Big Woody's bar Nice the grill not so hot.  ordered the oysters the worst I have ever had, they say hand breaded on the menu but thing they are frozen.  Bland, soggy with the breading falling off and greasy + small order 6 small oysters 9 bucks.  ordered the sirloin steak with fries, first the fries bland soggy not crisp. the steak was ordered medium rare  very salty and over seasoned lots of pepper it was tender but flavor was lacking.
Wife had the fish and chips said it was wonderful fish crisp flakey and good flavor. tater sauce was nothing to brag about.
now let's talk about the good nice laid back feel in the bar seems like it might be a good hang out bar - the food!
Cheap drinks made well and fast,
Big Woodys is good. Bar food is good enough. The space is nice. It gets quite crowded inside at night sometimes. It's a good local hang out with bands. With the right band, it is pretty fun. They have a nice room for private parties. Been there for work functions several times. Drink prices are average. Servers are good enough for the most part. I have once or twice had a miserable server.
Review Source:What a great place. It sits right on some sort of body of water in Chesapeake. They have some awesome lunch specials....an assortment of sandwiches, a side and even an alcoholic beverage for only $5.99. Today I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a garlic parm sauce. Whoa was this thing delicious. As much as I was in pain to do this I ordered a vegetable medley instead of fries. A vegetable medley? Well...it was off the damn hook! Sure, I noticed all the melted butter but I think it was probably better than fries.
It's a simple set up. They have a decent sized bar, an outdoor patio area overlooking water and a separate private room. My guess is that PBR is their signature beer. I saw it quite a bit on their lunch menu.
I'm definitely a fan of this bar and grill. Just try to avoid catching the bridge going up and you'll be just fine.
Super laid back crowd-which I love. Service is friendly, food is hot and on time. We order take out from here a lot since we have a little one still in high chair training! Only con is parking can be a little tight! Which is a good problem for them because they are so popular. We go here at least every other week.
Review Source:I come to big Woodys alot mostly with my GF for wings and beers, We keep it simple, we have tried a few things on the menu but mostly stick to crab balls and wings which are great, They take the wings and grill them after frying them called "big woody style" i highly recommend it. Iv had a few visits that could have been better but overall we come here because the food is good and we know what to expect. it may not be for everyone but it works for me. Some times depending on your server you can have a good or bad experience, most of the servers are young at times the place can get very rowdy.
Review Source:May co-workers and I come here some Fridays before our kickball games. They have dollar beers for happy hour and some of their shots are only $3. It is a steal! I saw some of the previous reviews say their drinks are watered down, but I have never had that experience.
Woody's has a huge spacious deck and nice open interior. The patio is a very nice place to chill out after a hard week at work. Their servers are very nice and attentive. I have only been their once when it was really late and had no problems with my drinks.
Their food is decent for bar food. They have the typical hamburgers, hot dogs, shrimp, sandwiches, and nachos. It is decently price between $7-$15.
Overall I like Woody's bar and grill! It is sensationally delicious and fun!
My wife and I went here, ordered a drink, (simple screwdriver) using absolut Vodka, and to our surprise it was watered down We could not believe this!. And the band was on a break for over an hour.." So we sat on the deck (which was nice) Finished our horrible drinks, then left. We will not be returning.

The seating area is limited, so if you are going for food, make sure you are not there are the prime times. The wings are good. Make sure you get them Big Woody's Style. Everything I have ever had has been great. We have also picked up a tray of wings and the service was amazing.
The place is a restaurant by day, but really turns into a bar or club at night. Make sure to check the schedule for bands if you are not into live music.
The crab balls and mushrooms are excellent! Shrimp is excellent. But no one can beat their wings, no one.
I had only been here once, stopped by to see some friends, had a beer on the deck and left. It seemed ok that evening but i learned last week  after the drinks is where it gets tricky apparently.A lady I work with loves this place and always talks about it so We decided to visit one day for lunch. It seemed nice at first. It's a typical sports bar but they do have a deck outside as I said which is nice. We ordered our drinks and the waitress seemed fine, but what they didn't seem to realize was the concept of Lunch HOUR. Not 2 or 3 hours. First when we tried to order food and drinks at the same time the waitress wouldn't let us. After we got our drinks and were allowed to order it took 45 minutes for the food to come out. Both of the tables beside us had this problem as well. None of our burgers or sides were even done, my steamed veggies were still hard and the other table we heard complaining also about undercooked food and missing orders. We were told it was because a cook had shown up late and a large phone order had come in. I may go back here and try again on a weekend night when I can have a beer and wait for my food but def never on a lunch hour again!
