I'm a people watcher and I totally dig this bar, popcorn ceiling and all! It's a hidden gem (more or less) and the decor is quirky. The drinks are decent, the prices aren't horrible, the female middle-aged bartender is chill, and I enjoy that there's a pool table and dart boards. Cards are accepted -- $10 minimum.
Review Source:Somewhere I will never go again for karaoke or drinks. Â Too many tweekers for my liking each time I have been in there. Â I have been there about 12 different times over the past 5 years. And the women's restroom smells like cat urine. Â Now if you like to watch people this may indeed be your place. Â I sure hope they have cleaned the place up.
Review Source:You will miss it if you don't know its there..The Black Stallion has been part of Orangevale for ever..dark, old, quiet - drinks are good and strong. Has a pool table, dance floor and an area for bands. They do the Karaoke thing some nights, just not sure which one. It is in the corner of the newly remodeled strip mall, next to a tattoo parlor, and a Mexican restaurant (the name escapes me). They were only taking cash last time I was in and the ATM machine was kaput..It is a great place for a mid day drink, or after work meet. Â Crowd tends to be a bit older, same as Jans across the street. Â The only downside is the music selection on the Juke is really outdated, and expensive.
