Brickyard Tavern

First time ever here and just stopped by to check it out and have a brew. There are two separate areas with different feels about them. The inside is an old school York dive bar - smoky, dark, w/friendly patrons. A band was setting up and they had the Braves &.Giants bball game one. Dang those giants, thye can't score a lick. The outside is a newer, open wood patio w/ a small bar and lots of umbrella'd seating. Patrons were a more upscale mixture of older and young and dressed like they were going out afterwards,.. like me. Had a $1.50 draft. Heard from a gal at Granfalloons later on that this place has the best wings in town. Would revisit for the wings, patio and ambiance.

Great little local bar. Just sold house and will be sad its not right around the corner. Food is great and cheap with outside deck and drink specials. Burgers are cooked on grill outside during warm months and there are several tasty items on the menu. Not really an entree kind of bar, so don't expect lobster bisque.

Just tried this bar for the first time this weekend. This is definitely a place I would come back to. I'm not sure this is a bar I would frequent much if it weren't for the deck. The inside is tiny and very smoky, but the deck is spacious and has a good atmosphere. The beer is cheap and it seems like they have some great specials. I went with the $1.25 natty boh cans, which is the special on Saturday. You got to love that! I tried some of the homemade old bay chips which were great. The burgers here are very good and filling. They really don't have much in the way of entrées here. Mostly appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers. The food was good and reasonably priced though. I'll be back!
