Outback Steakhouse

Seductively seasoned and delicately decadent, this Outback will rock your tastebuds.

This restaurant couldn't quite make up for its terrible service with its delicious food.  We walked into a 30 minute wait for two people and got to spend our 30 minutes listening to the hostesses complain to one another about how exasperated they were with the number of people who were in their area.  Upon being seated the waitress took our drink orders and inquired whether we wanted to order an appetizer.  I attempted to order a bowl of chicken tortilla soup but she told me that I was not allowed to order soup until I ordered an entree.  I told her that I would be ordering an entree and she told me that I was still not allowed to order the soup until she came back to take the entree order and that the soup had to be delivered with the entree.  She told us that she would bring us bread.  She then disappeared for more than 15 minutes.  When she returned she had a tray with my drink but not my boyfriend's drink and drinks for a table of 7.  She had also brought bread for the other table but had not brought us bread.  We told her that we were ready to order and she told us that she would not take our order until after the table of 7 had ordered making it clear to us that we were not her priority that evening.  She then left us and proceeded to another table before even going to take the order from the table of 7.  Each interraction that the waitress had with us was short and rude.  Eventally, she came to take our order and I ordered grilled chicken on the barbie with green beans and chicken tortilla soup.  My boyfriend ordered pork tenderloin.  Amazingly, my chicken tortilla soup made it out ahead of my entree and it was spicy and hearty.    When my entree arrived it came with a seasonal vegetable side instead of green beans.  I advised the waiter who delivered the dish that the wrong vegetable had been served and when he went and told the waitress I was able to see her roll her eyes and make a disgusted face.  However, she did come to the table and apologize for the incorrect order then bring the corrected order.  Ultimately both the chicken and the green beans were delicious. However,  I honestly don't know if I'll be back to Outback.  The great food just might not be worth dealing with the terrible service.
