Never thought I would make an effort to write a review...

But I felt I should as this place is run very poorly.

Drinks... average / poor. for a place on Sheridan I don't expect to pay $3.00 for a PBR

Pool prices - expensive for just OK and cramped tables. The only reason why I do like this place is the 1 Billiards table they have. (hard to find)

But what really makes me write a review...
After buying drinks, food, and playing pool for just over 3 hours I go up to the bar for some water.... Well guess what.... the lady would only serve me a bottled water and was going to charge me..  wtf.. I thought she was kidding so I laughed. But for real, she would not give me a glass and some water.

my tab is already past $55 and I can't have any water.. I don't care if my tab is $5.00 I should be able to get some water. If they want to nickle and dime for a crapy joint anyway, than enjoy but your going to lose business.

This place used to be run allot better when I came 4 or 5 years ago but something changed.

This is a cool spot. Cheap drinks, lots of pool tables, patio for beveraging.

They have regulation and non-regulation size pool tables here. They charge per game for the non-regulation size tables (50 cents a game) and per hour / per person (weird, I know) for the regulation size tables (I think it was ~$3 an hour). So, real cheap compared to Fox & Hound, etc.

This place has a divey feel, which I dig. If you want upscale, yuppie, trendy, this is not the place for you! But, if you wanna play some cheap pool and have some cheap drinks, this is as good a spot as any.

They do not have any brews on tap (boo) but they have the usual suspects in bottles (Bud, Coors, Michelob, Fat Tire, Blue Moon). I ordered a Bud on Wednesday night and was charged $3. Not bad! But, I looked at the wall later and it said all Bud/Bud Light $2.75 all day Wednesday. Not gonna argue over a quarter, but keep that in mind if you go on a Wednesday.

There is a parking lot in the alley behind Paradise Billiards, or there is some street parking around the corner. I hear the food here is pretty decent ameri-mexican. But, the buck-a-scoop Chineese place next door stays open late, so you can always get your MSG fix there as well.

I don't know how I have lived here two years and only just now checked this place out. I will definitely be back.

There is another review for this same place but as Billiards Paradise.

This is more a pool hall than a bar. If you want a bar that has pool tables then probably hit up Patrick Carroll's down on Tennyson or go downtown to the Mayor's joint. Back in the day when this spot was called the Family Fun Center and there was still a Colfax Billiards and Celebrity Sports Center, the best pool players in the state could be found at one of these three hangouts. When nationally ranked players came to town for a game that's where you'd probably see them. Well, Celebrity Sports Center and Colfax Billiards are gone and sadly Paradise is showing it's age as well. Imagine a scene from any movie (especially an old flick) in an old pool hall and you know what to expect at Paradise. A lot of places have pool tables but haven't the slightest clue about the game or even how to properly maintain the tables. Ever heard of three cushion billiards, or snooker? Do you want to learn how to play pool or do you want something to do while you get slammed? That's kind of the decision you make on the place you want to hang.
