This review is for the MAN BEER because it is delicious and deserves it's own page on Yelp. Hoppy delight!
I'll add a bit about the decor I suppose....COZY. In winter, I would come here everyday. It feels like my Grandpa's rustic cabin -- complete with fireplace and shelves of scotch.
Didn't try the food because my beer was enough to fill me up but the menu looks decent. Warm, comfort food that once again screams winter to me. Not sure if I would love this place as much in the summer now that I mention it but it is truly winter pub perfection.
Good beer, mediocre food, friendly but busy staff, crowded and noisy.
Hubby and I came here on a weeknight for dinner recently when a friend was in town. Â We had been wanting to try the place for a while but hadn't realized it was so close to home. Â The parking kind of sucked, very limited parking lot. Â We were seated right away but the place seemed to fill very quickly after we sat down which was around 5. Â There were a couple of different rooms, we were in the front room. Â I had a burger, which was okay. Â Our friend had fish tacos, which were okay. Â Whatever my husband had was also okay. Â The beers were pretty good, I really liked the Man beer which is their IPA. Â (I kept getting corrected by the waitress when I mentioned IPA - you mean the MAN BEER?) Â My husband had a stout that was also very tasty. Â As the crowd increased, the noise level increased accordingly. Â It was very loud by the time we maneuvered through the crowd at the door to leave. Â Our waitress was good for the most part, super friendly, but then at the end we kind of sat around for 15-20 minutes waiting for her to bring the check, then she brought the wrong check, then we waited forever for her to pick up our credit card. Â Anyway we would go back to grab a beer, and the brunch sounds good so I will give that a chance. Â But only because it is close to home - I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
