Boca

CLOSED!  Now it's some wrap and roll place.  Bummer.

Boca Mocha has since rebranded itself as "Boca Tacos and Tequila." I can't speak to the tequila part of this (I only saw a couple of bottles and nothing advertised anywhere about any tequila drinks, but they're still kind of transitioning it seems), but our food was pretty great and the service was better than before. I had the battered avocado taco and the smoked chicken taco which were both delicious. The avocado was fried in a tempura batter and there was a really good, fresh salsa on top which was a nice balance for something fried. The smoked chicken was diced up pretty finely and had good flavor. I would rather it be shredded but that's just a personal preference. On the side I had the grilled corn with jalapeno honey butter. My corn came out kind of room temp/cool so it wasn't very good for melting the butter but it tasted really good so I hardly cared. That butter is awesome. I want to try all of the other tacos so we will definitely be back!

The service was exhausting.  Wait, wait, wait.  They take your orders on iPads, which sounds cool.  In reality, they don't know how to work them and it slows things down and makes mistakes.  

As for the coffee, I got the Boca Mocha, which I found to be so thick and chocolatey I had to pour half my glass of water in it just to drink it.  Way too thick!  

For lunch I got the bruschetta which was basically four slices of French bread with a slice of mozzarella and basil on each one.  It was awkward to eat and not very good.

On the plus side, the decor is cool and they have swanky green high chairs.  It's not worth the wait, though, especially if you have a kid!
