Group of five had dinner,Saturday night 6:30, first visit, no reservation. Â We were seated right away. Â Great Italian waiter took drink and food orders promptly, but bar and kitchen were not so fast. Good wine list by the glass. Salad not included with entrees. Dinner specials, veal Parmesan, and lasagna were average area Italian fare. Â Reasonably priced.
Review Source:Food & service were both good. Particularly enjoyed the house red chianti and the current desert special (don't remember the name). Sat in at booth in the bar on an off night and virtually had the place to ourselves.
Not my favorite place for Italian food, but certainly another nice option on the north side.
The food is very good, the service not so much. Â We have been twice to Biaggi's, the first time the service was very slow but forgivable since they are new. Â Most recently we dined again and had a different server, when we asked for drink suggestions the response was "I don't know, I just turned 21 so I haven't been able to try our drinks yet"... Â then I asked what drinks are popular, response "I only work once or twice a week so I'm not sure". Â Yeah... Â It proceeded to continue as we ordered a bottle of wine there were 3 of 4 of us at the table, the server presumed the empty seat would drink wine and poured it, the 4th person was pregnant. Â Like I said food is good, don't expect great service. Â For this level of casual dining it needs to improve, not expecting five star service but at least decent would be acceptable.
Review Source:Biaggi's is a new addition to Clay Terrace Court and it's welcome. It got a great looking bar that's a little set off from the main dining area. I went there for lunch and my meal - soup (cream of mushroom) and half a club sandwich was really good. The accompaniment of a small cucumber salad (not mentioned on the menu) was a noticeable and appreciated touch.
The service was fine, atmosphere adequate (lots of booth space) and value outstanding.
Impressive.
For Italian food in the Indy area, this is a good option. I am particular about my Italian food and have been disappointed with all of the other casual Italian places (chain or not) I have been to in the area. Yes, this is a chain, but it's the best option we have found for casual Italian food with kids in the area. Â Yes there are better places that are more upscale and less kid friendly. And yes, if I were back on the east coast, I would probably never even go here. But for here, it's good.
