The Bourbon Room

I think this is actually more of a 3 and a half stars. My wife and I just moved to Fredericksburg from the San Francisco Bay Area, and we thought for sure we were moving to po-dunk. But, this town actually has more going on than we thought. After a quick internet search we found the Bourbon Room, which appeared to be the local gay bar. We went in the first week we were in town on a Saturday. They were super welcoming!! They are short on decor, but long on community. It's not necessarily a gay bar, but more so an inclusive bar. There's definitely family in the house. It was kinda sparse, but still fun. I'm interested to see what it's like on a Saturday when the college kids are around. We ordered some apps to go, and they were really good! So food is a plus, and drinks were pretty cheap. If you're looking for a local low-key sorta evening, definitely try it out. We're planning to stop in tonight, so I may update.

It's an alright location, but can dig it. Go pride bars in the burg!

Actually, I'm not even sure if this location is still open.  Was in old town on a Wednesday night, and the place was dark with no signage...
