As with many of my recent reviews, this was during a road trip to and from Georgia. Â We stopped by here because there aren't many Bob Evans around Chicago. Â Our server was very nice and I just can't seem to remember her name. Â Older lady with short hair. I thought it was considerate of her to ask if we would like split checks just because most servers don't want to even go through the hassle of separating. Â Food was good and the pumpkin and banana nut breads are amazing! Nice breakfast stop before heading home.
Review Source:I headed to Bob Evans on Sunday night after reading that their Grilled Chicken Breast with Baked Potato and Broccoli was rated one of the 25 healthiest restaurant dishes. Â At just 418 calories for the entire meal I thought I would try it. Â I suppose when you remove all of the sauce, butter, and flavor from food it gets a bit healthier. Â However, there has to be a way to make food low calorie without turning it into a piece of plain dry chicken, dry baked potato, and plain broccoli right? Â Anyway unless you are in the mood for something really bland I recommend that you skip this dish. Â
Also, our we had to flag down our waiter to get our water glasses refilled. Â Overall not a stellar meal. Â However, we've had decent meals there so I'll give them three stars.
Our wait for seating was less than 10 minutes.
I ordered pancakes and sausage.
The pancakes were frigging Huge! Super fluffy and simply amazing. No way I could possibly polish them all off. Â The best pancakes I've had in some time.
When my freind asked for a milkshake. Our waitress politely  suggested a smoothy off the menu or milkshakes from steak n shake  across the street.
Plenty of parking also.
