Pros: Great Chinese food for a low price
Cons: Limited seating and some communication issues
When you walk in the front door you might wait for a minute before some one shows up at the front counter to take your order. When I placed my order I was asked a question about vegetables that I couldn't quite understand. After being asked a second time I just smiled and said yes. Granted I believe the less fluent the restaurant owners are in English the better the food is, so I saw this as a positive thing. I paid 6.50 for Pork lo mien with fried rice and an egg roll and was very happy with my food. In fact I might have to swing by there tomorrow as I leave town.
Beijing is tucked behind a bank, and I honestly didn't notice this place for months while living here. Â The food here is very good, and they will fix off the menu items upon request as well. Â For example, sesame beef which is not on the menu, but they will fix upon request. Â The sesame beef was crispy, fresh, and so so good. Â The won ton soup is very fresh, the broth flavorful, and the noodles light and smooth. Â I also had the chicken lo mien which was also good.
Review Source:This was the only Chinese place around when I went to Wabash (minus the buffets) and it was actually my first Chinese experience, so I grew to love this place! They were a great value and the food was always delicious. Â Quite honestly, I really still and try to find the same quality of General's chicken, but even in Chicago, I cannot. Â There was just something about this place that I really loved. Â Yes, they did not have good egg-rolls, but I was not a fan of those anyhow. Â Try it out, C'Ville!
Review Source:I love the eggrolls and the crab rangoon. I'm also fan of the tofu and any of the veggie dishes, so I'll go crazy with those! But I am disappointed every time I order the chicken dishes. I really like kung pao chicken and I can't order it there because it's so rubbery! Steer clear of all chicken dishes at Beijing!
Review Source:This place is great!  It has a huge menu and makes super fresh, tasty Chinese food.  The cook will make anything you want even  if it's not on the menu, and the portions are big so it's a good deal.  Mostly a take out place and when you call ahead, your food will always be ready in the promised "10-15 minutes."
