This is by far one of only 2 bdubs I'll go to in Louisville. Normally the food and service is fantastic, although the music is too loud sometimes. I wish they put some closed caption on the tv's. Tonight I came in and ordered the same thing I always do and it came out quickly. The wedges were good, but I got to the boneless wings, not so good. The cool doused the top of them in chipotle dry rub and sent them out. I normally get these and Im fine, there was so much rub that even covered in ranch it burned. I told the waitress and she took them back with 4 minutes I had "new" ones. I opened the to go box thinking there was a misunderstanding, I'm 99% sure they just threw them back in the fryer because you can't make new ones in 4 minutes and you could see the fresh oil. Disappointing and I'll be making a further trip if I feel the need to eat bdubs again.
Review Source:I've had a craving for some wings lately, so BW3 seems like a natural choice for this wing aficionado.
I ordered some naked wings with a few sauces on the side in order to try more sauces. Â Those wings could not be more naked. Â They have not been marinated or coated with flour. Â They are simply tossed in the fryer and then tossed in the sauce if you choose so. Â Since there is no batter or flour coating, the wings do not hold on to the sauces very well. Â And if you do not dip them in the sauce, there is no flavor what so ever. Â And they were a bit dry. Â
Among the sauces I tried, the Mango Habanero was the most memorable. Â "Damn, that was spicy!" was the response from both hubby and I. Â Tread lightly with this one, folks! Â When it comes to spice level, not a whole lot of things scare me, but this will be one of them. Â I had to use my fork to do the "dip and smear" on the wings with this sauce. Â I did enjoy its sweet spicy heat, though.
Atmosphere...blah, blah, blah, lots of TVs and beer. Â Service was prompt and friendly.
This is the closest BW3 to the house so of course we go there frequently. Until the other night we had nothing but good experiences, then we met the manager Mark. We found a table for the game in the bar area, open seating, about an hour before the game. We went early to make sure we had a table. We had two friends coming who got off work  after the game started, so we had two seats for them. The manager tried to sit the 2 seats as we were sitting down. This was the first time we told him no we had people coming. After the game started, he tried to sit the 2 seats again, and again we told him we have people coming. Then ten minutes later he tried to sit the seats again, saying it was only fair and he would have to sit the seats. Not sure what the exact rules are for bar seating, but pretty sure if you get there early for a table the table is yours. It's not our fault someone didn't think ahead and decided to try and show up after the game started to try and get a seat. I would never try to get a seat in the middle of a big game, seems kind of pointless as the place was packed an hour before the game. Our 2 friends did show up right after his third attempt to be "fair" so it turned out ok, but Mark was annoying...no he was just flat out rude. Not sure why everyone thinks that "fair" means making things better for people not planning ahead, but Mark sure seems to think so.
Review Source:I love the food at BW3. Â I usually go to this one or the one in Middletown. Â Went here with the family on Monday night. Â The food was consistently good like always. Â Had a little problem with the service. Â It took a VERY long time and the place was not crowded enough for it to take as long as it did. Â Would have given four stars if it was faster. Â But I will be going back, I always do.
Review Source:I was not impressed with this particular BW3. Â We were in for a fairly early dinner on Saturday - so the restaurant wasn't very crowded and a bunch of staff were loitering about waiting for the evening rush.
Despite this, our service was pretty lame. Â We were waiting about 15 minutes for someone to even come greet us and take our drink order. Â Finally, one of my companions had to go back up to the host and remind them we were there before they sent anyone over.
All we ordered was a basket of wings and a sandwich, but our food still wasn't brought out together. Â (They weren't trying to coordinate a party of 8 or anything - it was just 2 things)
The server was pretty good about staying on top of beer refills, but my water was never refilled.
Since we have about 9 more B-Dubs in town - not to mention all of the fine local establishments who know their way around a hot wing - I wouldn't bother going back.
This location is slipping. We used to go as much as 3 times a week. Lately, the wings have been served undercooked (once I bit into a rubbery raw wing!!!) and virtually sauceless. Order "extra crispy" to get them cooked the way they should be and "wet" to make sure there's sauce on them. The Springhurst location does a better job.
