here. If you're reading this, please learn how to mix, owning turntables and some records does not a DJ make.

Dancey on Thursday night?! on Main street no less. im there! Expect an eclectic crowd (locals, party people, tourists on holiday) that makes for an entertaining yet unpretentious evening.  didn't get in any drinky (trying to get over a cold, kids. i miss my boozin'.) but my friend was pleased with her several rounds of cocktails (and she herself is a bartender, so no complaints from her means the staff knows their stuff.)

The interior is dark, with sofas for lounging and dance floor watching near the back. its pretty cozy and if you haven't been there before the entrance is a bit hard to find: look for the cage-like bars and the bouncer standing outside. Once you step inside I get this South Beach/ Miami kinda vibe and i can't exactly put my finger on it why. Perhaps its the candles, the tiled floors, or the velvet curtain i have to pass through to enter. The DJ wasn't exactly the best but he had great taste and kept the dancey live for the majority of the evening so I'll disregard the unfortunate lack of mixing skills. the "dance floor" spills out onto any available open space so be prepared to encounter imbibed dancers if you choose to move about.

the jovial mood abounds while you're in the bar but at last call we stepped outside to witness a scuffle involving three doods and some chick ended up getting hit. meanwhile the bouncer just kind of stood there. W.T.F. at least say you're calling the police, don't just stand there while junk goes down in front of your bar. im sure this doesn't happen every night (its Main!!!) but it left me thinking the bouncers may be complete morons.** Parking can be had on Main or down any of the side streets . pay attention to parking restrictions, Santa Monica meter maids are ticket happy.

**im sure they are lovely people, but i wouldn't want them to be my personal bodyguards is what im saying. i'd probably end up jacked.

This is a refreshing change of pace from the watered-down nightlife on Main St.

There's an eclectic mix of people who are down for the cause and party it up with a pleasantly low level of obnoxiousness - they EXPECT the music to be at least a little bit different, and I don't think it disappoints. The DJ spins the old skool chet like A Tribe Called Quest and Lauryn Hill and soul/funk from the 70's while mixing it up with the newer stuff from Black Eyed Peas and Akon, and this sounds like heaven when you're on three stiff mojitos and working on your fourth (and don't worry, I got personal chauffers...err... really nice buddies who keep it clean and look out for me.)

Properly underlit, as all bars should be, and small leather seats surround a tiny dance floor in front of the DJ booth where folks become quite friendly with one another - but in a manner that comes off as totally wholesome and unsleazy.

There's a cover charge of $5, which kind of sucks but it's a reasonable sacrifice in order to escape the rest of the insufferable and overcrowded Main St. dives. No second looks from the friendly bouncers unless you're wearing flip-flops and bermuda shorts, at which point they will politely tell you to take your ass back home.

Maybe it's me... Maybe I'm not "cool" enough, maybe I don't appreciate diversity, or maybe I just don't get it.  But I did not have a good time at Barcopa.

The place gets three stars for its decor, DJ, and top shelf booze.  When we walked in, it was a far cry from the dive bars that my friends and I usually go to.  It has a very loungey feel, and we got there early enough to grab seats.

The first impression was bad because after we coughed up our $7 (NOT a good deal on Main Street, where practically every other bar is free), we walked in and the place was EMPTY...  At any other place we probably would've turned around and left, but we had just spent a combined $28 so we waited for a return on our investment.

As the bar filled up, the crowd got...interesting.  My friend got hit on by a very smooth (i.e. bald) older guy.  Here were his winning quotes from the night:

"I do massage as a hobby, but right now I only service VIP clients".  And when asked if he could see (he was wearing sunglasses in the darkest bar I've ever been to), he said "these glasses were designed for the dark.  They're very expensive".

Overall, this place and its patrons just seemed to take themselves way too seriously.  If you want to have a serious time with some serious people, check out Barcopa.  Otherwise, I'll see you at Rick's.

For St. Patrick's Day this year, we decided to hit The Library Alehouse for a big group dinner before going out and getting properly soused.  Of course the wait for a table for ten was heinous, so we put our name in and trotted down to Barcopa for a drink.  I was the only person in our group to have been there previously, and that was only once for a mojito-fueled, underaged dance party disaster.  That was fun.  For St. Patty's though, however, the joint wasn't nearly as packed, but I still enjoyed it.  The bartenders were great, which is something I dimly remember from my previous visit.  The atmosphere is very laid back, the place is sort of reminiscent of a more upper class Liquid Kitty: dark, loungy, lots of seating, small dancefloor.

I know they charge a cover after ten on weekends.  Which means I will be there at 9:55, because I pretty much dig this place.

I went here on St. Paddy's day and the place was not hoppin' nor the music that bumping. They did have some good Irish Car Bomb Specials (5 bucks woo!) But other than that, we weren't there long enough to make a full on
review worthy time. And yet, I am compelled to review it. All in all, it's a hole in the wall esque place lacking the charm that those types of places need to draw a healthy and cool enough crowd. I doubt I will find myself there again any time soon. I am not a big bar person, so it takes a lot and some kind of theme or really hot group of men to bring me back basically...

We were falling more and more in love with this place every minute we were there... the dark, kinda romantic-y lighting, comfy couches, chill atmosphere, friendly bartenders, strong drinks... loved it all, until a huge group of loud, obnoxious bimbos complete in barely-there attire surrounded us and asked us to move across the way to vacant couches. How rude!! totally ruined the experience. But didn't scar me from coming back!

ps, apparently it's only nice and romantic-y before 1030, because after 11 is when it's so crowded it'll cost you an arm, a leg, and most likely your drink to get to the bathroom on the other side.
