Not a fan, I have eaten here twice and neither time impressed me. First time I had pulled pork and brisket. Both were dry and wayyyyyy over done, I consider myself a BBQ guy and they just completely missed on this.
Second time I had the hillbilly hash... Another miss. The cheese was plastic and the other ingredients were below par.
Also my fiancé got sick shortly after we left, probably due to the greasiest sweet potatoes I have ever seen.
Gave this place 2 chances and I won't be going back.
Been there a couple of times for happy hour but never ate there. We split the meat platter which has a 4 meats on it. It was so much food for 2 people. Our son got the Bonfire buyer with the fried egg. It was awesome. The sides of corn and dirty potatoes were excellent. We will be going back soon.
Review Source:I'm a local resident of Oviedo. The Bonfires location had gone through what seems like a hundred previous owners selling Bar-B-Que. Each time a new owner took over I faithfully gave it my best shot only to be seriously disappointing each time. Â So when the current owners took over, remodeled, and changed the name, I took a deep breath and said to myself, "one more time". Â My expectations could not have been lower. Then something magical occurred. Â This new place, complete with a new indoor/outdoor bar, addition of new giant flat screen TV's, and a wait staff that looks suspiciously similar to the girls of Hooters, just blew me away. Â To say Bonfires a bar-B-Que take on Hooters, is to do this place a serious disservice. Â The BEST thing about Bonfires is the Bar-B-Que!! Â The food is among the best bar-B-Que I have had, including many business trips to places like Texas. Â And the prices are reasonable too. Â The atmosphere and newly renovated location is merely icing on the cake. Â I have been back many times since and it has become my favorite casual, affordable dining place in Oviedo.
