A generous 3-stars because the service was hometown friendly.  The food was all right, actually, it beats any chain meal, but being the food snob that I am, it just wasn't fresh enough.  The burger was likely of the frozen variety, not very fresh or flavorful.  But you get a bird's eye view of "Mayberry" outside, the fries are hot, the beer is cold, and sometimes that's all you can ask for.

I don't know how this place stayed friendly and consistent for so many years but its a homey part of town when I visit Chester and I always look forward to a trip to town to fill up.

This is a great place to take the kids and watch the toy train work its way through the restaurant as you eat.  The food was horrible when we were here.  We had burned, dry, small burgers.  I don't recommend them for a burger.  Go across the street to the Frosty for a quick burger.

The Burger Depot has great burgers and more, just what you need after a day hiking in the national park.  In the morning, Caboost sells fresh coffee, donuts, and pastries in the same restaurant facility.

When we chose to stop here I worried it might be little more than a walk-up burger stand still open on a Sunday evening. To my pleasant surprise, it was a cozy local joint with good decor and friendly staff.

The burgers are juicy and delicious. The onion rings aren't home made, but still good.  The pizzas are very reasonably priced and almost enough for four people. All in all, I think we got a very good deal on dinner.

In the morning, we stopped by to try donuts and coffee, served by some ladies using the Burger Depot facilities. We hung out for quite a while getting to know the staff and pigging out on the very freshly made pastries and espresso.

This was the second time that we have eaten here. The first was okay...not great. This time, the burger was served on an old, cold bun.  This is a good place for people who do not mind paying more than their food is worth. The sandwiches here are the the same as one would find at a fund raiser cook out: A cheap burger patty on an old, cold bun. The fish consists of cheap fish sticks (probably from Costco), deep fried and served like a few toothpicks (poor presentation...as well as taste).

I will never go here again. There are several other choices in Chester as far as burgers. My go to choice (if this was the only place open) would be to eat a pizza...or not eat at all!

This is the second time I've been here and the burgers are great.  The fries were good as well and everything seemed fresh at the "burger bar" where you get your toppings.  The prices seemed a little higher than what I'm used to ($5.75+ for a burger with any toppings, upwards of $9.00 if you add a drink and fries), but it isn't outrageous for the amount of food you get and the atmosphere of the place.

Last time we were there they had a train running around the upper levels of the walls, but this time it wasn't on (it was a week day, so maybe that was it).  But, the railroad motif is nice and the memorabilia is interesting to look at while you wait.

My daughter (3 yo) had the corn dog kids meal and the mini corn dogs were very good and the fries serving was more than generous.

I would definitely come back to this place every time I'm in the Chester area!

Excellent burgers and services. I got the Santa Fe burger and it was awesome!

I would recommend sticking to the burgers.  I tasted my husbands turkey burger, and it was great.  I on the other hand had a crispy chicken salad which had more cheese than lettuce.  I was eyeing his turkey burger...   The people here are super friendly.   We would come here again.

This place is unique, as you get to build your own burger, and the food is quite tasty.  The service is friendly.  The place is clean and tidy and the atmosphere is fun. The food (and burger toppings) are fresh!  Also served are: "garden" burgers, turkey burgers, "baby" burgers, lettuce wraps, tortilla wraps and rye/wheat bread instead of a bun.

Great large burgers and fries for a reasonable price; would recommend the Smokestack, the Mediterranean Turkey Burger, and the Cobb Salad with chicken strips.  Also the only place in town to get anything resembling fish 'n chips.

The only downside:  No more arcade games, as could be found when it was the Hamburger Tree.

The sign out front reads "never become attached to anything that continues to hurt God", & the flipside of that sign reads "don't be so open minded, your brains fall out". Despite the backwater charm of unsolicited, thinly-veiled religious advice (really, we found it kind of awesome) the burgers were quite good. BONUS for having Hires Root Beer & RC Cola on the fountain. It's rare to roll into an establishment that hasn't been tarnished by Big Soda.

Burger Depot, you don't need Coke or Pepsi to be cool. Quite frankly, being the weird kid will build character & you'll be cooler & more interesting at the 10 year reunion. So stay sweet, Burger Depot. Never change. K.I.T. & I hope you always have a rad summer.
