Love country dancing? Â This place is fun. Â
I go only to dance, so I don't really pay that much attention to the other people.
Dancing with a stranger does not put you in a committed relationship, nor is it an offer or an acceptance of anything illicit or illegal. Â Relax, Dance and have Fun.
I have never felt unsafe during the Country Music portion of the evening(s).
You'll find more varied ages on Ladies Night Tuesdays because there are also dance lessons that day.
I'm OK with the dress codes because the last thing a respectable fun spot needs is a visible gang presence or sovenly-looking people.
I don't fret about the small cover. After all, the DJ and other Entertainment staff needs to be paid.
As if the suburbs did not have some of the weirdest and drunkest people you have ever met, this place is the home for all of them! Â I felt very young here, and I am young, but you know most bars let underage kids in and whatever, but I felt like a child, as well as a piece of meat for all the old men who act like they reside here. Â Not a fan, no, the random country music mixed it just killed it for me.
Review Source:I came here with some friends on a Saturday night and it was a bit interesting. It was a much older crowd than I expected. Â I felt like we were much too young to be there. Â The older men here seemed a bit pushy as well. Â Some just really didn't get the hint that I was NOT interested.
The did some line dancing lessons, but it was too difficult for me to keep up and as Ericka A said "everyone knew what they were doing, except us". Â I felt stupid trying to keep up. Â This was especially amusing to me since I was probably the only person in the bar that legit grew up in the South where were had to do line dancing in gym class.
The place is pretty cool, I just wish the crowd was a little younger... and I think it is kind of silly to charge a cover in the suburbs.
since they choose to filter me, i will say this. Â AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
I attended a benefit there, the staff was rude, the place dirty, slow service. Â THe pizza is way yummy though.
they should learn how to treat people, you dont accuse someone of something without PROOF. Â Well her eis the proof, NEVER AGAIN
Right around the corner from my house. Â I would consider this place a country line dancing bar 7 days a week until around midnight! Â After midnight it turns into a Ghetto Fabulous Dance club that plays hip-hop, R&B, Techno, Trance and any other music they can get there hands on. Â It is open until 4 in the morning 7 days a week. Â Be careful going there late night, the crazies come out after midnight! Â The drinks are very strong and the staff is very nice!!
Review Source:Would like to say how disappointed I was at the service at the Cadillac Ranch. Â We had over 200 people there for a benefit and the bartenders were so slow, Â there was always a line, food kept running out. Â There was no one to clean the tables.
The only positive thing was the size of the room. Â Stay away if you plan to have a party here. Â There are alot of other places out there.
I attended a benefit for a friend here, and was impressed by the size of the room. However, the bar service was abysmal, and one bartender was just plain rude. He ignored customers in line and served others who just casually walked up to the bar. WTH? The pizzas came out in bunches but with long gaps in between, and for a while only sausage was available. The food was very good, however.
Review Source:We came here on New Years Eve because they seemed to have a half way decent price for dinner and cover, no drinks. Â We clearly had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
When we got there for dinner at 7:30 all tables were filled with people eating. Thanks to a couple of nice gentlemen and our bartender we got some chairs to sit in. They were already playing country music at this point. Â Drink prices seemed to be a little much as well. Â I ordered a Jack & Coke that cost me $6.25! Â I have never paid that much for a Jack & Coke. Â If my friend hadn't of paid $4.25 for her drink I probably would not have cared as much with nothing to compare to. Â And $3 for PBR seemed a bit much too but I'm assuming drink prices were up because it was NYE.
Once people were done eating that's when all the line dancing started. It was interesting to watch at first but it got old after awhile. It's hard to join in and try to learn the dances but some people were nice and helped us learn some. Other people not so much. Some will tell you to get off the floor if you don't know the moves.
This was all kind of fun for the first hour. We thought since it was NYE that after 10 they would stop playing country and switch over to more pop/rap. Boy were we wrong! After a certain point they announced they were playing country all night. This ruined our night. Not what we were expecting at all. It was too much country for one night. Plus as for someone who has spent time down south it was laughable to see a bunch of suburbanites dressing up 'country'.
I came here with some of my closest lady friends on a Saturday night in September for my second bachelorette party. I have always wanted to come here and thought it would be the perfect time to go. None of us had been here before too and we were all excited!
When I looked on the website, I knew there would be country music playing all night (until 2am, when the place turns into a dance club), but what I didn't realize was that it would be LINE DANCING all night with people in their 40s and 50s. There were a handful of people our age (20s) but we felt very awkward the first couple hours there. (I later found out from a very talented, young, cute line dancer that most of the 20-something crowd were at a Toby Keith concert that night instead of the bar -- which is where my then-fiance was).
But you know what? We quickly embraced the line dancing (or for those of us who didn't dance, we enjoyed watching). We also had several talented men come up and take turns dancing with us. I managed to get the hang of the moves really quick, considering I had never really line danced before aside from the Electric Slide (ha)! I am still grateful to this day for the one guy who taught us all the moves. We also had a lot of drinks during the night. I'm not sure how much they cost (I wasn't paying), but we also had many guys buy us a round of drinks, which left us feeling really good! (I have a feeling that the alcohol helped us enjoy the dancing more but who cares?) Some of the ladies left as the night went on, but a small group of us stayed until 3am; we stayed for six hours -- the longest (and latest) I've ever stayed out dancing!!
I am so anxious to go back --- another time with my lady friends and some time with my husband! I don't care about the reviews from people who don't like this place -- it is very easy for me to have a good time here!!
Cadillac Ranch is the saving grace of the St. Charles area. I had my first experience here last Thursday and was surprised on how crowded it was there. There was a $5 cover which was disappointing but the low drink prices made up for it. The house dj was playing great music that got people on the dance floor having a good time. I would recommend this bar to anybody that is in the area.
Review Source:$2.50 beers and $3.50 mixed drinks?! are you kidding me?! This place is 3 times cheaper than SF! but there was also a $5 cover, so maybe twice as cheap if you're not drinking enough. It's also a strange place in the middle of the suburbs (errr nowhere...?). Â but still, it's pretty much the only place to go to if you don't want to make a 1hr trip to Chi-town.
I came here on a Thursday night, and it was filled with people from the Q-center or people from the Pleasant run resort- so not too many locals & I think their business is contingent upon people from these hotels.
The music and the drinks were decent- they had some stuff from the radio, ¬ the country/line-dancing music I previously expected. There was a dance floor with a small stage, a separate bar to gather around, &plenty of room for mingling. The real party doesn't start until 10:30-11pm though.
soo from what I gather, thursday is the suburb's new friday!
i never fail to get the '...caddy?' text come wednesday afternoon. i guess there's some sort of drink special wednesday nights. dirt cheap drinks...even cheaper? hey, why not.
get there before 10 and you'll even skip out on cover. you'll also find yourself standing alone inside the 'ranch' with a couple old guys checking you out. life's full of sacrifices right? it's ok though, it's only a one time thing. Â - you can opt to have a 'medusa' sticker stuck to the back of your license for free cover...forever. what.a.steal.
so the music isn't the best in the world, but neither is our judgment after a couple hours of cheap drinks. they have shirtless cowboys and half-nakie cowgirls. it gets better by the second right?
people can hate on caddy all they'd like, but, be real people...we're in suburbia. if you want some fancy schmancy bar, drive your butt 45 min to the city.
This place gives me amnesia (and it's only about 1 mile from my home) You forget how terrible you feel the morning after a 2am visit to the Caddy Ranch... Then you swear you'll never go back.. Sure as hell, a few months later... You're leaving there again at the wee hours of the morning...
:)
A large group of us came here last Thursday because we were under the assumption that it was the place to go to for some drinking/dancing/fun. Ahhh, how misleaded we were (or at least I was). Perhaps, coming here on a weekend would have been better since the whole place was just filled by our large group. No locals. If you are not from Illinois and want to meet and have some fun with the locals...try another night, or even another place.
Cover fee - $5. Drinks - decent prices. Music selection - some country and techno but mostly pop songs.
It took a lot of convincing to get one of our friends to come along with us for line-dancing night, so I was disheartened that our promises of a good time were not able to be fulfilled. Sure, there was line-dancing, but the website clearly stated there would be lessons for beginners and the instructor herself announced it was intermediate when we got there. Everyone knew what they were doing, except us.
It was impossible to see the instructor's feet unless you were first in the line. We mustered up all our years of dance lessons and tried to keep up. It was no use. We were utterly lost and becoming more frustrated by the minute. We tried to loosen up a bit with some well-mixed vodka, Diet Coke and grenadine, but it was all in vain. Even the extra cherries couldn't cheer us up. We left within half an hour of our arrival.
I'm willing to give them another shot. I really want to learn some line-dancing. Hopefully they will start offering beginner tutorials on the actual nights they say they will. At the very least, I hope they update their site to reflect what to expect.
Ever wonder sometimes what choices you've made in life that have lead you to this point?!...
hide your kids, hide your wife
and hide your husband
cuz they're rapin errbody out here
Some house wife on the prowl slipped me a ruffie... true story! I got out just in time. Actually it was right after she told me she did, I took off. I've been back a few times since.
Why go there when you know it's a disease (if not from the people then the place itself) waiting to happen!? Well, because it was right down the street from a friend's place. Don't tell me you've never party at a sleazy club before. I know you have because... Â Â
you don't have to come and confess
we're lookin for you
we gon find you
so you can run and tell that, homeboy
we got your t-shirt
you done left fingerprints and all
you are so dumb
you are really dumb--for real
Drinks are cheap, cover charges suck, and the floors, wall, and probably ceilings are sticky, but if you go with friends it a drunken crazy night. I would hate to work there. Tip: Weekends it's nothing but country till 1am, so be smart and don't show up till 2am.

I've spent some time in Nashville, TN and loved it and have always been interested in learning to line dance. Â According to their website, there was a free beginning line dance lesson on Tuesday night starting at 7 pm and cover was $4.
I wranged a few semi-willing girlfriends to drive out there with me (approx 30 min for me) and off we went in search of a bit of exercize and fun. Â We were about 30 min late when we walked in and dancing had already started. Â We were neither carded nor charged a cover. Â We grabbed drinks at the bar (props to the bartender who gave me a cherry in my diet coke with a spash of grenadine) and we went to go find a place to sit to watch. Â
#1 Everyone already knew what they were doing
#2 The best seat to watch was a wide booth (all three of us fit on it) on an elevated stage with two poles...YES POLES! Â (props for this BTW)
#3 Â The ACTUAL lesson probably started about 8 pm. Â Again - this was supposed to be a beginner's lesson. Â Two of us decided to join in and one of our friends just said "No" to Honky Tonk Hell. Â About 15 minutes in both me and my friend (both coordinated people with dance backgrounds) had given up and decided to leave. Â The lesson was Intermediate (as noted by the instructor) and there were so many people it was very difficult to see her feet. Â
The two stars are for the maraschino cherry, the lack of cover, the poles and the nice woman who came to talk to us and encourage us to dance.
I would go back if they offered actual BEGINNING line dance lessons in a heart beat. Â All & all - I was SUPER disappointed. Â :(
My first and last visit to this place. Eek! Visiting from out of town, but went here because a friend who resides in IL really wanted to take us here, so we thought what the heck.
$10.00 cover for me and my husband that we will never get back. Normally,  $5 a piece I don't mind paying  IF the atmosphere is tolerable.
The bouncers take themselves REALLY serious here. Our out of state drivers licenses were examined, examined again and then scanned through a machine with all of our info. It's the Cadillac Ranch, not the Pentagon.
It was country night. Neither of us can stand country, but we tolerated it that night to be with our friend who told us to hold out until after 2AM for some dance music. Needless to say, our ears couldn't take anymore and we couldn't take one more power remix of "Don't impress me much" by Shania.
Bathrooms were the filthiest things I've ever seen. Clearly there is no cleaning room on staff. Gross!
If it's country you're after, by all means, if not, pass.
I used to go here when yelp wasn't even born yet. It's the place to go after all the other bars have closed and your still looking for someone else to take you home. Lots of club dancing which is really odd considering there is country line dancing before that. If you go here after the other bars have closed I recommend taking a cab. Not to sound like a parent but you know why your still there till 4:00 in morning. I'm sure it has changed sense last time I've been there but go at least once while your young.
Review Source:So this was my first time to venture here. Â And man, oh man was it interesting. Â Kind of reminded me of home (Dallas) with all the cowboy stuff, bull heads, raw hide bar stools, saw dust dance floor to boot scoot and boogy, good drink specials and a texas sized bar.
Courtney was a great bar tender and kept our drinks full even in the heat of the night! Â Fun times, will certainly go back.
YAY!! The Ranch!! Who doesn't love the Ranch?? It's fun and close to home! The only issue I have with this place is the line dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. I have to wait till 2 AM to come here and dance..they should have the line dancing during the week when less people are there. Ah well..can't always get what you want..
I like coming up here on Wednesday's too because it is $1 you call-it. You can get your typical cocktails like; Vodka & Cran, Vodka & Lemonade, Captain and coke, etc. and a mini pitcher of beer for a buck! Not bad! But it gets crowded around 10PM. You dodge the cover charge of $5 before 10 so that's when everyone starts rushing in..so get there early! Also, don't waste your time coming here on Thursday nights, it's International Night, meaning all the foreigners come to party and they play their music ONLY. I made that mistake once and I had to listen to remakes of Michael Jackson in Polish I think it was..we left after an hour. I think it's nice that they do that sorta thing, but they should really advertise that a little more so people know.
They have nice deck where the smokers can sneak away for quick min. During the winter they have their smoke shack up, usually it's heated but this winter it never was..basically just kept the wind off of you..ah well.
Anyway! I suggest coming here on Wednesday's, Friday's and Saturdays after 2AM! It's a lot of fun!! And it's always hoppin'!!!
oh the ranch! this place is overrated but it's stupid close to home so they get an extra star for that. if you come with the right peeps it's a whole lota fun! the cover is super expensive at least $10, even more if it's past 2 am cause let's face it after waiting in line for an hour who wouldn't pay it!? this is the place to go when all the other bars in the area have closed you need to keep going til 4am. i too have been here at the early hours of the night when the line dancing is in full effect and needless to say i'm not into that stuff...bartenders are cool, my fav is Ami, she rocks! try to come when Moretti's has karaoke, at least it gives you something to fall back on!
Review Source:Ooooo the Ranch. Â Or as I like to think of it, the place I go to when I've had waaay too much to drink in the surrounding suburbs and feel like I need to keep the party rolling until 4 a.m. Â This place does totally suck, regardless of the fun you might think you're having in a drunken and delusional haze. Â I've been there earlier in the night (country music/line dancing) and can definitely see where people who are into that would like it, but that's not really my thing. Â The bouncers are alright, the bartenders offer decent service but the drinks are always watered down and the crowd suuuucks. Â The DJ's..I don't know, are completely out of touch with reality and play the same really played out music over and over (think T-pain "Buy You a Drank"). Â There are A LOT of really creepy and unattractive dudes there. Â If you don't want some gross dude coming up behind you trying to get fresh, don't go to the ranch. Â Sorry if I offended anyone but this place is definitely not for me!
Review Source:OVERRATED Dump. Period. Amen. End of story.
Me and some friends somehow ended up here once a few years back around the Christmas season coming back from late holiday shopping at Woodfield mall one December night. Â We obviously didn't know the climate or the history, but it sure didn't take us very long to find out.... Â Never will I find myself back in this dump.
It starts with a cover charge (unless you are one of the 'regulars'). Â That's right. Â You have to PAY to come into this sewer. Â Think of what you can already do with that $5 cover charge (for each person) elsewhere - that could be rounds of beers or appetizers right there, or heck, just $15 or more still in your wallets to go towards a simple Christmas gift for somebody.
This place has redneck written all over it, might as well be called the Hillbilly Ranch. Â If you are especially into any kind of rock n' roll, this place probably isn't for you. There are many other establishments you all can choose to go to at late hours of the night if you wan't to keep the buzz up or just stay out later - WITHOUT a cover charge. Â 95% of the crap they play here is country music. You will have to tolerate all the hillbilly jingles like 'She fell in love with my tractor", "Suds in the bucket" or "I'm a redneck woman" (Yes, those are actual song titles) and see mostly a bunch of morons everwhere to boot. Â Country music is clearly NOT my thing, again though none of us knew that before our arrival.
Sure, maybe at 3am they'll throw on some dance or house/rap music ( I can at least tolerate that stuff to some degree...) or 1-2 rock songs, but most people over the age of 19-22 have better things to do at 3am. Â
You'll see a bunch of drunk dudes with long unkept hair and goatees, skin tight jeans, huge belt buckles, and cowboy hats, and the girls all drinking, looking for attention, or doing stupid line-dancing (learn how to do real dancing, people...). This is some of the funniest stuff to watch, not to mention probably the stupidest dancing on the face of this planet - just my humble opinion.
Why anybody would want to learn this type of dancing is BEYOND ME. Â I'd feel more fulfilled with being the permanent clown in the carnival dunk-tank or donating my time to doing 200 hours of community service picking up big gulps off the side of the highway... Â To each his own, though...
In just my one time there, me and my party saw women getting groped, and it didn't necessarilly look consensual. Â On our way in, we clearly saw several cars full of people smoking dope, the smell was in the air. Â Somehow though, THESE activities seem to be 'overlooked', yet I hear this place makes a stink about a dress code, or certain hats, or if your gym shoes aren't white enough?? Â Um, come again?
Furthering that point, the bouncers seemed to walk around with these looks on their faces on a power trip - also yelling at or being arrogant with people at the coat-check (yet I hear they make $9 - $10 an hour. Â However, this is in no way insulting anybody hard working and making an honest living though. The bouncers here are just dopes, though). Given the amount of fights and trouble at this place (just read the paper every other day for proof of this - obviously there are ISSUES...), it seems the bouncers don't do a very good job.
The ONLY reasons this place does well is for the obvious. Â It is open late and caters to a certain demographic of people who have nothing better to do at wee hours of the night and it offers an 'all of the above' option for those who want to line-dance, get (or stay) drunk, smoke pot in the parking lot, and act like morons.
As I touched on above, every other week (sometimes every other DAY) in the paper you read about "bar and parking lot fights", "drug busts", and cops always arresting somebody for something. Granted, trouble can happen anywhere, but with this place it is CONSTANT. Â Why could this be? Â Coincidence and happenstance can only happen so much.......
Finally, after saying something to some guy after we saw him groping some unsuspecting girl for basically 45 minutes, some of my buddies got into it with some of that guy's friends, and we were asked 'not to come back' (** Oh...what ever will I do????????), despite us telling the 'manager' what had just happened. This was a blessing - good riddance!!! Â The groping guy was obviously a regular. Â
Picture this place as a sister to like Denny's or Steak & Shake. Who do you usually see in those places at 3 and 4am for the most part? Don't answer that if you are a moron.
* I have not been to the adjacent restaurant nor did we use the restrooms that are described here as sess-pools, so I cannot comment on those aspects.
Oh, el Rancho.....
Wherever do I start? Â
This place is basically a country bar, but when the DJ playing "Sweet Home Alabama" at 2:00 a.m. on the dot, it becomes clubby. The two crowds that favor one or the other rarely mix, though I have been around for both phases. Â
The country scene there is great...if you like country. Â My sister does, so she used to drag me out to the place on the regular, but I don't. Â Sorry to all country fans, but I prefer my music twang free. Â Naturally, this caused me to be a slow learn at country dancing, and since most people come here for dancing, I tended to drink to excess instead. Â The bartenders here are really, really cool, so that worked out well for me.
If you want to dance, try to go with someone who knows the line dances and stay near the edge of the floor when learning. Â Only about a third of the songs are line dances; the rest are slow dances or couple dancing. Â Pretty much anyone can slow dance, but the couples dances are really hard. On the plus side? Guys ask you to dance a lot and will often teach you. Â These guys, unlike the ones at the clubby phase, will not expect you to make out with them or let them cop a feel just because you danced together. Something about the country scene does bring about a more old-fashioned breed of gentlemen, to their credit. Â And this is a very, very good thing considering the guys we're talking about. Most of them are a bit older (sometimes 40-50 year olds will ask you to dance) and there's a few that don't have full dental capacity if you get my drift. Even the young ones with all their teeth are the Wranglers/huge belt buckle/boots type, so again, non-country types be aware. Â The dancing can get kind of fun if you know what you're doing, but I still detest the music, if that be possible to hold both those opinions at once. Â
At the stroke of 2, the cowboys/cowgirls disappear and the halter top / collared shirt set shows up to sweatily grind on each other to bass-pounding music. Standard after hours, and at my age, I'd rather be eating a sandwich and going to bed at that hour.
Truth told, it's ok for what it is, but I'm no country fan. Â I can think of a million places I'd rather go before I'd ever suggest a trip here. I'd give it 2.5 stars in my true opinion, but I'll round it up to 3 since the staff here is super nice...and because Yelp makes you.
I came here Thursday night at 11pm expecting some line dancing, but was pleasantly surprised with a great mix of 80's, 90's, hip hop, and techno hits. Â To top off the music, there were music videos on large lcd monitors, a huge dance floor, three bars, cheap drinks, billiards, and various arcade games. Â I would definitely frequent this place if it were local.
Review Source:I was chatting with a friend the other night about what I could possibly say about this place - it's been a few days and I've let all the thoughts stew, so here we go (it's going to be a hot, spicy stew).
I've been to Cadillac Ranch on several occasions. Â It happens to be close to our large corporate training facility so on Thursday nights a bunch of giant school buses pull up to the Q Center and truck a few hundred consultants (mostly from Europe / South America / etc) out to the Ranch.
Never been there for the line dancing or anything like that, so I can't comment on it.
They usually run a $25 all-you-can-drink for us which means seriously watered-down drinks and a massive hangover the next morning. Â The place is HUGE and it's easy to get lost. Â We usually like to hang out over by the pool tables, since it's a bit quieter over there.
There's a large dance floor that, on Thursdays, is primarily occupied by country bumpkin local girls (shake shake shake that ass, you naughty thing) and European consultants with no rhythm and a head full of booze. Â Very, very entertaining.
The back room sometimes will turn into a Karaoke extravaganza, which can get very amusing when a bunch of Polish girls try to "rock out" to a Britney Spears song.
My experiences at the Ranch have been mostly positive, despite terrible service, watered-down drinks and a complete and total lack of atmosphere. Â The combination of white-collar consultants and locals from Bartlett (this is NOT close to Chicago no matter what anyone tells you) always puts a smile on my face.
This place is obviously good for those who like country music (line/couple dances and all). They play house/club/non-country music after 2 am. That's when I started having fun.
Bad thing is that before 2 am, you must know the line dances in order to participate. Otherwise, you will either piss people off or just look like a fool if you go out there and try to wing it yourself. I guess they have lessons during the week on how to line dance and couple dance (yeah, I'll pass).
The girls here are your typical slutty looking Sallys with tank tops and black boots topped off with the occasional rhinestone cowgirl hat. Lots of the guys look (and talk) very southern, complete with flannel shirts, blue jeans, cowboy boots and their hats. Not my scene by all means, but still fun to go and hang out with friends.
Cadillac Ranch also got another star from me because they have Busch Light on tap!!!!
I've been going to Cadillac Ranch off and on since the mid-90's. That's where I learned many-a-line-dance and couples dances (Tuesdays and Fridays). And that's when Dancin' Sue (Lipscomb), who was a line dance instructor at Cadillac, won an award for choreographing a line dance called the "Watermelon Crawl".
On a typical Friday night, an older crowd and couples will show up early (7:30 PM) for dance lessons. Some of them start leaving when the mainstream and country folk start appearing after 9 or 10 PM. Drinks and cigarettes are not allowed on the dance floor up until 2 AM.
Around 2 AM the main lights go down, the music changes from country to club, pop, rock, and everything in between. That's when some of the country crowd clears out. That's also when the 20-somethings arrive, the drinks start spilling like crazy, and the crowd gets a little wild.
If you want a word to describe The Ranch after going for many years, I'd say "predictable". I can tell you that right before 2 AM, you may see a line dance to "Sharp Dressed Man" (ZZ Top), followed the transition song "Sweet Home Alabama", which is then followed by (in no particular order) "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Jessie's Girl", "You Shook Me All Night Long" and a host of other oldies. After the predictable oldies, modern club mixes will be blasted to strobes and flickering lights.
I still like going to Cadillac Ranch on occasion. And though the smoking is pretty heavy, that should change in January 2008 with the smoking ban.
Side note: If you eat in the restaurant on the north side of the building (separate from the club), ask for a free pass into the club after your meal. Otherwise there's a cover charge.
Oh how many nights have I gone to The Ranch? Too many. This placed is filled with your run of the mill shiny shirt wearing, bad music listening, grinding up on people you don't know types. This establishments only saving grace is that it is open til 4 am and this is why I continue to end up there. It is definitely a better option than Dakota's for a Burb 4 am.
I give this place 3 stars for it's hours of operation and the people watching, which is so bad it is good.
I know a lot of people that dog this place, but I've always had a blast. Â My friends and I would hit it up as an after-hours place, to keep gettin' our dance on. Â A lot of others may say that the people or the place itself is dirty, but whatever, I love going here, even as a pretty-boy.
I never picked up a girl from this place, but it's because I *intentionally* never tried, and mostly because the girls creep me out. Â Seriously, I met some of the most jacked up girls ever here. Â However, that's never stopped me from drinking my face off or gettin' down on the dance floor with a non-pretentious crowd that just wants to have fun. Â It's like if you took Bar Chicago, made it an after-hours place, and gave it a cowboy theme.
I have been going to Cadillac for many years. Â They have all kinds of dance lessons. Â Friday nights are "couple" dance lessons. Â If you are not part of a couple- that's ok- the teacher will partner you up for the lesson. Â Sunday night is the stampede- come early-all you can eat plus great country and western tunes spun by their dj. Â The food is pretty good for a buffet and most Sunday nites bring out some pretty good dancers. Â This is a lot of fun with plenty of friendly folks - not too much of a meat market "scene". Â Sunday nite is way different than Saturday nite!
Review Source:Cadillac Ranch [Caddy or The Ranch] is for know for two types of crowds: country and clubby. There is line dancing, two-step and after 2a there's booty grinding. I do not know how to line dance, but I have attempted after a few drinks. Caddy always draws a crowd, and mostly after 2a when the hip hop music begins. Â Bars in the area close around 2am and Caddy is one of the few bars that stays open until 4. It's huge inside. There are 3 big bars with an average of two bartenders per bar, and in the corner of it all a huge dance floor with a stage. Opposite the dance floor are pool tables and darts. Â I have no clue how many times I have been to Cadillac, but each I leave I know that I will be back. [$5 cover]
