What a cesspool.  Interior resembles something from the movie Hostel.  Open wiring, bad lighting, damp floors.  The place was a distinct demographic, and I suppose its nice for them to have such a place.  Most people are not in this demographic.  This is not a trendy, 'happening' dump.  Just a dump.  There were people eating food.  The place did not smell like food.  It smelled like cigarettes.
Oh boy, $2 beer.  Buy a six pack at a liquor store and drive back home.

How the hell does this rank as a 4.5 star establishment?! I stepped foot inside this place last night and walked right out. It smelled like a toilet.

Coldest bottled beer in Torrance. You can "knee walk" out of the Brach Office for under 20 bucks!

Super low key, dirt cheap, neighborhood dive bar with no flashy sign to show who they are! Decent place for cheap liquor and a chill time. My mistake for the first time I arrived here...I asked a friend, they got FAT TIRE? He replied, "Naw, they ain't that fancy." They do however got your typical...Coors, Bud, Miller and Coronas. I must say, check it out, just don't go in with any high expectations. Cheers!

Oh, Branch Office. What a place! The 2 female bartenders in there in the evenings are hilarious. Great gals to spark up a conversation with. This is a local spot no doubt. A true dive. The bartender even warned us that if we sat at the bar in a "regulars" seat they may get miffed! They have always poured me a strong drink here. I've met some characters at this place, all of them nice. One guy even played pool with the end of a broom stick, ha!

The casual passerby may think that this place is a run down abandoned building that has long since seen the day of a paying customer. But as they say looks can be deceiving! This place is a true dive bar in every sense! Heavy handed stiff ass cheap drinks, an old ass jukebox full of has been tracks, with outdated dilapidated interior to match. The bathroom is one of the rankest smelling shitholes I've ever had the displeasure of relieving my bladder in. Hold it in if you can! But hey it's a dive bar! That being said Many a local stumble in and out on a regular basis. Every so often they even serve up some decent food to soak all the booze up. Not the kinda place you wanna romance a lady or bring a business client to(unless their down with an establishment of this caliber). But if your looking to get straight up hammered on the cheap then the Branch is as fine as any dive bar out there. Just watch out for Torrance Police when leaving cuz harrassing people is their lame ass specialty.

2 dollar beers, with 1 dollar stools, this is a shithole uuberdive, but its honest, just a cheap watering hole...and nothing more

Went to this bar for drinks BUT holy smokes!! THE best tacos and burritos I've had in a while.  Not one of those crappy "americanized" versions either.  These were authentic and very fresh and high quality tasty snacks.  I would just go back for the food! You can count on that!

Dive bar, prototype of Moe's Tavern on the Simpsons.  Even the windows look the same.  That being said:
Yes, it looks closed from the outside. It's not.
Yes, the drinks are cheap and they are strong, great pours.
Yes, there are locals.  They are friendly!
Yes, it's in Torrance. Beware of Torrance PD on Torrance Blvd when you come here.
Park on the side street by the railroad tracks or on Torrance Blvd.

There is not much to dislike at Branch Office if you like dive bars... I do.  If you want something bright shiny and new, it's not here.  If you want interesting locals, cheap drinks and a cool, interesting worn-beauty, ugly-sexy kind of atmosphere... this is it.  The only non worn-beauty in this place is the women's bathroom.... oh the horrah.!  Needs help.
Overall, fun, I've tried it a few times and definitely would come back.

Super divey.  Some of the older local pervs harass my girlfriend when she goes.  Got a small TV, jukebox, and pool table.

$2 beers all the time and $3 well drinks if you aren't all picky with your hard alcohol.

SUPER STIFF.  They also give you free soda or whatever to sober up after   .

Virginia the bartender is super cool.

Ain't no place to throw a bday party, but if you want a cheap drink or two check this place out!

I hear they also have Mexican food on the weekends thats DANK.

This place is awesome. It is a very low-key bar and often times looks closed because the sign isn't lit up. The vibe is dive bar but not with douche bags. The locals are all really chill and everyone seems to know everyone else. The more you go the more you become apart of the family they have formed here. It is a really cool thing! They say there is sometimes drama that goes down but the few times I have been there I haven't seen anything. It has always been a really chill, friendly vibe. Also the owner is hilarious. You'll have to go to experience it yourself but honestly you won't regret going. It's always a good time at Branch Office!

*NOTE: it is cash only but they have an ATM inside the bar. It charges $2.50 so try to bring cash before going.

I am moving the Branch Office up one more star because of the food.  I love the burritos, the tacos, and the quesadillas.  The guy who comes into cook is fast, friendly, cheap, and knows what he is doing.

That being said, I have witnessed the following since my last update:
    1. A fight between a bartender and a patron. (Bartender started it)
    2. A guy coming up to me explaining that the bullet wound he has in his leg was because he was trying to defend his cousin who was "minding his own business."  (nice enough guy)
    3. A guy get so angry that he lost in ping pong that he tore his shirt off
    4. Two fights

I love this place.  It is never short on entertainment, but it is not for the faint of heart.  Do some push-ups before you come.

This is the truest definition of a 'dive bar.'  I used to live within walking / stumbling distance, so needless to say, I stumbled home many a nights...
There are a fair share of regulars here, but also a good mix of people.  Not much of a 'top shelf' selection here, but there's enough of a selection to get the job done...  If you give this place a fair shake, I believe you you'll be pleasantly surprised.
*This place place is cash only, and has an atm on site, but it is sometimes out of order.

My friend suggested we go here for a pre-dinner drink. Hard to see, i drove past it a lot and never knew it was there. we walked in and it was a small little bar, but actually really fun. The bartender was cool and easy going. The happy hour beers were like $3, love it! Not much to really say about this place but it was a cool little dive bar.

THE best dive bar in Southbay. Where else can you get $2 beers all the time!

Still five stars!  Still the place where I can take my delicate co-workers and they end up having a great time. Still the place where you can get way buzzed for $5 but you can kind of trust that you won't be taken advantage of.  Yeah, I am in love with this bar!

Thanks to the cool locals and the cool bartenders.  Too bad real estate nearby is hard to find. Seriously, I want to move here!

    T, where are you?  OXO

Great dive bar with very stiff pours.  Free pool and ping pong (table is resting on top of a bar pool table) and a very chill local crowd.  Havent tried the food yet.

Yes this place hits the spot when referring to Dive Bars !  No light  advertising that shows they are open, (hrs 6am-2am daily) The phone number is unlisted and if I were to share that I would be cast away as a shameless traitor - U must become "part of the crowd" and maybe U will get it. But if the owner is there don't dare to ask !!! Smoking area is outside and hope it isn't raining cause your gonna get wet. I wont tell the other secret because that is what makes it oh so special to us Branchers.  I have been a "CLUB MEMBER"  at the "BO"  for about 13 years so therefore I am my own worst enemy :) For those of us who have grown up there with many of the Patrons we are like a family  this place really is considered "OUR CLUBHOUSE" ... no drink specials like those "Glitzy Competitors" but trust me the price is right  !

What is unique at the BO ? Hmmm  For sure it's the ambivalence,  lowest best prices in the Southbay, Most beers are $2 & Cocktails $3.50-$5 (at the very most.) Generous pours and The COLDEST beer in town !   Bartenders are super friendly & fun.  Ani, Omar, Roy, Janet & Bruce are the daytime bartenders, evening bartenders are Virgina, Resa and Andy.  My personal favorite is Virginia's evening shift Wednesday-Saturday. The old school stained glass window is also unique and give's it a pub type atmosphere.  The wood paneling behind the bar has mysterious faces sketched into the knot holes, I often wonder if there is an Urban Legend behind them.

The patrons ... the older  DAYTIME patrons like to sit at the corner of the bar.  The afternoon and evening crowd tends to be of the younger set and more fun loving a little crazy at times, who enjoy playing pool, ping pong, pinball and singing and dancing to the old school juke box. They also they have an ATM Machine - No Credit Cards or Checks are Accepted.

Food service is available evenings from 5pm - 10pm authentic Mexican Food by Sauel nightly with the exception of Wednesday is steak night, for $13.99 you get a huge Rib Eye Steak, Baked potato, veggie and a salad. Cheeseburger Saturday  by Jose starts at 9am and Sunday morning breakfast is also served.

Several TV's surround the bar, where you can find most any live sporting event. Warning do not try and play music during sports !!!

Come and check out this Diamond in the rough ... you will be pleasantly surprised and feel very  welcome.  The Branch Office is the best little known bar in Torrance.

Often referred to as the place where other bartenders come to drink !  Need I say More.  See ya there and tell them Cali sent you ;)

Definitely a true dive bar. It's a great little bar in Torrance to drink, shoot pool, and chill with friends. By the way, the drinks are CHEAP. You also have no idea there was a bar here unless someone told you about it. This is definitely a hole in the wall. Pretty much a place exclusive to local patrons.

This place is so sketchy I love it.

First of all there no lights, sign or anything in visual sight indicating that this is a bar, let alone a place that's open.

Secondly, I didn't get carded-WOO HOO! But I am of legal drinking age so boo no fun.

Third: the place is just weird. It has big screens, scratcher machines yes I said scratcher machines, hey when you get the itch to buy a lotto ticket you can here! The restrooms (at least the ladies) didn't actually have any towels or hand soap, just a roll and some dishwashing soap near the window.  I guess that counts? But it was just pretty ghetto--hence why i love it.

Oh they have a microwave out in the bar near the one fold out table in the middle of the room.  I heard drinks are hellllla cheap, plus there's ample parking and it's near Torrance HS, WHERE THEY FILMED BUFFY! Weee.

Expect a drunken crowd, boys too shy to talk to you, some sketchiness oh and lets not forget: hazel k.'s friend's making out in the restroom.

When one thinks dive bar they think scary regulars, small and crowded.  Well The Branch Office is none of the above.  Besides having a snazzy name, The Branch Office is well lit inside.  They have about a 10 stool bar, big screen tv, and 2 pool tables and darts.

My favorite jewel in this hidden gem is the random table in the middle of the room with a red tablecloth.  I was nervous going here for the first time since well... it is called the branch office and has no lit sign but going inside I realized I've been to scarier places with creepier creepers.

Mostly Mexicans, I went on a Saturday but definitely a place to hit up if you don't wanna bar with karaoke or a dance floor and are tired of the Lazy Dog, BJ, Lucky Strike scene at Del Amo Mall. A casual lounge/dive bar if you will.
