Brown Jug Inn

Not surprising this place was shut down. I just didn't see it coming that fast, but owner's decided to pull the plug on it because they just couldn't seem to clean this bar up.

The place is small, but it works. I've only been here twice the crowd is sooo mixed and sketchy-which makes it interesting, come with good friends and get to know summit-which is a character with in itself. I went with two girlfriends of my for the 1st time in July-the bartender was sooo friendly and helpful-they have a baby side yard where you can play bags. NO LOCK on the girls washroom-not kewl at all...id have to say it gives off a sum what rock/punk vibe BUT BUt they have their fair share of  ghetto thuggys (given the neighborhood)...ill be back but im not driving

There's something about community piss-poor dive bars that I am scared but love.

Driving past this place after angering the BurritoGods, piqued my interest. Maybe it was the door that was open but looking like it was gonna fall off its' hinges. Or the only light coming from the inside was the florescent light behind the bar. Or the overall exterior complete with a handmade sign?

Walked in here on Thursday night and thought I would grab a quickie. I The regulars, apparently, were here. All three of them. And one of em was a trucker, as made evident by his semi-cab parked outside and the gruff exterior- he just drove from Vancouver to Denver,back, then to here and he's gonna be back on the road to Seattle.

The bar stools are getting broken in. Or maybe I sat it in the newest one because there was cushioning. Always a bad sign for a bar. As always when I check out a new watering hole, I ordered the gin&tonic. By the time I got my money out it was in my hand. Again, only three regulars there so I am not THAT surprised about the service. The drink was moderate, too much ice and not enough gin but that's a repeating trend elsewhere as well. Ordered High Life lights the rest of the night and it wasn't bad. Heard stories about the trucker lifestyle and the impressive list of roadkill he seen that would end up at WoJo's.

I busted out a twenty on accident and decided to buy the 3 guys a drink. They nodded and raised and I did the same and then they motioned me over. We talked and talked. Random things but mostly on trucking or the White Sox.

This place can give you the creeps but give it a shot, it's got character and cheapish drinks- 30 bucks and I felt great. Just watch out for the bastards that enforce the stupid 25mph.
