Cozy atmosphere, super busy at night. Nicey presented food and great flatbread pizzas. I like this place for their Bloody Mary bar, which has  every option you can think of. The only thing holding it back is the pretentious service which is most often than not. Bartenders that think they are too cool to talk to you. Well I just want to order a drink. But it is the fan...so hey.
Review Source:This place is FANTASTIC.
We decided to get a late evening dinner on Sunday. They were quiet but not dead, a few tables and bar guests here and there. The atmosphere for a Sunday evening was perfect.
Our server was pleasant and friendly, she definitely made us feel welcomed. The music was great - it was a cool mix of everything from oldies (I say this as a 35 year old, so think 50s/60s/70s) and INXS. It was fun and at the perfect, non-ear-shattering volume that plagues so many other bars in the area.
The menu offers so much of everything that I would be shocked if anyone would feel left out. We were there for dinner but will definitely return later for pizza and sandwiches.
We started with the calamari (original style - they also have buffalo style). It was very well seasoned and perfectly fried. The sauce served on the side was a little lacking but honestly wasn't bad by any means.
For entrees we ordered the Seafood Piccata and the Catfish entree (broiled, with hushpuppies and collards and broccolini. The pasta was cooked very well, the dish as a whole was incredible. The shrimp and calamari were cooked perfectly, the balance of lemon and capers was outstanding. The dish was just DELICIOUS. The catfish was just as good - and the collards were really impressive. My fella said his only criticism was the density of the hushpuppies - but that is it.
We will absolutely head back to Belly Timber. I can't wait.
