Food is very good and reasonably priced. I went with my son and he enjoyed it just as much as I did. The wait staff was pleasant and courteous and I didn't feel rushed at all. I had the chicken, cole slaw, and sweet potato fries and enjoyed all of them. My son had the large macaroni and cheese and thought it was delicious. We definitely found a new place for take out!!!
Review Source:I was in search of a good BBQ place because the area is seriously lacking as far as BBQ. I was really relieved when I found this place. You can't really ask for better BBQ in the northeast. So far I've tried their brisket which was tender, ribs which were moist and fall off the bone good, and their rotisserie chicken which was moist and flavorful and surprisingly good for "just chicken" and could hold its own next to anything else on the menu.
The atmosphere is good, but a little small and I wish they served beer, but that's OK since its BYOB. I either bring a 6-pack of homebrew or there's a place you can buy beer from 2 doors down.
The thing that separates a great BBQ joint from an average BBQ place is the quality of the sides. Most BBQ places can serve good ribs, brisket and whatnot, but some of those same places will serve soggy coleslaw, dry cornbread, and bland baked beans. Barbacoa is not one of those places. All of the sides are delicious, especially the mac and cheese, although I'll admit the coleslaw could be slightly better. One time I went they had a weekly special of chili. The friendly staff let me substitute the chili as a side rather than buy a full dinner size serving. Anyway, the chili was some of THE BEST chili I've ever had and was as good as anything else on the menu. Hopefully they make it a permanent item on the menu.
