  It's a bit of a dive bar.  The only reason I've been there is to see a band I like.  The owner seems like a cool guy who really loves Led Zepplin.  The beer selection is pretty limited, but it's a full bar.  It's never been too crowded when I've gone but it's not a large place so it easily could become tight quarters.

  Walk into the bathroom of  "The Blue Parrot," and you'll see a set of rules which will pretty much sum up the experience.  It's one rule really: "Shit IN the bowl!"
  
  When someone had to go to the trouble of printing such Jeffersonian wisdom, you better be prepared for anything.  While my time at the Parrot was fairly sedate, I can imagine the chicanery practiced on a semi-regular basis.  
  
  Thursday Night karaoke with semi-annual contests rates the Parrot a place on my Karaoke of Long Island List.

  The food is terrible!!  From basics like a steak to crab cakes.  There was no crab, only fried outside.  It is a shame the food is so bad because the place is fun and the music terrific.  
  
  They also need more than 6 bad wines on their wine list!

  Nice comfortable neighborhood bar.  Not too dark inside and clean.  Decent priced Beer - $3 for most.  Met the owner and a lot of locals.  Real friendly place.  They have a lot of live music on most nights.  Will stop by and check out the music.

  Bar / Live Music.
  
  Remember in high school where you had that one friend who lived basically in his room with nothing but rock paraphernalia on the walls and everything smelled like incense?  This is that place years later only the incense now smells suspiciously like car air freshener...
  
  My sister and I were out and about and since we used to live near here, we decided to pop on and see what it is about.  It is very hard to explain the place as it looks like a cross between a stoner hang out and a topless joint  - but with live music.
  
  There was no music when we went but there is a decent pool table in the back and I'm happy to note, I still suck at the game.
  
  The bartender was fine- and the few people there were friendly enough.  I'd go back on music night to see what it is all about.
  
  Cash only though - so be ready for that.
