Wings were great. Â Probably the best I've had in a long time - and I eat a LOT of wings! Â This was my first time there, and if you are a wing eater you know that they can be either very good or very bad. Â
I tried the traditional (with Bone) with seasonings and hot sauce on the side. Â I do the sauce on the side so if things get too hot, I can just eat the wings. Â But in this case, the seasonings do have a kick. Â By the end of the basket (ate 10 of the 12 I ordered) things were on a controlled burn. Â My associate had the boneless wings which he enjoyed. Â All white meat. Â They are NOT chicken nuggets. Â
Highly recommended. Â Will be back! Â I only knocked them down a star to four as we had to wait just a bit for refills. Â And refills on drinks is what's needed when eating hot wings! Â And a trip to Bass Pro right next door and the world is a fine place.
When this location first opened, I would go at least once a week. The level of service, or lack there of, coupled with the quality of the food has caused me to refrain from going.
Last night I went there for "Happy Hour" with friends. The only food specials included onion rings, fried pickles, jalapeno poppers and a couple of other apps of which no one was interested. Even TGI Friday's offer $5 wings for HH. The only HH drink special was $1 off canned beers. Who drinks canned beers? The service was absolutely horrible. Bess, our waitress had no sense of urgency and seemed bothered whenever we wanted to order food or drinks. She didn't offer us any blue cheese or ranch dressing. She didn't provide us with silverware either. Because she would wonder off for long periods of time, I was forced to eat my boneless wings with my hands since they get hard when cold.
I've had several experiences such as this which has resulted in me going there only to purchase bottles of their Mango Habanero or Blazing sauce to put on my homemade wings. They are almost always out of these two sauces so I always call before I go. Since they always ask if I've ever had these sauces as a precaution to the level of spice, I don't think that many people come in to purchase them. Therefore, I think that whomever does the ordering simply needs to do a better job.
