The drinks were good but it took forever to get our food. It was super packed and finding parking was the worst I parked far. I actually had to go to the bar to get my drinks because our waiter would take forever to come back so I spent the night getting up waiting awhile at the bar to get my drink. When I finally got my drink it was a mission to get back to my table which was all the way at the other side.

Reading the reviews here I feel bad people have experienced such a bad time here. The times I've been here I have received good service and good vibes. Seating could be better i hate tall tables with high chairs. Prices are ok. The food is good. But it does get really packed on Wednesdays. The wings are alright nothing to drool over.

Whoa! such harsh reviews but I can see why it is poorly rated. The service is relatively slower than normal. As to why I'm giving it an okay review, well the pricing here is more than reasonable. They have a wide variety of food here, none that really grabbed me.

Company I was with loves the teriyaki chicken but to me it tasted like salty chicken dipped in soy sauce. I love salty things but from experience some spots load it with sodium due to lack of flavor. Also ordered the Spartan sliders, nothing spartan about it but average mini burgers. The pizza fries were okay, the marinara sauce seemed to over power everything else.

Three stars for inexpensive menu items, its rare to spend less than 20 bucks in NoHo. Would I come here again, well maybe, heard they have a good karaoke night.

My friend and I ate here because we're meaning to check it out. For starters, parking sucks! The odds are against you and you would be lucky if you find any metered parking. You can park in the metro station and hope your car doesn't get towed.

When we came in, a bouncer went to check our ids, and we stood there awkwardly because we didn't know if it was self seating or not. Eventually we asked the bouncer, and he said to just go pick a seat.

After we sat, our server, danielle, gave us our menus. After a few minutes she took our order. I ordered the ribs which were pretty good and reasonablly priced.

I'm giving this place 3 starts because I really liked the ambience. Their ladies bathroom and a drawing of a chick and it said "chicks," I thought that was really cute! However, don't expect excellent service. Danielle, our server, wasn't terrible, however, she only came to the table to twice, to take our order and give us our check. I wished she conversed with us more,me specially since it wasn't a busy night.

Might come back for happy hour and drinks but will probably never dine.

Horrible service. Fairly pricey food/drinks unless you come here for Wednesday wings. The place itself is super super loud so expect to shout if you'd like to converse. Hate the karaoke nights.

If you eat at Big Wangs, you should slap yourself. I sure did after I left and realized I had to pay $15 for parking at this sucky sports bar.

You can find better places to eat drink and watch the game.

Big Wangs food is sub par, drinks are whatever, and service is the worse.

Before i was done eating my plate was scooped up by a waitress and thrown out. It happened so quickly. I confronted the waitress and she made it seem like i was speaking gibberish. I eventually talked to the manager who compensated me. But i never received an apology. How hard is it to say "sorry, I made a mistake, next time i should ask the customer if they are done eating?"

Don't go to Big Wangs! Save your money and support another business.

Service - wow, that girl who was serving us was a little bit airheaded. She barely paid attention and didn't even count how many we were. It took us a long time to order and she couldn't even help us with the suggestions.

Food - No, they aren't that good. Potato skins, blegh. Wings? Blegh. Expensive, too. Even on "happy hour"

But let me tell you what you should come for. The atmosphere! Fun atmosphere with drunk people on karaoke night! It was right after the first playoff game, I guess some people were already tipsy by that time of the night. Whole bar singalongs with grub and beer, expect to have a great time!

I feel like two stars is a bit much for this place but wth im feeling generous today.
Only pros are that its close to home and they have a lot of semi-good mixed drinks .

The food is baaaaad , i know its a bar and I shouldnt expect much of their food but their food is way worse than regular bar food. I mean how can you mess up spinach and artichoke dip ? Or buffalo wings. They have this anomaly of a menu item called The heart attack , shoe string fries in alfredo sauce topped with bacon and parsley. I had a momentary lapse of judgement ( maybe my a little too strong bay breeze was to blame here) and thought it sounded interesting enough to try. Big mistake ! Don't try it !

Their service is bad as well Ive been here a couple times and never have I experienced even mediocre service. They are very afraid of walk-outs , On most nights they ask you for a debit card even if your not sitting at the bar!! How ghetto is that?? Do I look like im gona run out on you ??? Maybe its because you know how crappy the service is so you need reassurance that pissed off customers wont take off after trying for half an hour to flag you down to ask for the goddam check !

Wont come back here ! i've given this place plenty of chances but this time its really over!

If I could give negative stars I would! First of all if you are looking for a good atmosphere and good customer service DO NOT GO HERE! There is a blonde bitch with a nose ring that works there and she is the worse. We were all smiles when she approached but little did we know how big of an attitude she had. Firstly, she blamed us for the orders being taken wrong and condescendingly said that she will "just have to tell the kitchen to loose the plate" and then towards the end of the night when the checks were collected she didn't even bring back our change! I have never been to any establishment where the waitress doesn't bring back a receipt and change no matter how small it is and decided on her own to take a tip!! When we asked for our change she immediately went into a fit saying "so you aren't going to leave a tip!" And then tried walking away with our money still in her pocket! After throwing our money on the table she then went into a rant saying how we are no longer welcomed there. Wow again, what establishment allows their simple minded waitresses to tell a customer when and where they are allowed to dine at. Honestly this was astounding. If she wasn't such a rude prissy bitch she probably would have had a nice tip. I'm so insulted that I plan to call their corporate offices and file a complaint. Really save your time, money and gas and do not go to this location. Luckily for us we got back our change and walked out.

It's a dive. It's a sports bar. It's loud, with obnoxious fans cheering whatever inane game is blaring on the TVs overhead. If you sit outside, you're going to be shivering because they're always, ALWAYS out of propane for the heaters.

    So why the four stars?

    Two words: S'mores martini.

This place is a TERRIBLE BUSINESS!  The customer service is horrible, the place is totally overpriced, they lead you on with crappy overpriced specials, the North Hollywood location is filled with thugs, and the owners act like their restaurant is God's gift to the world.  They couldn't care less about anything except money.  STAY AWAY!

This is a cool place to go for happy hour or to watch the game with friends.  This is a large restaurant with a very relaxed feel.  Their food is tasty and their drinks are liberal.  I will definitely be back.

Note: This is not a review of their food, which, being vegan, there are only a handful of options I can eat (hummus plate, possibly the garden burger without cheese). I have never had their signature wings before. I never thought I'd review a place like Big Wangs. However...

This is a review of their happy hour.

For me and my friends, this has become a Happy Hour must if we are in NoHo. For one, they have the longest happy hour (3-7PM) including late night happy hour (10PM - closing) and their drinks are super cheap. They have a good selection of beer for $3.50 and a ton of cocktails for $5. My favorite is the coconut mojito which is amaazing, and like a restaurant called "Big Wangs" would imply, they don't skimp on size. Or alcohol content.

They also have a bunch of food discounts on their happy hour menu, but again, I can't adequately review their food.

Atmosphere is so-so. The place is very big and also very loud, with an outdoor patio that unfortunately gets a lot of direct sunlight during happy hour. They've structured the place like a sports bar, which for someone who doesn't watch sports doesn't add anything to the vibe. Service has been very good or very slow at times, depending on how busy they are, but their service staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

Food is good and the atmosphere is amazing but our waitress Alia was horrible!!! So rude and would come around and ask if we needed anything and would turn around and leave before we would answer. Acted like if we were an inconvenience!!! I usually give out a $20 tip or higher but she lost it with her ugly attitude. Just because I wasn't a guy she would be rude!!!! Her lose!!!

Love the happy hour menu here. Not only is it twice a day everyday, the food options are great and the prices are even better! Plus, they have boneless chicken wings, which I absolutely love. Only reason I'm giving it a four is because the service was a little slow towards the end when my party was ready to leave. But it's ok, because whatever sports game was on kept us entertained.

Always came here for football. Now that the season is over I have no urge nor need to come. Wings are good. Wish they were baked for health purposes.  Maybe in the future they can add a healthier options page?

This is based on their happy hour menu!

Beware! Portions are huge!!!! My friend and I ordered about 4 items thinking since it was $5 each the portions were to be small but omgaaaahhhh. A big no no. So remember..all items are too big to eat by yourself so share!

Pizza fries are a must! It's literally what it's called. Cheese, tomato sauce, and fries. So good! Dash some pepper flakes and you're good to go. I want some now :(((

Buffalo chicken quesadilla..the buffalo sauce was perfect. A perfect combo of spicy and the cheese and tortilla. However the chicken was a bit dry but still worth $5

Chicken nachos..sour cream, guac, black beans, salsa, chicken, cheese all baked on top. Not my favorite. Actually there was a weird sauce underneath the cheese that I wasn't too fond of

Buffalo boneless wings..sizes are good. The sauce was good too. You have to ask for a side of celery and carrots if you would like some. They have other flavors than just buffalo as well

Service was great! I forgot her name but our server was the sweetest thing! My friend and I actually wanted to recruit her to work for our company lol. Can't wait to go back!

My onlyyyyy complaint is the bouncer or id checker guy. He's so rude and not very friendly. And why are they checking id at the door when it's technically a restaurant? Weirddd

First of all, if you don't live in the neighborhood then go to the next bar. However, if you do live close then give this place a shot. Its the best place to watch sports in North Hollywood in my opinion. The prices are very reasonable and the service is.. what you would expect. Try the buffalo chicken quesadilla, goes well with their decent beer selection. In conclusion, amazing local bar to watch sports and catch some food but I wouldn't drive across town unless your friends are there waiting for you.

Came here with a friend to watch a couple games.  I have been to the other Hollywood BW's and I live near the DTLA one so I am familiar with the sports bar but this was my first time here.

I loved that I could take the Red Line to the North Hollywood Station and walk across the street to get here.

The bartender, I think his name is Justin (the one with the beard) was very friendly and helpful.  I moved to a table when my friend arrived.   Sodani (sp) was our server.  She was great!  She checked on us and when we had requests for other items she made sure we got them right away.

Now as for the long haired server...thank god she wasn't mine but she was a rude b*tch.  I think she is one of those wanna be actors who works in food and beverage until she makes it.  Well with that scowl on her face she has no hope.

If you don't like serving people don't make customers suffer...get a job you will some what enjoy.

The manager was really nice too!

Big Wangs is my new favorite spot to go to for a good bite and a cold beer.  I get off work late generally and not many places still serve food.  But Big Wangs comes to the rescue with their late night happy hour.  From 10-close they offer all sorts of tasty treats for only $5 and the beers and cocktails are inexpensive as well.  The wings Wangs makes are as good as wings get and the cheese bread blows me away.  The service can be slow if it's busy, but I'm not there to be in a rush personally.  I avoid the busy nights as much as I can.
The DJ usually plays some pretty good music, mixing old with new.  And even though it's completely not my thing, they do have beer pong if that's the kind of thing you're in to.  I just enjoy the people watching opportunities.  My girlfriend and I like to watch couples fighting and sleazy guys getting turned down in some pretty entertaining ways.  If you have friends, bring them here for a fun night out in NOHO.  If you don't have friends, don't come talk to me.  You probably have no friends for a reason.

My son and I like to stop here when he has auditions in N. Hollywood.  Everyone in this place looks like an out of work character actor.  That being said the hipsters are here for Happy Hour and the prices are right.  We recommend the Heart Attack Fries....Very good and guaranteed to cause acid reflux.  The wings are standard fare, I've had better...but this place is more about cheap beer and atmosphere than food.

Nice TV's throughout the joint.  Also a great place to catch a game.

I used to love this place....No St. Patty's day specials even though their website said there would be specials at all big wangs locations....service is slow... I've been coming to big wangs since they first opened their location in noho. It has def gone downhill...not sure if there was  a change in management but either way, they need to be fired and replaced!

Great service.  Good Sweet Revenge specials. Can see overhead televisions from  anywhere in the place which was great for the Superbowl!  Wings are okay.  Nice variety on the menu if you prefer more than wings.  The servers and bartenders are lots of fun.

Big wangs, how i loved you and now......ugh. Big wangs used to be amazing. Great sauces, drums only and a overall great experience......but somewhere after it blew up the quality blew up also. I went to big wangs probably 2 weeks ago and the service sucked. The waitress looked like she was doing me a favor by taking my order. The food was horrible as if they put too much salt or something. What more can i say.....want wings? go to buffalo wild wings instead. The only thing that it has going for it is it still has lots of TV's and the beer selection is good (when they have what they advertise)

This place is a rip off  even at happy hour I paid $12 for five wings, fries, and a drink. For me, that's pricey because Wing Stop has a better combo deals. I ordered lemon pepper wings and could barely taste the lemon pepper and they were incredibly greasy. The waitress was good, and the place is nice and I love the location. I won't be returning unless I'm in that area and have a strong craving for wings.

Awful awful awful!!!  I've been to the Hollywood locations plenty of times but this location is awful. The service sucks the waitress Melanie came to my table twice in the 2 hours I was there and the drinks are so watered down I had to send them back! Come on now.... actually witnessed customers come in seat themselves and leave because of lack of service. I ordered a burger cooked medium rare and got a very well done burger. Ordered a Big Wang and they were not ALL THE way cooked. The potential is there but they really need to work on A Lot!!!!!!!!

I prefer this place to buffalo wild wings, #1 more than wings on the menu and the other menu options actually taste good. (can't stand than bww only knows how to do wings and everything else is like bleh )
#2 SPORTS!!! I love how it can get crazy in there this last time I went was for a laker v. heat game and it was real sports fan talking shyt to the opposing team without "taking it outside" I think that's fun. #3 always fast service.

Came here with my buddy and his g/f on the USMC BDay.  Immediately noticed flat screens all over.  There is a security guard standing right in front which feels kind of weird -- is this a restaurant/bar or a nightclub??

The beers are terribly over-priced.  $3 for a 12 oz. can of Pabst... really?

We sat there for over and hour and indulged in liquid libations while waiting for Happy Hour time.  When Happy Hour finally came, we ordered foodses.  I ordered their [6] piece wing special, and asked for it to be covered in Chipotle BBQ sauce.

Food: the happy hour wings were terribly overcooked and had the texture of jerky; the chipotle bbq sauce tasted good though...

    Atmosphere: -meh-

Service: Waitress hardly came by after we ordered first round of drinks.  Later on in the evening though, she came by more often.

I wouldn't come back here.  Wings are crap and the beer is pricey.

I would give this place 3 1/2 Stars

$5 Happy Hour Twice a Day: 3-7pm, 10- till closing. Great happy hour.

We had a great waitress, when she was able to come around. It was so busy and they need more staff.

The food was unconsistent. I order chicken wings, the first batch was good, 2nd batch was over fried were it was almost too dry to eat.  I wasn't able to get a wait staff to take it back cause they were so busy.

Drinks were good for the ones we got off the $5 Happy Hour Menu.

Didn't care for the cliental. If you are a young college student, this place is great. Not being of college age anymore, this was like getting trap a frat boy's party house.

If you go during an even night, the music is so loud that you can not hold a conversation with your table.

Overall: I  would go again, during happy hour only, if I when with friends to chill not if I want to caught up with them.

Happy hour no longer includes discounts on meal sized orders of wings. That's really the main reason I kept going- I could get some average wings fairly cheap once in-awhile.

I get that it's sports-bar food so I'm not expecting a world class chef to be preparing my meal but there's an extreme lack of constancy with the quality of the food. Sometimes it's okay and sometimes it's truly awful.

The staff is friendly enough and attentive.

Maybe I'll go again for a game but I think I'm done going here.

The place is way too loud to have any normal conversation.

This place has gotten a hell of a lot better! Our server actually provided us with service - she was friendly, there when needed, and would check back on us often enough without being overbearing.

Happy hour specials were in full swing when we got there, plus it was burger Monday. The photos on Yelp are really outdated, it's now $3 for a burger, but it's still a great price. Appetizers were also 50% off so a big plate of Nachos was $4. and select beers were $3.50 with cocktails at $5. I originally wanted a woodchuck, but the waitress thought they might be out and asked me for a second choice. I picked a Mai Thai, and although they were out of woodchucks as she had originally thought my Mai Thai packed one hell of a punch to make up for it.

Our group of 4 shared everything and we were all fans of the Rochester wings, they were meaty, my boyfriend says the flavor reminds him of one from his hometown, and they were gone in a flash, we had to order an additional six.

They also had some Newcastle girls coming around with some promotion. It was $2.50 for a challis of Newcastle and we got to take the glasses to go. In the end the women came around and gave us 2 extra challis', so for $5 we got 2 beers and 4 new challis it was a pretty sweet deal.

We also had the Alaskan Amber beer (short for $3.50, tall for $1 more) which my boyfriend and I both found were delicious. That is def. my new go to beer there.

The one thing that made me laugh was the bouncer staring at my shirt and going "hmph! team shirt!" I am totally waiting for the day you can't wear a team shirt to a sports bar. I guess he's not a Ducks fan!

    5 Alaskan Ambers - Tall - $22.50
    Mai Thai - $5.00
    Lemonade - $2.79
Nachos with Chicken - $7.25 ($4.25 without meat)
    12 Rochester wings - $9.00
    6 more Rochester wings - $3.25
    3 burgers - $9.00
    Kellerwiess - $3.50
    2 Newcastles - $5.00

    Holly Cow...

I HAVE NEVER EVER EVER BEEN REFUSED SERVICE IN MY LIFE....

the African American person at the door named "Kenny" refused my friends and me service twice.. how embarrassing... we are clearly classy people.
He first said my friend was drunk after she was joking and said, she was drunk....ON A MONDAY at 3pm! WHAT!
he said come back in 30 minutes. how rude.
We came back 1 hour later without my friend just to see if he had a personal problem with me and not let me in... Guess what. he did.
refusing to give me his name and once again not letting me in.

without going into any more details that would put this venue at risk..... everything this person said was not right...

i agree with Lou e. when he says "dress code sucks" you need a mini skirt for this bouncer to let you in....he thinks he owns the place.

I would like to update my review only for this person...

I will say this, the 3rd manager STEVE and the other non rude "bouncer" at the door Marco are excellent people, very polite. They were amazing at handling the "situation".

Big Wangs needs to CLEARLY reassess the people they think are capable of handling their business and customers that are "allowed" to come through the door....

I LOVE CHICKEN WINGS AND I COME HERE ALL THE TIME FOR THE HAPPY HOUR FOOD AND DRINK MENU BUT WITH THIS SERVICE.....JESUS i really never want to go back to this location.

clearly sometimes you may need to come in with a blouse as your dress...

My work softball team goes here to pound a few before our games but I'm not really sure why.  I mean I know why we drink before the games, we are all degenerate losers, but I'm sure why we go to this particular POS establishment.  The service is pretty much a joke.  Your server is always some drop out from the Paul Mitchell Academy who somehow manages to screw up an order conisting of two tacos and two beers.  I mean if they were really hot it would be ok, but these chicks are butterfacers at best so there is no excuse.

The clientele is also interesting to say the least.  We were there once during an NBA finals game and I had to go out and make sure my car was locked twice to ensure it wouldn't be stolen by some of the excruciatingly loud hooligans that packed the place.  The next time we went we sat next to a group of 'chicks' that made Ellen Degeneres look like Vanessa Hudgens by comparison.  My coworker actually dared me to see if I could work my magic on these 'ladies' but I passed considering they could have all kicked my ass and I don't watch The L Word enough to have a good conversation about it.

Make sure you have anything better to do on "Taco Tuesday".  I've seen bigger tacos in a Tijuana brothel if you know what I mean.  These 'tacos' consist of a silver dollar sized corn tortilla, a half ounce of some undisclosed meat product, and some green sauce that looks like it's straight out of a game on Double Dare.

(P.S. I was going to give it 1 star but the comment next to it was 'Eek - methinks not!' and was too gay for me to endorse.)

This place sorts sucks. The only reason it does well is because its one of the VERY few sports bars in the Los Angeles area.  Their beer taste watered down, the chicken is almost always dry, and knuckle head frat boys just get annoying!! Of all their locations, Downtown is probably the best, but it still draws "that crowd" and their food is just as bad as the other locations.

I think the owner considers himself the "Chicken Wing King" or something, but its all in his head!  Don't believe his hype.  Come here for a UFC,or NBA .. thats about all this place is good for.
