I've been here twice and the service went from bad to worse. I vow never to come back here.

All I can say is BRAVO!!! The Baked Fish Filet with Black Pepper Sauce was perfectly cooked, excellent display and presentation, very hot, and portion was just right! This place stays busy I the evenings, so if you are kinda mellow like me, come in the afternoon on a Sunday. Kudos to the excellent chefs and staff! I hope this place stays open for a very long time!

We were very excited when we saw this place.  It is located in the "Old Chinatown" area which has many older (but legendary) Chinese restaurants.

The front of the restaurant is a cafe where you order at the counter, pay for your food, and then sit down.  They bring the food to you when it is ready.  In the back there are the private karaoke rooms which come in small, medium, and large.

Karaoke rooms use an electronic interface for selecting and controlling the karaoke system.  Not the easiest to use and again what I don't like about the electronic system is that only one person can sit in front of it and enter songs into the queue.  I am waiting for the karaoke systems to catch up to the digital age - they should have 2 Ipads per room so that you can pick songs digitally without leaving your seat.  Or, even better have an app that you can download and pick songs that would update your queue - that would be fancy pants!

The food is fairly reasonable in terms of price and taste.  The dinner food I would say is average.  I do like that they have lots of dessert options...best case scenario is to eat dinner somewhere else (Boba Cafe across the street?) then come over here for dessert and karaoke.

As mentioned by previous reviewers, the happy hour prices are fantastic.  I guess once you are in the windowless room, you forget that it is 4:45 PM and you are freak show for going to do karaoke at that time.  Oh well, I am a chepass so I would do it just to save $$.

I would say Blue Moon's not that bad. However, I don't understand why they charge 1$ for a cup of water and did not mention anything about the charge when we asked for the water. We had nine people, so wow...and for some reason, I ordered black sticky rice with coconut milk? something like that. It turned out to be sour for some reason, I told them about this problem, and it took them more than half an hour to exchange me another one. But the second one still came out to be a little bit sour; not sure if that's how it's suppose to taste. They were slow on service, but I don't think they were that busy either........Too many complains, don't know where to start. I'll give it a 3 star, and that's it!

We'll I guess I'll give this place a 3. The food was mediocre, which I had the ''tofu with salted fish''.   My dish was overloaded with mouthfuls of tofu and hardly any fish.  The service wasn't bad.

I would say that this is a reasonable place and about what you'd expect. The food is acceptable and neither great nor terrible.

But this eatery, as its name implies, is more than just a cafe. OK first I have to let it be known I am not at all a fan of Karaoke, but the hubs wanted to take our boys who are 6 & 8 yrs old to have them at least experience it.  This eatery features private karaoke rooms, up to I'd say 10 people per room. These are available at an hourly rate, which we visited during happy hour, which takes place daily between 2 and 7 p.m.,  and the session only set us back $12 per hour.

While the food again isn't awe-inspiring, it's nice to at least know that when you're a little buzzed and hankering for your favorite childhood snack, this place will come through--at any hour since it's open until 2a.m.

Showed up at midnight. Got sat right away. Took awhile to get service but it was quickly made up! Ordered the black bean chow fun, filet fish with garlic sauce, fish ball soup, deep fried cheese wontons and some milk teas. The food came out surprisingly fast! The lady refilled my drinks before they were empty and prebussed my table throughout the meal. Surprisingly the best service ive received at a asian restaurant! I really enjoyed all my dishes as well to end it off!

    2. the staff is incredibly friendly, really...really friendly without being dutschy and sitting at your table like they are your homie

    3. they dont just serve edible food..they serve a WIDE variety of food and so far its all been tasty as hell

...oh yeah and they do karaoke and have little rooms for it... awesome

Yummmy in my tummy Asian food! Came here after work (around 11pm)... hungry! The waitresses were very nice. The food came out reasonably fast (always a plus!).

For appetizers, we got the crispy noodles... they weren't as crispy as I would like them to be, but still pretty good.

My friend ordered the seafood birdsnest (BOMB) and I ordered the baked seafood rice with cream sauce (mmmmm)... the only thing about this dish was that it lacked an abundant amount of seafood, I saw more onions I think.

Can I just say that I love crepes? & for dessert I had the crepe... OMFGFFKGJKDJFKDF! strawberry nutella crepe with green tea ice cream on top. It made me soo hepppyyyy!

My boyfriend and I came in for a late lunch and there was only one other table besides us.
First off, this place was pretty dirty. I pulled my seat out and there was food all over it, not to mention the greasy table.
I ordered the minced pork over rice with egg and my bf got the chow fun. My dish was so good. I just wish they didn't cook the egg so thoroughly, I like mine a little runny. My bf's chow fun was okay but there was literally 4 pieces of meat on there to go with the bundle of noodles. He was pretty disappointed. My bf was really thirsty halfway through our meal and the servers weren't paying attention to us at all, we had to ask for several refills.
Lastly, we ordered our crepe! We decided to keep it simple and get the strawberry crepe with added vanilla ice cream. It was deliciousss! I was pretty satisfied with my meal, sadly I can't say the same for my bf lol but for the food I give them 2 stars and one more for the dessert. I had to notch off 2 stars for the horrible service, dirty chair, table, and utensils.

Great place to check out if you're in the mood for singing. Its open late and has food. It seemed as though it was a medium place. There weren't that many rooms and our huge party was a little packed. Even after they moved us into the largest room.

There are only really two locations in Sacramento to karaoke as of this post. There is Blue Moon Cafe and Rurulala.

Having been a Rurulala regular for years, I watched as the hourly prices increased time after time. When Blue Moon opened up, I was glad that competition in karaoke around Sacramento might make it tougher for businesses to potentially overcharge for services. Not to mention, Rurulala sometimes suffers from "unfriendly no customer service Asian business" syndrome.

It really sucks that Blue Moon suffers from several serious flaws that threaten it's existence to sustain as a business.

The karaoke machines and equipment in Blue Moon are sub-par, even as far as Chinese made and imported systems go. I've personally seen microphones fail, batteries popped, and TV sets lose coloration from damage. The song selection system is clunky, but after experience is semi-easy to navigate. I've suffered from bouts of incredibly loud feedback from improper equipment set up. Rooms and microphones are sometimes unkempt. There is a no smoking policy, but depending on who runs the joint at night there can be incredible amounts of smoking, and drunk hot messes ruining the fun for other patrons.

On the plus side, the food/snacks/drinks are plentiful and decent. All food and services are really cheap, especially if you have a discount.

My only real major problem with this place, beyond everything I have stated, is the fact that I had a really bad experience one night while here. An extremely large and rowdy group proceeded to open their room doors, sing at the top of their lungs, smoke, and act ridiculous all over the place. The staff was overwhelmed and I felt incredibly sorry for them, but I felt that they should have taken better control of the situation.

I'll come back, but with caution.

So after having dinner at OZ some friends and I wanted to go sing Karaoke. Since we've been to Rurulala before, I wanted to check out this other spot my friend recommended. I went on yelp and automatically was excited to go to this spot. This spot is cheaper per hour, they use a touch screen pad to do music search. They even serve boba & crepes along with beer and sake/soju. I was Sold! So we get there after dinner on friday 4/5/2013 all the rooms are occupied and we didn't reserve a room. Understandable, maybe we'll go tomorrow night after dinner and make sure to reserve a room at 10pm.

After having dinner at Shabu Japanese Fondue, we were all ready and excited to go sing Karaoke at Blue Moon Cafe. We get there, and our reserved room is ready for us at 10pm... Score! Even though it wasn't listed on the menu, we ordered beer and sake.... Score! Our room was spacious, the mics were wireless and songs were cool to find on the touch screen pad. Score!

Here's were it all falls apart... at 11:30 pm a girl worker comes to our room and asks us how long do we plan on staying here because someone else reserved the room at 11:30.  WTH! we just got here. We just bought beer and a big bottle of sake. We even picked and reserved alot of songs. That was the first time I have EVER had someone come a private karaoke room and ask how much longer do you plan on staying because someone else has reserved the room. First of all, I never knew there was a time limit on a karaoke room. Out of all the Private Room Karaoke places i've been to this has NEVER happened to me until now. If you let me reserve the room at 10pm, at least tell me that another party has reserved the room after at 1130pm, then I probably wouldn't have reserved it in the first place.

As we were leaving we asked the guy working there "is there a time limit per room?" he says no. You can stay as long as you want. He then apologized if the girl had offended us. We only got to stay there for an hour and a half. To salvage the night we ended going back to Rurulala and you know what, they had an available room and not once did they tell us they had other people who reserved that room after us. From the 3 times that i've been to Rurulala, i've had fun and was never disappointed. Here I go to Blue Moon Cafe and Karaoke for the first time and it's an EPIC FAIL!. If they let us stay like they were supposed to then it would have easily been my new favorite spot. I may give this place one more chance in the future, but for now I'm really angry!

I really tried to like this place. The girls who worked there when it first opened were nice and attentive, but now, they seem to not care.

Their menu clearly states to mention any food allergies so they can accommodate you. My girlfriend has a bad time with soy products, and she likes to eat mixed vegetable dishes. Like most other places, mixed vegetable dishes usually include tofu, which she asks that they omit. The first couple of times she ordered that, they removed the tofu from the dish. But the times after that, the waitress refused to not add tofu. She said "the cook won't do it". She was new, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. But on follow up visits she refused still, and made a comment about "I remember you, you always come and ask to not put the tofu, and i always say we can't do that". I told her, my girlfriend is allergic to soy, and your menu says to let you know of any allergies. She didn't care.. I mean how hard is it to not add tofu? we are technically saving them money by telling them not to add it... but for whatever reason, they just can not accommodate, even though it was done before.

On almost all our visits, the service is very slow. Slow to order, slow to get our food, slow to get our refills.. and the thing that upsets me the most.. slow to get the bill! It takes forever to get the bill, even if they cleared our plates, we are just sitting there, waiting. And when we finally get our bill, it takes longer for them to come back to pay it. I have never worked in a restaurant, but it kind of makes sense to be quick with the bill. I assume restaurants make money from turning the tables over, and getting people out, and new people in... so whats the delay? I don't want to sit in a cheap restaurant for an hour late at night. I want to eat and go home.

Sorry, I really tried to like this place, although the food is okay, the service is horrible. If you want better service, go to the Chinese restaurant in the same building, they do anything for you. Perhaps if I walk by and see different staff, I may give it another shot.

Food is great and plentiful. Service is fast and friendly. I'd love to come back and try more of their dishes.  I had the Spicy Eggplant w/ Minced Pork, two of my friends had the Minced Pork w/ Egg, another had the Sliced Beef over rice, and one had the Popcorn Chicken w/ Fries.  My friend ordered an appetizer of fried noodles, I'm not sure of the exact name for it, but I tried a piece and it had a brown peanut type of sauce over it.  It was pretty good.

Each entree comes with soup and salad, so we had enough to eat.  Just when we thought we couldn't keep going, we all shared a crepe filled with strawberries and whip cream, with a scoop of vanilla on top. :) It was A-mazing!

The waitress was nice, but she seemed nervous.  I asked for sriracha and she didn't know what it was.  Another customer, I'm assuming friend of hers had to tell her in their language what it was.  No biggie.

I called in to make a reservation, but it sounded more like having a phone conversation with someone by the freeway. This very nice young lady picked up the phone and spoke a sort of broken English. She took all my info, but almost forgot to ask me for the time of the reservation...

Fun times karaoking. Been here twice and both experiences have been good.  The machine is a bit hard to figure out, especially if you don't have any knowledge of Chinese, but after you figure it out it's still difficult, but not too bad.  Pricing is pretty good too.  I've never had the food here, so can't comment on that.

    The WORST DINING EXPERIENCE!!!

This place is terrible. I've came here before because of the late hours. I've been here 3 times before and after last night this will most certainly be my last. I've never seen worst service than this. The waitresses gave this unwelcoming feeling, that we weren't to be there. The food was terrible and just about killed me, had to return a 1/3 of the order, a 1/3 didn't show up and the last 1/3 I wish I never ate.

Terrible service include and most certainly are not limited to.
    -Orders never showed up
-no details on menu, be careful of the black pepper chicken. No indication it's made in hell.
-waitress grabs silverware on mouth piece
    -rude, uhgg!!! Personalities
    -not welcoming
-waited 15 minutes to sit, 30 minutes for food and total wasted time 1 hr plus
-ZERO REFILLS, even when placed on the end of the table with no water.

This is a terrible place, I would highly recommend you stick it out and get in-n-out over this crap.

These are the best things at Blue Moon:
    Hot Oil Wontons
    Pan Fried Rice Noodles
    Onion Pork Iron Plate
Baked Bacon and Sausage Rice with Black Bean Sauce
Russian Borcht Soup or Creamy Pumpkin Soup
Savory crepes - Tuna Melt or Basil Chicken
Jasmine Milk Tea is soooo smooth
Peanut Butter Waffle with condensed milk drizzled all over is fantastic! A.K.A. HK Style waffle.
It gets PACKED on Friday and Saturdays so if you want a room, you should definitely make a reservation! I mean, it's only common sense to make a reservation for a busy night. It's $20/hr for a room of 3-5 people $30/hr for a room of 6-10 people and $45/hr for a room of 11 +.
They have a wide variety of drinks and food!

My friends and I frequent Blue Moon on nights we don't feel like going to the club but still want to dance.  Blue Moon serves as the go to spot on weekdays, weekends, for prepartying and even afterpartying.  I even met up with some friends who started at Ruru and decided to finish up at Blue Moon before, haha.  It's closer to home, is decently priced and serves great food!  Although, I have had a few entrees that were not satisfactory.

Their food served on a sizzling plate are usually pretty tasty and their appetizers make for GREAT beer food.  They serve buckets of beer but no liquor; have no fear, there's a liquor store across the street!  I've had a savory crepe before and was disappointed but their dessert crepes look beautiful, I can't wait to be sober enough to order one of my own.  My girlfriends and I also came here after dining at New Hong Kong Wok across the street once just to grab some boba and waffles.

Their karaoke rooms are definitely not as nice as Oishii but that's why it's cheaper.  You can order drinks and food from your room and it'll be delivered to your room so you can eat while you belch your heart out!  If you're a girl, you can also jump from room to room and see who lets you in..you'll be surprised! ;)

My buddy prefers late night eats.

    GOOD:
Open late in a town that doesn't party. But when there's a party... It's elsewhere, in midtown. The server was sweet and friendly though.

    BAD:
The drinks are meh. Ordered a milk tea.

Our friends have been raving about how much better this place is compared to rurulala, honestly, I don't see what is so special. The food is decent for a place that serves food at 3am, for convenience wise, it nice to have a last resort. If you are looking for a place to sober up and karaoke, this place is great.

I did not care for the karaoke room, it felt dirty and run down. I felt like I was I in a closet turned into karaoke room. It didn't have the karaoke feel like other places in Sacramento.

One great thing about this place is the management. He was very nice and accommodating. I heard that they don't mind if you BYOB, so I heard. If this is true, this is awesome because these type of places never  allows it.

Overall, not my favorite karaoke spot in Sacramento, but if asked to go, I won't turn it down.

    2.5 stars...

    Enjoy!

I seriously came here about 10 times in the last month! I'm not big on karaoke so I guess that's why it took me so long to try it. And the crowd here is definitely not my cup of tea (lots of college type Asians or transfer students from Asia and on the weekends, kinda ghetto gangster looking Asians- they mind their own business, just a little intimidating lol) but the food is seriously GOOOOOD!! =) So Blue Moon is like my new found guilty pleasure lol.

Besides the delicious crepes, the one thing that keeps me coming back here is the Kimchi Beef Ramen Soup $7- I totally fell in love with this soup. I am now a believer in Kimchi and Ramen. Lol. I'm sorry if I've offended any Ramen lovers out there, but I just wasn't that impressed by Ramen. In order for me to love something, I've got to crave it and Ramen never did that to me. And I'm a noodle lover too (rice noodles are my fav!) But there's something about this Kimchi Ramen combo that they make here. It's like plain.... but not. Salty but in a good way, spicy but not enough to burn my taste buds.... it's PERFECT!! =) So, for that dish alone, they deserve 5 stars but I've tried other things here and they were okay, so that's why I'm giving them an overall score of 4 stars.

    Other items I've had:
Hot Oil Wonton $5- It smells as good as it tastes, authentic wontons in a spicy sauce. Sooo good! I almost always have to order this when I come.
Club Sandwich $6- Not the American club sandwich, it needed more meat. And it was pretty bland- wouldn't order this again. However the egg and the trimming off the edges of the bread was nice.
Baked Portuguese Chicken $7- Pretty good. Baked fried rice with chicken in a tomato sauce all baked together- it works!
Basil Chicken $7- If you love basil the way I do, you will love this. Packed with tons of basil flavor. It's delicious but watch out, it's piping hot!!
Mango Split $6- I love the cocoa crispy things they top the ice cream with.
Two Flavor Fruit Crepe $5.25- YUMMY!
The dessert crepes are BOMB! Not too thin and chewy! I usually get the mango and bananas with vanilla ice cream on top.

The prices are great for what you pay for and I feel like the food is pretty decent, just stick to the items with pictures on it. Some stuff looks pretty authentic, so I wouldn't recommend you ordering it unless you're adventurous like that. The place is easy to find, right off Freeport and down the street from Sac City, and they have their own parking, but it does get pretty packed! The girls who work here are super sweet, they do have an accent but they never get annoyed or bitchy when you ask them to repeat themselves. So if you haven't been here yet, it's a must try! At least come for the crepes because they really are Delicious! =)

Blue Moon Cafe and Karaoke is a place of madness during the weekends - especially after the club! Packed but fun at times.

There are a lot of food choices on the menu, but they are always out of certain items. The food is okay, not all that great but it does seem to bring all types of people and friends together to have a good time. Crepes are good, noodle soups are bland, and their smoothies are waaaaaay too sweet but overall prices are reasonable. Cheap Karaoke, rooms are pretty legit, and songs are very up-to-date.

Besides all that, watch out for the server chick in the PINK CONVERSE CHUCKS. She's nice most of the time but when it starts to get crowded and busy, her attitude needs to go! RUDE!

It was that time of the month: roommate dinner time!  Prior to this meal, I'd only been here for a crepe (delicious strawberry kiwi with vanilla AND green tea ice cream...).  I'd heard a lot of good things about this place, and definitely wanted to give it a try for some real grub.

We arrived and were promptly seated.  The restaurant was clean and you could hear the karaoke music bumping in the back rooms; it didn't really seem to bother anyone. After looking at the pretty extensive menu (I posted pictures of the menu in the picture section), we decided on the following:

    1. Hot Oil Wontons - delicious!  I love wontons anyway so I suppose I could be biased, but I thought they were pretty tasty and not really spicy.  My roommate can't really handle spicy but she tolerated these pretty well. We also used a little red vinegar (yes, I'm a fan of this too!) to dip the wontons in as well - it added a little sourness that was actually quite complementary.

    2. Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - fabulous.  Not everyone likes the texture of brisket, and it's not always the most tender, but it was quite good in this savory broth.  There were some veggies tossed in, as well as some ramen-like noodles. This would definitely be a filling meal for lunch.

    3. Beef Chow Fun - not bad.  I can't say this was the best chow fun I've ever had (Yummy Juice has a FANTASTIC beef or seafood chow fun with egg - go eat it) but it wasn't bad.  My roommate suggested sprinkling a little red vinegar on it and, to my surprise, it tasted better (then again...my taste buds could be lying since they know I'm a red vinegar fan).

    4. Chicken, Black Mushroom with Chinese Sausage Rice Clay Pot - decent.  This isn't a huge dish...so you would prolly want to order something else in addition to it.  This came with a sauce on the side that you pour on top.  I was kind of expecting pieces of chicken breast or little chicken legs but the chicken was cut up chicken wings.  There also didn't seem to be a lot of meat (Chinese sausage or chicken) either.  On the whole, it wasn't a bad dish...but I prolly won't get it again.

After polishing off all the dishes (yup, hunger can make you do crazy things), we were quite stuffed.  On the whole, the dishes were good and the staff was pretty attentive.  I'll definitely be back to try some more of the dishes on the menu, and prolly more of the desserts :D

good hk cafe with some asian fusion food that also offers karaoke. The boba here is terrible though.

    thai milk tea with boba
hard boba with powdered bland tea. Cant get any worse than this. 0/5

    basil chicken rice
taste similar to the thai basil noodles at siamese street in stockton but instead of noodles, rice is used instead. Good flavor and spice 4/5

    seafood crispy rice noodle
good portions of seafood and crispy noodles. not too heavy on the gravy 3.5/5

    chocolate fruit waffle
the waffle was the size of the big plate with chocolate syrup all over 4 kinds of fruit (kiwi, peach, strawberry, bananna) Good dessert big enough for 2 people. 3.5/5

Overall a very nice and clean place to hang out at night in sacramento. I woulnt mind coming back here at night

The food here isn't the best.  Many things I've tried are mediocre (snacks, noodles, desserts).  Theres only 2 thing, maybe 3 that are worth coming back for.  First are the crepes.  These are definitely better than the French style dessert crepes from Crepe Escape or Crepeville. When they first opened they spent more time on presentation.  The crepes would have cute faces on them, making them almost too adorable to eat.  Note I said ALMOST.  Take a picture and dig in! You won't regret it.  The last 5-6 times I have been there, presentation has been lacking.  No cute faces and it just looks sloppy. We eat with out eyes first!
Second the minced pork with rice is yummy.  It comes in a clay pot with an egg, bok choy, and a side of soup.
Third, if you like to karaoke this place is much cheaper than Rurulala and have newer equipment.  Staff and service are decent.

We went to this place because two people in our group didn't want to go out to a bar. It's ok for a karaoke place not for drinking. The waitress told us she had another party coming in an hour and that we could take this room for the hr before the other party showed up. We were in the room for 3.5hrs and the party never showed. (somehow I think we got jipped). Anyhow by the end of the night our total bill was 180!! for 3.5 hrs GESH! We were better off drinking at pockets across the street and singing in our cars.

If you plan to drink and hang out don't go here, but if you're serious about perfecting your karaoke craft come here and be the next sing star.

Whoever came up with the idea of delicious eats and karaoke in a one-stop shop is simply GENIUS! I first came here with a good girlfriend after zumba and we grubbed on Hot Pot Rice w/Minced Pork, Over Easy Egg & Bok Choy and the Five Spice Noodle (ramen). BOMB-DIGGITY! My favorite dish is the hot pot dish and I get it every time I come to Blue Moon Cafe. The food is on the healthier side and not greasy at all.

There were also a lot of other interesting items on the menu and their dessert menu was not what you would expect at an Asian restaurant. I believe this restaurant is more Hong Kong style because they even had spaghetti, crepes, and some other yummy deliciousness I can't remember at the moment. But definitely check this place out!

Calling attention to all you KARAOKE lovers - they have private karaoke rooms! So after stuffing your face with some YUM YUM you can go sing your heart out! Just remember not to break any windows though! I kidd, I kidd!

This is an awesome place to go with a group of friends and have some fun and good eats. The portions are also VERY generous!

A group of us came here to karaoke for a friend's birthday. The private room had comfortable couches, tables for your food/drinks, and a flat screen tv. The karaoke system had a touch screen monitor to look up artists/songs. There was a wide variety of songs, including Asian songs. Some of the music videos were amusing to watch. The cost is reasonable especially when split amongst everybody in a group.

I didn't order any food (surprise, surprise), so I don't know if it's any good. You can order and pay for the food outside and they bring the food to your room. The food took a while to come out though.

I love karaoke!! The rooms are great for groups and though the machine is a little tricky to use at first, the song selection is pretty good with recent songs and oldies mixed in. I believe it was $20/hour so not bad if you split it with a large group. No alcohol is served though.

But food and desserts are served, directly to your room! We got a fruit waffle and crepe with ice cream and the ice cream was so bomb. It was vanilla, but the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had! Also had cream cheese wontons which were tasty and only $1.95 for 4. What a steal! The taro smoothie on the other hand was not good. Avoid that one.

    Food:

Minced pork with egg and Rice- my favorite..  the pork is minced and flavored with some Salt&pepper with a hint soy sauce/fish sauce  THIS IS GOOD you must try!!!!! the price of this was 6.95 i think.  so cheap so good..

the beef kimchi raman noodles is good ONLY if you like noodles all overcooked like that.  the beef is tender and the kimchi is good..  goes the same with rice!

The bird nest with mix veggies was really bland we need some soy sauce to complete it.

The rice flour pancake was 2/5 A-OK.

fried popcorn chicken needs some spice but was definitely good..

chicken wings with salt and pepper wassssssssss delcious!

DO NOT ORDER THE SEAFOOD SPEGETTI- FAILED!

SO many things on the menu i want to order but this is good for now until i want to branch out to try new things. FOR NOW ILL stick with my minced pork with egg and rice #100!!!!! soooooooooo gooodddddddd i want some right now just reviewing about it!

Services sucks here so dont expect the best.. so lower ur expectation to service..

crepes are gooddddddddddddddd, but the last time i went they said their crepe machine wont warm up until another 15 mins when i ordered 15 minutes ago! ahhh.

This place is a pretty good place to hang out. It is ideal because you can sing, laugh, drink, and eat while you have the munchies. I would say smart move for having all of the services they provide here! I remember trying a lot of the items on the menu here and nothing came to my liking besides the minced pork in the pot bowl. (it was sort of like bi bim bop, but a Chinese style)
The karaoke songs are very up to date, and as much customers they have here, i would have to give props to the servers for being so friendly still. Great place to hang out and have a good time with friends!

To be honest, this place deserves a two. Service is okay, food is okay, overall the place is Meh. This is one of the place where food is food. You eat it because you're super hungry and you know that you could have gone somewhere better, but you didn't. I guess the price is cheap but I wouldn't say it's worth the price for the quality of the food. I've been to this place twice. First time was to order to go and the second time was actually a sit down. The first time I ordered, I had their fried rice and a crepe for dessert. Their fried rice was really tasteless and their crepe was a bit hard. I've had better crepes and I've definitely had much better fried rice. The second time I came, I orders a kimchi bowl. Like I had describe earlier, it was just ..food. Nothing great.

2 stars overall. I definitely had better food than this. If I was starving late at night, I'd much rather get my fix at Yummy Juice cafe or elsewhere.

This review is on behalf of my brother's experience. I felt that potential customers should know about the details entailing his visit last night, since he won't write a review himself.
    1) the service was mediocre
    2) the food was "meh"
    3) unsanitary food services
So, by verbatim, there were three items ordered, and the food took awhile to be served. First item came out and it was "meh." Second item (pan fried noodles) came out and it had a house fly swimming in the sauce! Third item (bubble drink) came out and there was hair inside the drink!
On top of that, a bee was roaming the table.
I found this incredibly disgusting, unsanitary and unprofessional. I would give it zero stars if allowed.

Although their service is a little slow and inconsistent, there servers are still very friendly. Although, they lack basic service skills. I mean They should automatically know to serve water to their tables, but they don't and they should obviously leave a pitcher of water for a table of drunk people. But I believe with time they may learn this ....

Hmm..their food.. where do I start.... Well we ordered a lot because we had a pretty big group of hungry guys...

-Well their Garlic chicken was good. Had plenty of flavor and veggies were cooked to the right consistency (not over cooked and not undercooked) But could have been a bit of a bigger portion for the amount that they charged for the dish.

-Their black pepper beef and beef with vegetables were too similar in taste. They should have used a more different variety in veggies in the beef with vegetable as well as a more distinctive sauce.

-Their calamari was okk.... they could have used a little more breading on their calamari with more black pepper to season it a bit

-Their beef skewers were not good. That should be taken off the menu.

-I forgot the name of the soup we got, but it wasn't that good. Tasted like top ramen. Which I can just make at home if I wanted that.

-The crab meat won tons were good. Can't really mess that one up

-The salt and pepper squid was good. Could use more batter and seasoning though. and cooked just a bit longer to get that right texture.

-there drinks are decent. Nothing out of the ordinary.

-CREPES- LOVE THEM!!! They do an excellent job on the crepes. They even made a little bear on the crepe for me! It was so adorable and creative! I think this is what did it for me! It just melted my heart !!!! I will be coming back for their dessert of all things listed on their menu. This is pretty much the reason why I gave this place a 4-star!

I've been here a couple times already and each time was pretty cool. I will definitely be frequenting here in the future.

Like what other people have said, their pricing is really decent and the rooms are more comfortable. Cheaper and closer for all us compared to Rurulala.

I was looking at their price list and their happy hour is a really good deal. But who the hell is going to karaoke in the middle of the day. Happy hour is from 2-7pm and 7pm-2am is normal pricing:
    $20/hour for small room(4-6people)
    $30/hour for medium(8-10people)
    $45/hour for large(10-20people)
    Not bad right?

Comes out to about less than $8/per person if you were going to karaoke for 2 hours or so. The only thing is they do close pretty early. The mics are wireless which is a plus, and they include disposable covers which is a bigger (sanitary) plus. Their music interface needs some more updated music but its pretty cool. All on a touch screen panel and all the songs feature the real music video. But if you get one of those songs with a huge, long, boring intro... just skip around to the music. Remember it's by-the-hour.

*Make sure you call in to reserve rooms as they book up for the night pretty quick.

The staff here are all really friendly. Smiles everywhere. They really do want you to have fun. The food is great too. You just have to know what to order. Their portions are pretty good. It's pretty much Hong Kong style food. One time we were eating and enjoying our teas and drinks with some noodles and appetizers, while waiting for a room to open up. As soon as one was available they came over to let us know. We were kind of confused as what to do because were mid-eating. Should we finish and then go? Or just leave everything and go now? So then one of the girls came back with two mics and was ready to take us to the room. She then explained to leave everything on the table and they'll take care of everything for us. She put all of our teas into coffee cups for us and brought the food to the room. Pretty dope!

The only thing that sucks is they don't serve sake/soju/liquor or anything. They do have bottled beer though. And they don't allow open cups but they're happy to give you these coffee cups. And of course they don't allow alcohol in the rooms... but they don't mind if you drink in your car har har har. Oh yeah and a couple of the girls that work here, speak mainly chinese so... just be patient and don't take them as being rude.

This place reminds me of a lollicup or tapioca express, but with food. Its at a old building but the decor inside is nice.  Friendly staff.

When we sat down to eat lunch, I looked at the menu and was lost(couldn't decide). They had snacks/appetizers, crepes, soups, asian food, etc. And and you can't forget about the drinks and dessert.

For starters we ended up going with the salt &pepper calamari and hot oil wontons. The calamari wasn't bad. But the wontons looked/smelled good, but was a disappointment. For the entree, I got the egg & ham crepe. Actually wasn't bad. And for dessert, we had the creme brulee(ehh).

Conclusion: nice place, friendly service, a menu with alot to choose from that's decent tasting. And a plus is they're open late. (Gave them an extra star for being open late and a big menu)

But for snacks/drinks I prefer tap express or lollicup

And after I had that amazing review, here's a few notes, though based on separate occasions, contributes to the overall:

-The same girl who gave exceptional service the first time now gave terrible service. She wouldn't split the karaoke hours between 5 people even though I have seen them do it before. I am supposing the guy worker is more competent than the girls in terms of dealing with register issues.

-When asked what the soya bean noodles were, the girl could not at all describe what it was, though said it was delicious and to order it. My friend, not knowing any better, while also wanting meat, agreed. All it really was, was pan fried noodles with onions, bean sprouts, and sesame seeds on it. Was it really that difficult to explain? If you don't know it, just ask the chef.

-I ordered a hot green tea milk tea. They must have forgotten it because when they finally gave it, it was lukewarm/tepid. IT was as if they had just microwaved the drink and then gave it to us. Also, milk tea is 2.75, and then if u add boba it's 3 bucks. Ok, I see where the pricing is. However, my friend and I had milk tea with NO boba, and got charged 2.99. I looked all over the menu and on the receipt to make sure I wasn't just jumping the gun, but it turns out they nickle and dimed us.
I was going to ask them but my friends said to not bother and instead just tip less, so that is what happened.

-We had a large group coming (10 people total), but only 5 showed up early. We told her how we had more coming and she said ok. She then said that we should order now so that we don't back up the kitchen later. We tell her we need some time to decide seeing as how we haven't really looked at the menu yet. No more than a minute later she comes back and asks us to order. Not if we're ready, but to just order now. We're now under pressure from this girl trying to take our order when we haven't even been given adequate time to decide. How am I to choose if you just gave us menus and nearly instantaneously you tell us to order?

My original review should've been 3 stars because they honestly did mediocre with a few nice perks.  But after coming back so many times and just random stuff happening in a negative view. It's just frustrating.

The sad part was that I talked pretty highly of the place as a whole. Now I can just ignore the cafe for the most part and just deal with karaoke.

This place sucks -- I didn't come here for karoake but the food and service straight up failed.

Came here after going to Dovewood Court to look at Christmas lights. It was around 10 pm when we were heading back and I was going to hit up Hoa Viet like I usually do for late night munchies but we drove past Blue Moon and thought why not? Plus, the reviews were pretty good and Hoa Viet is not that great either.

There were 7 of us total. The place had a couple of other people in there besides us. They served desserts (crepes, ice cream, etc), and Chinese dishes. to make it easy, I ordered chow mein with no meat. Everyone else ordered chow fun or some other HK noodle style plate along with desserts. After approximately 45 minutes and everyone's food came out along with desserts, I was still waiting. I politely asked the waitress about my food. She replied, "okay okay okay okay - it's coming out okay? Chow mein right? okay okay okay."

I was in a good mood but after she gave me that many "okay's". It got on my nerves because it seemed like she was trying to blow me off. Who does that? And when we asked for our food again, she responds with the same 15 ok's...

After another 30 minutes, another waitress came by and asked what we ordered because they forgot our food! Seriously?

When my food FINALLY came out, I asked for a to-go box and the waitress responds w ok ok ok ok ok, and never came back with it. My boyfriend got up, went to the counter and got me one.

Everyone thought the food wasn't great. Either too salty, or too bland. As we were leaving, the waitress goes, "Good night, have a nice night, week, or whatever." I'm unsure if she's fobby and doesn't know her English very well or she was trying to be rude, but Needless to say, I think this place sucks!! For sure they need better staff!
