Probably the most "rough" bar in Conshy. Seems to attract the biker, ex vet and unemployed type of crowd. Not really too much else to say about this place. Its your run of the mill dive bar off Hector. Just that its on Hector street should give you the general idea. They have a decent selection of takeout though if you're REALLY ever in a pinch.
Bottom line; Enter at your own risk.
This place is A-OK, as the rating said. Â I prefer a little nicer place, but for a pub n grub, I guess it isn't so bad. Â I gave it 4 stars, for the service, and the cheap prices they have here, and only for that. Â They needed to grow a pair, and tell the live band that their sound was TOO loud, yes, there is such a thing. Â The music was so loud that you couldn't even hear them singing half the time. Â I'd have much rather had the music more of a backdrop for this place, and enjoyed the camaraderie of my friends that I came with, rather then the blaring of a band who was still living in the 60s and 70s, both in music, and attire. Â They had a decent beer selection, and I did mark on this review "full bar" because I saw a vast amount of bottles, but cannot truly say they have EVERY brand... I didn't eat here either, although the band ordered some food, that looked good, and smelled good... Might go back again on a "non-live band night" and see what it's like...
Review Source:This is definitely one of those hidden hole in the wall kind of places that I will probably hit up once a year during the Conshy Bar Crawl. Â I'll agree that the staff was friendly, but what really was the kicker was that I ordered a rum and coke for my bf and a $2 special PBR for ~$5 total! Â Not only did we get a cheap as dirt deal, but they served the rum and coke in a pint size glass! Â And it was good...
Review Source:I participated in the 3rd Annual Conshy Bar Tour last week. We joined the revelers while the event was in full force and this was the first spot I got to.
Since bar tours involve alcohol over an extended time period, I had to get in the zone. For me, that means Irish car bombs. Our awesome bartenders (Della, and others) furnished drinks in an expedient manner, considering how cramped it was. Bobby Burger's Tavern isn't exactly the smallest place, but if you drop off two bus loads worth of drinkers, it's bound to get intimate and smoky REAL fast. Their Irish car bombs were slightly odd, but good and reasonably priced, at about $5/bomb - unsure if that price was negotiated for the tour, regular, or for happy hours.
Good crowd, friendly staff (I remember tipping well, or at least I hope I did), worth a visit! I will return to try their wings.
