I hosted my husband's 30th birthday here. I reserved the room and ordered party platters. The room was a great size for 20 people and we had our own waitress. The food and service was good. They reserved two pool tables for us as well. The bar area is a good size and there was a good crowd on a saturday nighy but not overly crowded. Overall a great night! Definitely recommend and will be back in the near future!

Good beer selection. Excellent pizza. Impeccable service. I'll be back.

The only negative is that as the night progresses, it transitions from restaurant to bar and the place gets LOUD.

It's a good place at the early bird times. Sure I go in way too early for a brew, but you know. Hard day at work. Their foods need a bit of flavor. Maybe some better menu choices, but some of which is easy to remember. I generally use these keywords:
- Bacon Cheeseburger
- Veggie Salad
- T-Bone Steak

Well I have been here a few times and have liked, not loved the food but it is a nice change of place and the acoustics are good which we really appreciate. However, I am very annoyed at this time as I called the place at 930 pm and inquired re age limit to play pool and was told that anyone could play. When I specifically asked "so if two 18 year olds come there, there will not be a problem?" and was emphatically told "no problem...they are absolutely welcome". Well, that was not the case at all...they were turned away and told, "after 9 pm, you must be 21" a waste of their time and I am upset that we were misinformed.

The service and food here is awesome, our server was attentive and knowledgeable, the mixed drinks were not water down and the food was very good, I recommend the calamari for an appetizer, Seafood platter and the house steak with sweet potato fires. This is an adult environment so leave the kids at home.

I had been here on a previous trip and enjoyed my experience. On my first trip, I sat at the bar. The food was typical pub food but the bartender was good and beer selection was varied.

Tonight, I returned wanting to do a little personal celebration because of a big sales order I closed today. I arrived with the intention of sitting at the bar only to find it packed so I went to the dining area. My server arrived to take my beer order. I had been looking at the beer menu trying to find a good lager which I prefer but most of the menu selections were ales. I told her I was looking for a lager and she admitted she was new but made a suggestion. To give her a break, I went with it. She brought it to me and told me I was lucky because it was the last glass. It wasn't bad but wasn't what I would consider a true lager. It was Italian night and the food was mediocre but I really came here for the beer so I wasn't too upset. When I ordered my second beer, my server said she had asked her manager for a recommendation for a lager. She to me about two choices of which the first was "fruity" and I don't think I have ever had a fruity lager so I went for the second. Big mistake! I was brought a very large bottle in a marble wine cooler and a small brandy sniffer glass. To say the least, this was not anywhere near a lager. Because my server was young & new, I decided not to make a scene over it. She was good and attentive but obviously her manager doesn't know the first thing about beer which is ironic at an ale house. To make my experience even better, when I got the bill this bottle was $16!!! This will be my 2nd and last trip to the Bungalow.

Its pretty good here. If you come here to have some drinks and nachos its a good place to be. Sadly we ordered the calamari and it was so horrible we sent it back. Keep in mind that was the first time in years i've sent something back to a kitchen. It was literally undercooked tiny calamaris with pieces of soggy onions in there as filler (obviously to save money and beef up the portion size). B- Alehouse.

This is my 2nd visit to Bungalow Alehouse. Came today on a whim. It's a very nice spot with plenty of space inside, lots of parking, and POOL TABLES! Grabbed a bar stool and was greeted by Jeni. In one word: AWESOME. Gave me the rundown on the day and was what I like in bartenders: courteous, engaging, timely, and basically KNEW HER ISH!! I ordered wings with the house sauce which were pretty decent. Great happy hour beer specials. I had 2 Stellas@ $3/ peer and 2 Arrogant Bastards( same price) for 12 ounces. I'll come back for happy hour. I kinda like this place.

I love Bungalows!!! I can't believe I've never done a review on my spot. My first experience was pretty good and I would say I would have given it a 3.5 from that visit. When I started going on a regular basis with the girls from work it got even better. I've never gotten poor service and my drinks have always been on point. I prefer Jason to wait on me at the bar. He remembers his clientele and always gets your drink and food orders right. I love the fish tacos and wings andouille sausage and Philly cheesesteak. My boyfriend prefers the burger and the Greek turkey burger. Service is fast and efficient in the bar no matter who you get. It's a local watering hole without being run down like some spots in Woodbridge. I'm a fan and can't see that changing anytime soon!

Been here several times. Happy hour is great. Food is delish. Beer is cold and many to choose from. Fun and laid back crowd. Our bartender, Artie is awesome. Lots of tvs. About 6 pool tables. Staff is friendly, helpful, personal (always remember you). Service is on time and rarley a long wait. Only down side is they dont show the fights. Great bar but restaurant is family friendly.

When we first tried this place we didn't really know what to expect and when we got here we were really surprised! The bar area is pretty large and separate from the restaurant, which is nice. The menu selection is pretty extensive and the food was really great. To be honest, I don't know why we haven't been back since because we really enjoyed it. The staff was very courteous and we did not wait long for food at all.

So the fiance and I had to wait "up to 4 hours" on getting our dog groomed at PetSmart. So, of all the rated places in the local area, Bungalow's had the best rating. We got there around 3p, and were promptly taken care of. He's a beer guy and LOVED the selection, and I'm a liquor girl who could only come up 'Jameson & Ginger" when asked... no matter, the bartender was ALWAYS on perfect time with our next drink, and we had such a great time! This is a real 'locals' place, but they're so accommodating! We had great convos, great wings, and we will def try to come back, regardless if we take our dog to get groomed. It was just a fun time!!!

I'm only giving this place 2 stars for the Beer & homemade chips.
I've visited this place only twice. The first time I had the stir fry and it was less than good. The second was for a friend's going away party. Our waitress was awesome but a tad bit forgetful. ( she was running the whole back room). I tried the jerk chicken spring rolls and wasn't impressed.

I'll probably go back but only for the beer

When I moved to Virginia and started frequenting this place - I used to LOVE it. Since then, everything I loved went absolutely down-hill.

I really wanted to love Alehouse. But they are consistently inconsistent. Every time I have visited this place in the past 6 months, the menu has been different. In fact, this last time I asked for a newer item I really liked-- Pommes Frittes, and the server looked at me like I was speaking Greek.

A transition is one thing, but right now this place is a dive with an identity problem. They need to figure out what they do right and then do it. Here is a break-down of what Alehouse needs to do before I EVER give this restaurant my business again.

* GET YOUR MENU STRAIGHT - They did this whole menu revamp thing probably 6 months ago, in which they took all the best stuff off the menu that I liked, removed it, and and added more "upscale" food like steaks with pomme frittes, sashimi-grade tuna and other things. It hasn't quite work for them, partially because they consistently mess up the food we order (temperature of meat, sides, etc).

* GET YOUR BEER STRAIGHT- You removed Sam Adams Seasonal from your tap? What is the matter with you?

*MAKE YOUR FOOD RIGHT- A Medium Rare steak has been delivered to me both completely raw, and completely done. The burgers almost always taste like carbon, and no matter how you order it, you can bet it will be fried to a crisp and dried out. I've also experienced very fishy salmon, old, stale fries and nasty sauces.

...But I can forgive most of these things if the service is good. However, this doesn't apply to the Alehouse because they need to....

* HIRE SERVERS WHO GIVE A SHIT. The service is slow, complacent, at at times, just plain rude! There are probably two or three really awesome servers there and the rest suck-- including the shift managers.

On my most recent experience, my husband and I were seated at a dark, crappy two-top booth (when there were plenty of nicer tables open) and we were ignored the entire time.

It took 10 minutes to be greeted, 20 to get an appetizer, and a half hour after the server dropped off our food for anyone to check on us. Finally, I asked to speak to a manager about our experience. He clearly didn't give a shit-- he let us sit there for 10 more minutes waiting for a check while he BS'd with a guy a few tables over.

Sorry Alehouse, you've lost my business!

Great place for lunch after shopping at the Woodbridge Mall!

I know they have great deals on lunch for families- like kids eat free certain days and such.

Boyfriend and I went out and we ran into our friends there and ate with them which was really funny.

Kids loved the mac and cheese, and the salad my boyfriend had was really good.

I had the grilled cheese....which was interesting mostly because the cheese wasn't melted all the way through enough.

I think I would go back on a weekend night to play pool and drink a couple brews.

Inside is clean and bright, and they have their own parking lot.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Bungalow's. The food is fabulous, the wait staff is terrific and the happy hour special and daily deals are fantastic. Woodbridge has needed a great sports bar and grill, and I'm so happy it's large enough to accommodate their customers, as it is continually busy there. No need to worry, everyone is great, and you may just meet some new friends. Their "family" style pub tables in the bar section allow for several parties to sit at the same table. Try Bungalow's; you will be happy you did!

Fun place to go to shoot some pulls or to play darts. They are open until 1:30am so there's finally something to do in Woodbridge when you don't want to venture too far. Food comes in large portions and the nachos were good to share amongst all the people in my group. The atmosphere here is much nicer than Hard Times [ http://www.yelp.com/biz/… ] --definitely not as many sketch balls hanging out here.

I didn't really know what to expect, I honestly went in with low expectation assuming it was going to be a rundown spot with nasty carpet, bland bar food, smoke filled, etc. No clue why I thought that, but I was wrong. It was really nice inside and had a good menu. You could show up casual or dressed up after work and fit right in.

The bar area was nice and separate from the dining area and the bar area appeared nice and spacious. Good beer selection. There were families in the dining area and they weren't out of place, though kids would be out of place in the bar area.

I had the burger, it was decent, nothing special. I'd probably get something else next time, they had enough selection and variety that it'd be easy to find something else. The wings were solid - I'll definintely get those next time.

Went for lunch. It's actually a pretty pleasant place. The food is decent and they offer more than standard deep fried bar food. I would have given it the 2 star "A-OK" were it not for a few things including a very nice but inexperienced female server. At one point, she exclaimed that she couldn't believe that one of the guests at our table at her entire meal. Huh? It was a sandwich and fries, not exactly a Roman food feist. The point of dining in your establishment is to consume the food. She also talked over the food.
They had a homemade gumbo that was very good.

This place is great. Been twice and food has been spot on. Service has been great. Love the atmosphere. Had there special last time, it was grilled steak with a tasso gravy, shrimp and grits - hit the spot. They really know what they are doing here.

The food & service were good! I had the pork chops because they ran out of steak...how can you run out of steak???? I specifically went out to eat a steak but I was forced to eat a very well cooked pork chop. My lady had the shrimp quesadilla & she was wondering where the shrimp was. Skimpy shrimpadilla is what it was....I'll give it a try when I'm in the area though

Pros: Good beer selection, great food choices, great atmosphere, pool/darts, handmade deserts, service
Cons: Service could be a touch better, nothing else really worth mentioning, service could be a little better

The Bungalow Alehouse..."Bungalow"..."Alehouse"..."Bale", ok no one calls it Bale, but regardless, whatever you call it, it shouts good times. This is the place for "Usuals", "Happy Hour Goers", and those with a case of the Mondays. Beer, wings, pool tables, dart boards, great food, and excellent service. I've been several times, whether with my wife or a group of friends, we've always had a good time.

Being a Alehouse I will lead with the selection of beer. You've got a good selection of stouts, ales, wheats, and lagers, about 25 different beers. I wouldn't say a lot of them are significantly great and different. Although, my opinion doesn't count because I'm not a huge beer drinker...yeah, I'm that guy.

The food has always been pretty good. They just redid the menu awhile back. Expect your usual bar foods with a little added quality. I'm not sure what it is with Alehouses trying to go above and beyond for food but I like the effort. I'm a big fan of the wings and all of the sauces. I have to give them props for the deserts, all are handmade daily and switch out regularly.

Service has always been pretty good. A group of us have come there 10+ times but sadly they never seem to remember us. I guess that is my own personal standard, if you go more than 5 times and on a schedule, they should remember your name or drink...like Cheers.

Prices aren't that bad, you can get some good deals on drinks and occasionally the food. You have deals throughout the week, ladies night with skinny and well drinks. Wing Wednesdays are great, you can get them half off for 10 wings plus half off on beer flights.

This place has a wide variety of things to do, from pool, darts, and TVs with every sport up on them. There are a few pool tables, 4 I think, I have yet to play but have seen them from the restaurant and they usually seem full. They have 5 dart boards in the bar area but they are never full. The place has TVs throughout the restaurant with a wide variety of sports, and if I was a huge sports fan, I would probably choose to come here over a few other places that offer the same luxury.

Overall a great hangout with friends or even a casual place for a date. Whether you sit in the bar or dining room you'll have good service and a great atmosphere. Not the greatest place to bring kids but you'll feel like a kid with all the fun you'll have. I couldn't give it the full five due to nothing really stands out above and beyond but they make the effort which is what I appreciate.

The Bungalow Alehouse is attractively designed with nice booths, but on the downside the menu is as bland and as unappealing as possible.

For me, what makes me want to go to a restaurant is that it offers something different from other restaurants. However, the menu here is the same old tired stuff. In my party was 5 people. We spent $170. For that much money, I would expect a top notch dinner. I ordered the porkchops. They had very little flavor. One of the people in my party ordered a steak dinner. While the portion was generous, the steak was rather fatty.

I ordered a drink. The server was unfamiliar with it. We looked up the drink receipe on my Iphone. Still got the wrong drink!

Dessert option consists of what is a large bowl of icecream with whip cream.

Menu needs to be seriously upgraded with more flavorful options. The only thing that seemed inspired was the Fried Pickle app that we ordered.

$170 down the toilet if you ask me.

Came here on a Wednesday night thirsty and with a rather large appetite. Took advantage of the prime rib special with baked potato and vegetables and complimented the meal with a Bell's amber ale. I was even able to get the ballgame on one of the many flat screens lining the walls.

This alehouse is an open bar with a loud, meet-market atmosphere. There are multiple flat screens, dart boards and pool tables in the corners - a large bar in the center of the establishment with cozy tables and booths spread throughout the dining area. Despite the bar atmosphere, If you want a family meal, you can still accomplish this as the tables are sectioned off from the bar and gaming area.

My service was fantastic. I was very surprised to get excellent waiter service in an "alehouse" but I can only describe it as such. The waiter was very friendly, articulate with menu items and specials and constantly checked on me throughout the entire time I was seated. My prime rib was cooked to specs and was satisfied with the quality of the food in general.

The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant was well maintained. The manager checked on me between waiter visits and was receptive when I asked to have one of the televisions switched to a baseball game. I think this makes for a great social center for singles around the Potomac Mills / Woodbridge area of Prince William county.

The servers are always really friendly and good about the service. The food is definitely unique in some ways but has always been good and a gut buster size to boot. I like to stop in for a good Heifeweizen (is that spelled correctly?) and try some kind of new food I had not tried before.

They have the billiards, bar, sports bar area and a private dining area. I couldn't find the dang bathroom one night though...a server was nice enough to point me in the right direction.

Additional note: they are a upromise restaurant if you have kids or a school fund. Always an extra couple bucks thrown in that account after we eat there.

The food was delicious, but the service was not. I believe the server was overwhelmed and failed to ask for help. I hope to receive better service during future visits because I do plan to return.

We had a party of 9, and we a variety of dishes. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. One dish did take an incredibly long time to come out, and that person ended up taking it home.

I ordered the California Chicken Sandwich, and it was delicious! The margaritas were good.

This place is stupid. For something that calls itself an "alehouse", they sure do have a non-extensive selection of beers. I feel like they focus more on the food than anything else...which is pretty much sub par.

A few friends and I came here, we got a booth (maybe it's cooler at the bar?). Our server was friendly and attentive enough, and suggested some food and beers to us. I guess I was just bummed to not see more IPAs, but they did have Dogfish Head 90 minute which was cool.

The food was just...eh. I got the Blackened Catfish soft tacos. Nothing extraordinary. I've had better at diners. I probably won't come here again unless I'm sitting at the bar, I noticed it was pretty packed as we were leaving..

Visited with my parents on a Sunday for lunch. Moderately busy--service was excellent. Mom had the Marinated Steak Salad--she loved it. The steak was very tender and flavorful, greens were crisp, vinaigrette was very good. Dad had the Black Jack Burger, also very well liked. The habanero bbq sauce on the side did not get put on the burger, but we dipped our fries in it. A very slow, sweet heat, nothing overpowering. I went with the Italiano sandwich--love at first bite. Everything on it was quality, from the bread, to the abundant meats to the cheese and dressing.

We will definitely be back--we not only want to try many other menu items but also their ales.

Pleasantly surprised.

Any place called the Ale House, Alehouse, Aylhaüs or any derivative thereof, has stiff historical competition it's automatically up against - a forgotten place of college youth that offered a mountain of chicken nachos 40 cubits high; 13 acres of cheesy chips piled with salsa and a dump truck's worth of chicken tenders and salsa. It was ridiculous.

The Bungalow does not have these nachos, but their broad, rotating taps, potent wells, decent pub grub and immaculately maintained pool tables give them a strong pimp hand. And they play it well.

The DJ is a little out of place. Stick to juke tunes. Pool runs $5pp/hr but they cap it at three, so bring a pile of friends and foot the $15/hr - the play is superb. Chicken tenders are what they are, and the bar pizza is above average.

The star of the night (after the tables) was Eli, our server. Lighting quick with the drink re-orders, accurate with split checks and always with a chipper attitude, even while dodging jumped cue balls. He epitomizes service with a smile and I truly hope The Bungalow management reads this and passes on the love.

I just can't eat this food. It's not chainy.... it's just not good.

I've had the Guinness Stew. It was so sticky and thick that I could not swallow it.

I've also had the Mom's Pot Roast. I wanted to like it, but the salty flavor was just horrible. I'd rather eat from the food trays at the nursing home.

To be fair, I'm sure the bar fare is okay. I'm just not ever interested in commercialized ballgame food.

The place was actually better than I was kind of expecting. Ha. It's very spacious and they did a decent job with the decor inside. It's almost hard to tell that it used to be a Don Pablos. Hehe. The service was decent through the whole meal as well.

As for the food, I got their chili which was ok but nothing real special. I got the Alehouse DayDream burger which had pulled pork piled on top. It was a pretty good burger... no complaints about that.

One thing I found a little disappointing was the beer list for a place that is called an alehouse. Granted they do have a few beers on tap, but I expected a much larger selection than what they had.

Overall, decent place though.

The Bungalow had a great bar atmosphere. The actual establishment is pretty small, which makes it a bit noisey if your are coming there to actually sit down and have a meal with a conversation, but if you're they're to watch a game or just hang out it's great. They have long tables in teh bar area with chairs set up which is great if your there with a group and want to have conversations while you watch one of the many T.V.'s they have. When I went we sat at the bar while we waited for a table and it was nice because there were scads of T.V.'s in the bar area and in the dining area. It was also nice because they weren't just playing one game. They were showing tennis, football, baseball, and boxing.

We had the crab dip appetizer and sandwiches which were excellent. The beer selection was also extensive. They have a nice menu that shows everything they have on tap and a description about it, which was also helpful. Everything was reasonably priced. They also had a number of dart boards and pool tables which is generally more dive bar ish, but this place was more on the classy side. I would definitely go back again to watch some football and eat.

My sisters and I visited the Bungalow Alehouse and it was okay. Although I am not a beer drinker, we ordered the appetizer special 4 beers with 10 wings and they were tasty.

We tried the Stella and a German beer that I cannot pronounce.; it was smooth for a beer. My sisters order a pizza to share and I ordered the crab cake which was okay. I ate two slices of their pizza and I immediately regretted ordering the crab cake. The pizza was really good.

The restaurant has two sides. One is for the bar and the other for family seating or large parties. They have huge flat screen TVs which is cool and the atmosphere is welcoming. The server we had that night "Melyssa" was very attentive and we received everything in a timely manner. I would go back.

QUICK NOTE: In my opinion, it's not kid friendly. I am not a fan of alcohol in the presence of children.

Not impressed with this place overall, but my husband liked the beer selection. We met another couple one evening because both husbands wanted to try the beer. The food was one step above awful and the noise was too much to sit and chat.
When we were getting ready to leave someone who looked like he was a manager was giving these two guys a really bad time. They were arguing and carrying on right by the bar. From a customer's standpoint, whatever the problem was should have been taken elsewhere.

Bungalows is just what Woodbridge needed! With all the smokey dive bars in Woodbridge it's nice to get something that is fancy and clean. Bungalows is a great bar with a great beer selection, and so far the food has been pretty good as well.

Bungalows has darts, lots of pool tables, a nice wood finished bar, a cool dining room, as well as a couple of proprietors tables. The cost is not cheap but definitely affordable. The food is pretty good for a place that I wasn't expecting great food from, mostly great beer. The nachos are great and HUGE (see pic) The Mom's Pot Roast is delicious and so is the Herb Roasted Chicken, wings aren't too shabby. The only downfall of the food so far was the Marsala Tenderloin Tips which was to me comparable to Hamburger Helper, not good for $16 :( But the other great food and beer I've had there make up for one bad item, I'll just steer clear of it from here. Of course I should mention the beer, they have anything and everything you can want, so whatever your tastes you'll be able to find it here.

I fully recomend Bungalow Alehouse, it's definitely one of Woodbridges top bars

Very nice beer selection!

Oak Barrel Stout from Old Dominion Brewing Co in Ashburn, VA is a must try!

Our waiter recommended the Grilled Pork Chop. It was pretty good, but not worth $14.99 in my opinion.

The Wild Wings (10 piece) for $7.99 was okay. Food is on par, but if you want to relax and throw back a couple of cold ones this is the place to be in Hoodbridge, VA.

So this place is pretty cool....

If you like having choices for beer and bar/restaurant food that has variety - a lively atmosphere and sports entertainment...then you will like it here.

I have only had two things to eat:

The grilled shrimp appetizer - delicious but very spicey
The Brick oven pizza (well done) - tastes great and they cook it til the pepperonis turn crisp - just the way I like it.

The service is good - all of the servers Ive had are very attentive.

Id like to see a little more buffer space for darts. The tables are too close to the dart throwing line.

I didnt like that someone came up to me and asked me not to turn my hat around backwards when I was playing darts.....a little unnecessary if you ask me.

But overall this place is very busy and its my new favorite spot!
