If I could give this location zero stars, I totally would. This was THE WORST experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Ever.
We had just finished a lovely day of wedding dress shopping. There were 6 of us and we found a table in the bar. We sat down at 3:15 after waiting 20 minutes for the table to be cleaned off. Never you mind that there were 7, yes 7, tween hostesses standing around staring at each other. Wouldn't want to bother you to clean off the table, teenybopper. That's ONLY what you're getting paid for.
We sat down, waited 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken, and honestly, it was all down hill from there. The service was horrendous. We had salads but no silverware for a good half hour. And the list goes on and on.
When our food FINALLY arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that it was still warm. And the taste of the food was the only redeeming factor. Hence, the one star.
After being officially seated for 2 and a half hours, and after our checks had been wrong 2 times, the manager finally came over. She asked us about our "experience" which we gladly told her about, as one of my comrades was keeping tabs of all the flaws. She explained that she was so sorry and had nothing of real value to say, except for that our meals would be "on the house."
Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone, especially if you're in a hurry. Unless, of course, you want to ruin a perfectly lovely day.
We came in ahh - round about an hour and a half before closing. Â It was a cold and rainy night...wait doesn't all horror novels start like that? Â Yup, indeed they do. Â Servers were seldom to be found. Â We weren't the only customers in the joint, so we turn to a boisterous party next to us, and ask them, "have you guys had any trouble with service?" And yup they shared our summation of the "where have all the servers gone...long time for refills." :p lol. Â
I wouldn't have minded so much, but this was a special night for my daughter and me. Â And we had specifically chosen Olive Garden for the warm soup and usually stellar service. Â It was a little pricey for some soup and salad, sure, but we were usually left feeling it was worth it. Â
I got up to pay the check and discovered most of the servers were congregated in the back counting their booty for the evening, and we weren't the only ones left in the restaurant. I was completely shocked. Â
Last time I spend $42 bucks and some change on soup and salad with dessert we were ultimately guilted into taking home, by a peaking bus boy who kept eyeing when to clean off our table. Â Wow. Â
Although I think it was extremely funny how the waitress asked my daughter and I if we'd like to try a sample of the house wine...before finding out our ages...since she's a mere 14...and well with that I'd be driving. Â Hmmm...perhaps Olive Garden might want to rethink that policy, at least in this region??
My visit to Olive Garden on Saturday evening started out fabulous and gradually went downhill as the evening progressed. Â My boyfriend and I were seated immediately. Â Upon being seated our water brought us wine glasses and advised us that they were providing a free sample of wine to all guests of age. Â We both thought the wine was delicious and enjoyed sipping it while we looked over the menu. Â I ordered the five cheese ziti and he ordered the lasagna rolls. Â The waiter brought out breadsticks, soup, and salad. Â They were delicious. Â Then they brought our meals and while there wasn't anything wrong with them they were just okay. Â Frankly both of the meals were overpriced for what was just mediocre Italian food. Â As we ate my boyfriend ran of out water which the waiter noticed and said he would be by with water. Â However as 5 and then 10 minutes passed he didn't bring it. Â Finally another member of the wait staff noticed it and refilled the water. Â Eventually we were done with our meal and sat and sat hoping the waiter would come by so we could as for to go boxes but he did not. Â Once again another staff member noticed that we were just sitting unattended to and came by and asked us if we needed anything. Â We told us that we needed to go boxes and they came back and told us that they had told our waiter. Â We waited again and eventually he came with the boxes and our check. Â Had the service been excellent then perhaps the mediocre food could have been overlooked but it wasn't... and perhaps if the food was amazing the very very slow service could have been ignored but again it wasn't. Â The fact is that I like the salad and the breadsticks at Olive Garden and their food generally hits more than it misses so I'm sure I'll be back but at this particular restaurant on this particular night the main dishes and the service missed which was disappointing.
