Normally, I do not like to complain on line, I try to put mostly positive reviews.  We visited this location for the first time.  I took my two grand kids to dinner because they wanted "steak and vegetables" for dinner.  We ordered the $16,99 special of steak and shrimp.  The steaks were slightly overcooked from what we ordered, but no big deal. Overall the meal was good, and the price is very reasonable.  Love the bread and salad and bacon wrapped shrimp.
We finished our dinner and ordered dessert for the kids to share.  While we waited I took them to he bathroom.  When we returned from the bathroom we found our table had been completely cleared and a new group seated, getting ready to order.  I looked around for our waitress, and finally the manager came up and asked if he could help.  I asked him why our table was cleared why while we were in the bathroom, we hadn't gotten our dessert, we had not paid the bill, and they cleared our "to go" box!!  He sat us at another table and our waitress came over and apologized.  I asked her why they cleared our table, and wasn't anyone noticing that we had not paid the bill?  She said she "was worried" that we had not paid. I said, really?  You weren't concerned that we did not get our dessert?  Lost our tog box?  She then back pedaled and said no, she was just sorry,  then brought our dessert and check.  Then another waiter came over to ask if we wanted menus to order dinner?  I told him we already had eaten and they had also taken the kid drinks away.  So, he brought more drinks to the kids.  I understand they were kind of busy, BUT, they found my to go box and when I got home I discovered the 1/2 steak and two shrimp I had put in the box were missing.  Obviously, I just threw the whole thing away.  I realize they were busy, but I was very disappointed in the lack of communication between the wait staff and the bus boy.  Never had someone take our table away while we went to the bathroom!

I've gone to this location several times before with my family, and each time we come here, we have a so-so experience. On the last visit, my dad's steak was extremely chewy and rubbery, but we decided to go again yesterday because my dad had a coupon haha. Anyway, onto the review!

    SERVICE
The staff were polite and very accommodating, even after my mom changed her order a few times (she saw the other side orders we were eating and wanted them too :P). Our water glasses were always being filled, and we were able to get a satisfying amount of that delicious molasses bread.

One thing about the staff that threw me off a bit was that they didn't know how to process the coupon.

My dad showed it to them on his smartphone, which is okay to do according to the fine print at the bottom of the coupon. The waiter told us that they would honor the coupon but that we actually had to mail in a copy. I asked if we could EMAIL it instead, and he said "Oh! Yeah okay, you can email it. Let me get the email address from the front." When the waiter returned, he told us the email address was "BA1025" or something. We asked "....@ what?... @blackangus.com?" He told us, "No, just BA1025." We told him that the email wouldn't be able to send but we tried anyway and showed him the error message. Then the waiter brought over his supervisor who told us the same thing, "Just BA1025." My dad just decided to add "@blackangus.com" anyway, and the supervisor said that hopefully they'd receive it.

    FOOD
The coupon got us a free appetizer up to $9.99 so we opted for the steak quesadilla which was tasty and disappeared in the quickness.

Here's where it gets a little more "meh."

For a steakhouse, their steaks aren't prepared consistently.

Our entire table ordered medium-rare steaks. Instead, everyone else's steaks were medium-rare except for mine, which was almost well-done. My "full-flavored" 12 oz. rib-eye steak was bland, dry, and cooked somewhere between medium-well to well-done. My dad's prime rib was cooked medium-rare, but was still dry. My brother's New York steak and my boyfriend's mushroom & bleu filet mignon turned out nicely.

As for the sides, my mom and brother enjoyed their caesar salads. I thought my garlic mashed potatoes had a weird goopy, rubbery texture but tasted great. My fresh green beans with bacon were an interesting flavor. I did like the idea of adding a bit of bacon, but in my personal preference, I think they overdid it because the saltiness of the bacon overpowered my green beans. My boyfriend's western wild rice was pretty much just your standard wild rice.

    VERDICT
Inconsistently-cooked steak, salty green beans, goopy mashed potatoes.... but attentive staff, yummy appetizers & bread, and some of the entrees turned out nicely. I'm pretty much right in the middle with this one. 3 stars

The service was actually fast when we reserved today. However, I suggest that their steaks aren't THAT great. Filet mignon was a bit small, but the sampler appetizers did a great job fulfilling our before-entree needs. Their steakhouse bacon burger was a bit on the heavy side, but if you love meat go for it! Ended the night with the chocolate mountain cake with vanilla ice cream on top. If you love chocolate this is just for you. Overall, our server was nice but I've had better steaks and baked potatoes.

Tonight was my first time ever eating at Black Angus. I went with my family to celebrate my birthday. The staff is very friendly and the service is incredible. The food is so tasty! Our server's name is Felipe. He is OUTSTANDING!!!

This place started out great but went downhill from there. The baked potato soup was surprisingly delicious! The fries are good too. When are entrees were brought out both my husband and my steaks were seriously underdone, the garlic mashed potatoes are way overly garlicky almost fake. My augratin potatoes were dry and not very cheesy. Service is great but food not so much. I do not recommend.

I absolutely love Black Angus Steakhouse! The food and atmosphere are top of the line. The food runs about $25 a plate, but is well worth it if you are looking for a nice sit down meal. The broccoli is out of this world! Definitely give this place a try!

Terribly long wait time, even with a reservation. 45 minutes after our reservation, I really don't care how good the food tastes, my evening is being spent staring at an old picture of a stable. Management if you're reading this: GET IT TOGETHER. Got here at 7:30 pm, it is now 9:24 pm and we just got our salads. We had to ask the waitress for a doggie bag because my son is already asleep. Seriously pathetic.

Worst experience when trying to place a to go order.  First when I called was placed on hold for 6 mins and then waited another 10 minutes before they hung up on me.  Service seems to be going down here.  Better to take my bsuiness to places that have their stuff straight and provide service to the customer.

Food is pretty good, however service is terrible.  Took like 10 minutes to order drinks then like 5 minutes to get them.  After that Suzette finally took our order.  We got our food after waiting for 25 minutes.  But not after our food went to the wrong table first.  Throughout my meal she didn't really check on us.  what bothered me was that it wasn't even busy and the fact that people who got there after us were getting their food first tho they did have a different waitress.  The only thing Suzette was quick at was picking up my money!   Black Angus remember customers notice everything, train your employees.  Again no complaints on the food but service sucks!  I don't just pay for my food but the service as well!

I was there yesterday (01/10/13) with a large group in a private section. There was probably about 35 of us and there was one guy taking orders. He started out with just drinks. I ordered two waters with lemons for me and my sister. 30 minutes later, no one has their drinks. 45 minutes later, I still didn't have my water! I asked where my water was and another gal said she would bring some. There were several different workers around at that point and another gentlemen came up and asked if I was the one asking for water. He brought a pitcher but of course I didn't even have a cup to fill! 10 minutes later, still no cup or water. I had given up at that point! The original server never even asked me if I wanted food (which I did). Terrible service for a large group! Very unorganized! I shouldn't have had to wait an hour for a glass of water that never came and I shouldn't have to wait around that long for someone to take my order that never happened! I will never return there with a large group and I will recommend to the rest not to hold a function there again!

This place is a great deal at Happy Hour- which is what we did. The sample platter- try it. Will most likely go back here since its my niece's favorite place.

Lets get the one biggest issue with this Black Angus out of the way.  One thing that is consistent with this Black Angus is the wait. I've dined here with a group of 10+, party of 2, and even just myself.  Each and every time, at least a 20+ minute wait to be seated. Even worse, once seated an even longer time waiting for your food/order. But we all know this and should plan for it when coming here. Yes...a quick dining experience at this location is at least 2 hours.  For those that haven't been here before, read up on the reviews and plan. I don't fault this Black Angus for the wait because it's really not their fault. Majority of the time it's because the place is packed and they do not rush you out, like they shouldn't.

Now for the food. Steaks is what it's all about, specifically it's all about their filet mignon. Their breads, soups, lobster, appetizers, and shrimp are all pretty good.  But it's the steak that I come for. I admit, not Ruth Chris or top line steak house good, but for the price it's just right. Sometimes their steak can be too greasy or even salty. My suggestion is to ask your server how the steaks are that day.  He or she will normally tell you what the other patrons have complimented or complained about.  Then make your decision for there. I've found through the years that asking the right questions, not only got me little more TLC, but always got the steak made just right.

It's Black Angus. It's a brand, but is affordable for pretty good steak.

Went there last night, great food, best value, and great service!  The bread is soooo good.  Buddy had prime rib and I had filet mignon, both so delicious.  We topped the night off with the famous mud pie.   Great service from Brian, and the hostess, and the Manager Ron.  We initially planned on going to Outback in Bonita, but the wait was an hour, so we decided to go to Angus instead, soooo glad we did.  We will be back, thank you.

Meal: prime rib (medium well done), mango ice tea, sample appetizer, and mud pie dessert

Atmosphere/service: slow with serving each meal and refill but the waitress was polite.

Overall, on a Friday afternoon they accommodated a group of eleven hungry adults and filled us all up with delicious food. This place is decent and I would come here again especially for their mud pie, mMmMm...Make sure to order medium well done or even medium rare because they tend to overcook their steaks.

Party of ten, two waitresses, overall a pretty bad time.
Horrible drinks, I ordered the lemonade, the lemon was there, but it tasted overall like water and lemon juice, there was NO sugar at all. I then ordered the blackberry ginger ale. This one tasted like sparkling water with blackberries thrown in.
My friend ordered the prime rib, which he said was dry, and that the seasoning looked like and tasted like it was just sprinkled on. I ordered the salmon, which came out dry and tasteless.
We have had the same waitress every time we've come, she had always been nice and very patient with us. But the other one was a whole different story. Our other waitress, (Diane) was overall joyful throughout the whole meal, but towards the end when we were getting our dessert, one of my friends commented about how the gratuity was placed on his bill. She snatched the bill out of his hand and said," Look we've been trying to be nice to you all night," and walked away. We all sat there dumbfounded by her rudeness.
After coming here for years, it's sad to say I will never be coming here again.

Food is great but pricey, customer service is good, that part that really sucked was the air conditioning cools but the ductwork for it condensates/sweats, so it constantly drips over your head and the tables, really frustrating when your trying to eat, they should really have that repaired especially with the prices that charge to eat there.

Ate here the first night of the Comic Con because we felt so accomplished and wanted steaks to reward ourselves without traveling too far from the hotel.  Plus when I go on vacation I ball out of control by going to chain steakhouses.

Service was nice the entire night but very slow, which at first seemed to be due to understaffing, but later in the night when the patron number had dwindled, it still seemed to take a while to get a refill on drinks or to get the check.  Actually it was faster when it was packed in there and the waitress was running all over the place.  Maybe she got tired early on.

Originally wanting a steak the angel on my shoulder eventually won out and I ordered Salmon instead.  I chose green beans with bacon and some wild rice dish as my sides.  The salmon was a little oily but overall it tasted nice.  The wild rice side complemented it well.  The green beans left a little to be desired and I felt like they tasted like something that would come with a Hungry Man Salisbury Steak microwave meal.  I've officially typed the most insulting thing in all my Yelp reviews.  I didn't come for the sides though, and the Salmon was good enough for me to ignore that

The jack and cokes were average, not as strong as I'd like but not watered down either.  The price was about what you'd expect at a chain like this.  Solid effort on the food, but making me wait for my 3rd jack and coke is not a wise move if you want a 4 or better.

Service was slow last night. My family and I went out to eat to celebrate my father's birthday.  We had a coupon and the 6 adults took advantage of it.  The coupon was for Dinner for 2 = $39. Comes with appetizer, 2 main course and dessert.

For mine and my sister's appetizer, we got the steak quesadilla.  My main entree was the prime rib cooked medium well and we shared the dessert that had berries with vanilla ice cream on a sugar cookie.

The steak quesadilla was okay.  I didn't like that they added barbecue sauce on the quesadilla though.  If I had known, I would've asked to have it without the sauce.  I tried my parents' appetizer, which was the fried zucchini.  It was tasty but the zucchini was cut so thin that the batter overpowered the taste of the zucchini.  My other sister and her hubby ordered the cheese bread, which was not bad.  It should have been toasted a little more though.

For my main course, I got the prime rib.  When I got it, they had forgotten my other side but they quickly retrieved it when I brought it to their attention.  I ordered the green beans are au gratin potatoes for my side.  The sides were a great compliment to my dish but the prime rib was sadly thin as well.

All in all, the food was above average.  Only thing is, the service was REALLY slow tonight.  It wasn't even that packed but perhaps it was because there was 8 of us in total and they had placed us all the way in the back of the restaurant.  Maybe they forgot we were there?  I don't know.  I just know if I'm going to pay a lot of money, I'd like the service to be up to par.  I doubt my family and I will come back without a coupon.  By the way, dessert was delish!!!

My lame-o family has been coming here for years.  I guess, literally, for over 35 years,  Sad, I know.  Hey, we ain't Ruth's Chris kind of folks.  We've had some really good times and celebrated some memorable occasions at this place.  I don't recall it being as painful as it's been these past few years, but that's a job for a psychologist, not Yelp.

Anyhow, this review isn't about the past 3 decades, it's about tonight's experience.  A late father's day dinner.  I already told you we were lame.

It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night and the 7 of us were seated fairly quickly.  Waaaaay in the back, as they likely recognized trouble when we walked in and wanted to make sure we were far enough away from the other guests.  It was nice, actually. Not in the dark little cubicles, but seated at a big table.

Shaunna was our server and I could tell right away that she was a "people person."  She had to be to deal effectively with us and our parents.

NOTE: Thank you, Shaunna, for putting up with us and sllllloooowwwwlly explaining the menu to my folks.  Three times.

And taking our photos.  Three times.

C'mon, mom, this isn't the first time you've been here: JUST ORDER TWO FRIGGIN' SIDES!  Dad, learn how to work your own camera! IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A FLASH, SO STOP LOOKING FOR ONE!

The bread was great, and she kept bringing it out like we were a group of Kenyans carbing up for a marathon.  Tasty.  The appetizers were brought out quickly.  They were hot and fresh, but why-o-why do we attempt to eat the artichoke?  We really aren't cool enough to be eating artichoke.  In public, or in private.

The meals were brought out hot and cooked to perfection -- everyone was happy.  Medium rare (brother), medium (me), medium well (wife and other bro)...it was all done just as we'd ordered it.

Drinks were refilled without asking and the desserts were brought out right away with coffees.

It is what it is, but where can you get such a nice meal for 7 for under $200? That's a fair deal.  (That was a rhetorical question, as we all know that YELP is the place to find good, reasonably-priced meals.)

We'll be back, I just know we will.   It's in our blood, it's our culture, it's a friggin' family tradition.  Arguably, a very lame one, but hey, we own it.

NOTE: This was a solid 3 1/2 star review (rounded up)

    BEWARE OF LENGTHY REVIEW!

I almost don't know where to begin. I fear that this review is going to be ridiculously long so perhaps I will use bullets instead.  We'll see how it goes.

This was a pretty bad experience but I had high hopes because we were seated immediately and by a very sweet young girl.  Following that, a friendly waitress began helping us.  She was very attentive to my son and made sure to ask if he needed anything special, so far so good!  It was down hill from there.  I was quickly reminded why I do not frequent Black Angus and will never dine there again.  Beware....many bullets ahead.

    - $2.99 raspberry strawberry lemonade with no refills tasted like watered down Tropicana without a hint of fresh fruit taste.  It was a nasty looking mess with a glob of fruit puree at the bottom

    - Salads came out very cold including the fork (nice touch) except that the 'vinegarette' tasted like pure onions and was very thick unlike a vinaigarette.  When this was brought to the attention of the waitress she simply said 'awww' as if to give us sympathy because our salad had suddenly died.

    - Cheeseburger was juicy only due to it being greasy. My bottom bun fell apart before I was half done due to the all the grease.  My patty was also flavorless.  I had to pack on ketchup and tons of bbq sauce to add some flavor.

    - Fries were limp and soggy. My son who never met a fry he didn't like, wouldn't eat but a few of them.

    - Fried shrimp seemed not to be cooked all the way.  They had a soft almost mushy texture.

    - Sirloin steak was very bland and needed quite a helping of A1.  It was also very well done when we asked that it be cooked medium.

    - Ny child's meal (pizza) was a sorry excuse for a pizza. The dough was very thick and was reminiscent of cafeteria style pizza from elementary school.  Again, he lives for pizza also but would not eat this crap.  Poor child, I don't blame him.

    - I wish I could have at least left the restaurant with my thirst quenched but my water glass sat empty at the edge the table all the way from the salad course.

    - Our waitress had to be tracked down by another passing by waitress for our check because she seemed to disappear after we complained that we did not like the 'vinaigarette'.

The only reason I am giving my visit 2 stars is because the hostess was very sweet, food came out hot and in good time and our waitress started out great.  That said, the entire meal was awful and not worth the $50 check.

I will be sending my comments to management of Black Angus corporate offices not so they can try and redeem themselves but so that maybe they can do something about the overpriced, awful food.  Next time I will go to Outback where my food is always good.

went here today to celebrate early mothers day...food was great! service was horrible..

the hubby and i ordered top sirloin(sp?) steak & lobster tail...FREAKIN AMAZING!!!!

the complimentary bread is always mouth watery..

our waittress, suzette, clueless about her job, i dunno if shes stupid, lazy or what, but if we ever get seated in her area, we'll def request a different table..

she never brought us more bread, our drinks were finally refilled by the time we were ready to leave, she spilled soda on our table and didnt clean it up, we had to wave her down a million times before we finally got our check...

i guess tips matter because she was only catering to the large groups that were seated around us...

anyhow, no tip was left for that moron...infact, we explained why on the receipt where the tip portion is located!

I'm sad to say this is my first negative review of Black Angus. :(

On March 28th 2012, my family went here to celebrate...

Our waitress (Shannon M) did something I've never seen before. In addition to our orders well over $100 of steaks, we ordered two 16oz orange juices. But Shannon brought out two 8oz glasses and explained why we were getting more juice because there was no ice.  This didn't sit well so i approached her away from my family and she insisted SHE was right in giving us smaller glasses than advertised.

I couldn't believe it.  We gave Black Angus very good business that night and Shannon decided to be stingy with 16oz of orange juice.  I planned to deduct the loss from her tip, but she automatically added %15 gratuity.

I ordered a medium well top sirloin and it arrived well done and dry.  I asked, "what is this?" and she replied, "Its yours."

Also, we announced when we sat down that it was my sisters Birthday but Shannon forgot about that too.

Lastly, FYI for those who want to know: Black Angus does not offer military discount :(

On a positive note, the greeter was very nice and the ambiance is as always very pleasing and inviting!

Standing by to hear from the owner.

Family day for us here on Wednesdays.
We take advantage of the prime rib special.

We usually sit in the booth by the bathroom. Hate the location of our seats but love the older gentleman who serves us when we sit there.

We'd give 5 stars if it weren't for this last experience.

We were seated somewhere hidden in the back. 15 minutes after being seated, Felipe shows up all confused.

"Oh I'll be your waiter? Can I get you something to drink?"

    No, were ready to order.

Our water & dinner bread, that's always great arrives.

20 minutes later, The busman passes by and offers us more bread.

    Sure.

15 minutes later, the busman offers more water.

By then, we've been there for 50 minutes eating nothing but bread and water.

Felipe passes by and says, "I'm gonna check on your food, k?"

15 minutes later, it arrives....cold. Green beans and potatoes hard as rocks.

We were starving so I just didn't bother anymore.

We didn't get how the restaurant could be empty where we were sitting and we were in and out in 1 hr and 50 minutes.

Goodness, my daughter asked for the kids hamburger. It was so lame! Bread and meat. That's it. No lettuce or tomatoes...nothing. She had to add the ketchup for flavor. For $6 she could've gotten a better cheeseburger at Boll Weevil! I uploaded it to the pictures so you can see what I mean.

Upon exiting the restaurant, the sweet hostess asked how everything was, I didn't mean to scare her when I said, "terrible, just awful. You're great, but everything else was just horrible."

    Sorry.

But now we know we need to request the older gentleman by the bathrooms from now on.

So  we took my daughter here to celebrate her 8th grade promotionwith family and grandparents. The service started out strong. My oldest daughter had a scratcher and gave it to the manager. The manager scratched and told us all that we all get free dessert! We were so excited! When it came time for the dessert, we were told our dinners didn't qualify. I find it hard to believe that 5 adults could misunderstand him. Needlessly to say we were all very disappointed. On a side note, the food was excellent and the S'mores dessert was awesome! We tried to forget that the manager, host and waiter soured our mood on such a great celebration night. And to think, it would only have cost them 4 desserts to keep us happy as customers (it was after all a promotional scratcher to drive business in), will we go back? Naa, probably not. There are just too many choices out there...

Took my girlfriend here for her free steak dinner value up to $19.99. She got the 8 oz. Top Sirloin Center cut medium rare with mashed potatoes and green beans. Her cut of meat was not as tender as it could have been but it did come out medium rare as she requested. I had the 8 oz. Sesame Teriyaki Top Sirloin medium rare with a salad and green beans. My steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy. The salad was basic (not too exciting) and the green beans were rather tasty. I like that they use fresh green beans sauteed with bacon. Mmm bacon! Plus I got the Blackberry Ginger Ale which was quite tasty, no free refills on this drink, but it does come in a 25 oz. mug! Both dinners cost about $20 each so with the free birthday dinner it was a rather inexpensive date night. Make sure you sign up for the free birthday dinner!

I went here recently with some family members.  We were a party of 8. We arrived there around 6:00 pm. There were a few customers there but the place wasn't extremely busy. First of all, the hostess needed a class on customer service. She appeared to be on drugs because she wasn't completely there. She acted like the Black Angus was the last place she wanted to be that night.
My party ordered appetizers and drinks. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed by our order. He did bring us extra bread which was nice. Even though the place wasn't busy, it took forever to get our order delivered to our table. We finally had to go to the mamanger to get our food delivered to our table. This was at least an hour after we placed our order. When the food did arrive, the meat was tough as leather. If I were you, avoid this place. For what we paid, we could have had a better meal elsewhere.

A decent place to eat and drink.  Not an over priced steak place, but the meats are very good and cooked as you like.  I could have gone with 4 stars, but it is a chain, a good one, but A-Ok fits the bill.

Varied menu with lots of options as to toppings (grilled onions & mushrooms), sides (asparagus for extra, lots of potato preparations), small and larger cuts of meat, etc.

Excellent fresh baked sweet bread, I guess oatmeal honey wheat is part of the meal.  The garden salad is fresh, chilled (to include the plate and fork) and is complete with crutons and more than just lettuce.  Dressings come across as in-house made (I always get ranch).

Bar is great.  Bartenders don't pimp extra drinks, rather they respond to your wants and are friendly.  In fact, I eat at the bar when in town and it is as comfortable as sitting in one of the many booth tables and you can watch TV while you eat.

A little pricey, but a decent place to go with family, friends or alone.

I go here 3 - 5 times a year when traveling to San Diego/Chula Vista.

In a nutshell:  Great service, mediocre food, tacky ambiance.

I came here with a group of 7 for my brother's birthday, mainly because my dad was somehow gifted with a gift card.

We brought in a coupon from the sunday newspaper.  $14.99 for a piece of steak, some ribs, shrimp, two sides, and a slice of watermelon.  It's a lot of food for the price. The ribs and steak (I forget what kind) were good, but the shrimp was dry.  My mom got some other promo listed in the menu- prime rib and mud pie for $14.99.

Most of us got the summer trio. My sides were sweet potato fries and broccoli with shaved parmesan.  The fries were cold.  I really should've ordered the baked potato soup.  It was delicious.

Our server was the nicest and most accommodating.

They even brought out a large chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a candle for my brother.  So nice!

Overall, it's not a place to go to for a "fancy" dinner, but it was decently priced, mediocre steak.

My dining experience here at Black Angus was overall positve.

I started my meal with a garden salad that was well,....very ordinary at best. The main course arrived next after a reasonable wait and my rib-eye steak was cooked perfectly.I ordered my steak medium rare and thats exactly what I recieved! I found a nice pink center when I cut my meat.

My side dishes, which comprised of a baked potato and steamed brocolli/grilled squash was well prepared and delicious.

I ended the meal with the molten lava chocolate cake.Rich, decadent, and satisfying best describes this dessert.

Black Angus is obviously not the best steakhouse in San Diego but what I have sampled here was generally good and I would dine here again.

    Black ANGUISH.

Why oh why did my beloved friend Pete have to pick this overwrought behemoth?

    Birthday coupon.
Except he didn't read the fine print.
Since I don't eat beef I couldn't order anything expensive enough to get him his deal, which was basically a buy one/get one free.

He liked his rack o' ribs ($21) but there didn't seem to be an awful lot of meat on them.
My salad was sad, so very sad.

I can safely say I won't enter these darkened, mock-hunting lodge walls ever again..

As you can see I'm a big steak eater. I went here for uhmmm steak. Medium rare. I just love how tender the steak was and mouth watering it was. I went here for lunch and surprisingly there wasn't enough people, maybe it helped that it was a week-day??? HMMMM!!!

I love black angus, but this on in Chula is the worst! If I was not with family members  I would have returned my shared plate of boiled pasta and what they call alfredo sauce.. and shrimp...GAG. It took them over an hour to get our food out. Yes we have about 8 people but it's a freakin resturant and there was hardly anyone in there...no joke. AND they might want to hire someone that speaks and understands english... bc he totally F*d up the orders. Anyhow go to the one in Clairemont... nice friendly service and food doesnt take over an hour. Fresh hot food, always. Not food that obviously been left out bc the waiter couldn't pick up his feet... so boooo no stars if i could!

This is probably the restaurant that I have brought my kids the  most.  LOVE THE MOLASSES BREAD!!! The booths with the red semi circle highbacked seats are the best (for me) to contain my kids from bothering other people. The service here is great. My husband and I always order the "Dinner for Two" menu. They usually have this coupon circulating but sometimes we forget to bring it (or we threw it away), and the waitress/waiter will still give us the discounted price. A savings of almost $10. (We give it back as part of their tip).We stick with bleu cheese and or ranch dressing dips. I dared to try their horseradish? dip and regretted it. They seldom overcook our food, or they simply just get us a new plate.

The food is definitely not a WOW, but better than other places.

It's really awesome that they have their "TO GO" parking spots, too. I recommend ordering "TO GO" if you want to save time and money. They'll have your food ready in 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes. No overpriced and over iced drinks, and no tips.
