This is probably the smallest B-Dubs in the Dayton area. Â It's really more of a bar than a restaurant. Â I've been here many times over the last 10 years. Â The food, drinks, and service are pretty solid. Â I have 2 complaints about this location:
1) The crowd is too young. Â I'm not talking about college kids. Â Since It's practically on UD's campus, there will naturally be college students around. Â I'm talking about grade school and high school kids. Â I frequently see groups of them unchaperoned here. Â Children don't belong in a bar. Â Period.
2) The men's and women's restrooms only have one stall each. Â That is not nearly enough to accomodate the crowds here, especially on weekend nights when it's PACKED. Â Standing in line for 10 minutes to use the restroom is just silly. Â
Otherwise, this is a decent B-dubs. Â I'm sure I'll be back the next time I'm in town.
Wings are always small here. For food, I'm rating 2 stars. Second star given because the potato wedges with cheese are always made perfectly.
When this place turns into a bar late at night, this is one of my favorites! Make sure to order the Screamers. VERY crowded, but the bartenders trty to get through the crowd of people as fast as possible. UD could really use another place just like this to help thin out the crowd.
not a negative experience, just a strongly mediocre one.
+1 for location. Â UD brown street.
-1 for no wait staff.
-1 for being asked to leave a tip after ordering. Â refer to my previous point. Â i'll tip the folks who bus my table, but i won't tip the cashier for ringing me up right after i walked in.
+0 for indifferent, detached staff.
+0 for typical BW3 fare. Â (prices are always higher than they need be.)
-1 for lack of seating. Â this location isn't real big.
+0 for too many TV's. Â not what i was after today.
+1 for an outdoor patio area with overhand.
if i weren't interested in the wings, i wouldn't bother. Â if you can put up with some of the inconveniences (for the same price), then this location will be just fine. Â otherwise, try another location with more room to move around, quieter, better atmosphere, and wait staff.
This is a good place to hang out alone or in a group until about 9pm when UD is in session. After 9 the place turns into a non-ghetto-fabulous college toolbox. Â I used to come here when I was hoteling at the Marriott nearby; the staff was friendly, and there was always some folks to chit chat sports or such at the bar with. Â I wouldn't come here to pick up chicks, though.
Food is typical BWW.
Beer of the month is always a good deal ($3 for a 22oz something or other), and there is happy hour, but I can never tell when that starts and ends, because if I'm there in the mid-afternoon, I generally got there at noon and left at 11pm. Â Always look at all the taps - sometimes they have some crafty beers like Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat for $4 or $5 a 22oz. Woot!
You should note that this BWW is SMALL and not a typical BWW. Â It is NOT family friendly, and not a good place to bring your little league team after they play tee ball. Â
Staff is great. They've never kicked me out when they probably should have.
My friend and I were really hungry, so we decided to order take out from Buffalo Wild Wings, as the name may suggest, you are expected to order chicken wings or chicken tenders with something deep fried to go with. We got the chicken tenders, the naked tenders, mushrooms and potatoes with cheese. Everything was indulgently good, greasy, fatty, and ideal comfort food all around.
The cashier was this blonde bimbette thought, who couldn't get my order right the first two times, and after taking our order, she couldn't help ogling at my friend (I wouldn't blame her though, he's a cutie). I am also pretty sure I was the only Indian she'd seen all week if not month. This is a large restaurant with a large bar area, and the whole place is lined with several big screen televisions, which makes it an excellent place to watch lots of sports with friends and family over food and beer.
