Had a great waiter Brandon, very attentive and professional. I ordered  a white pizza with tomatoes and garlic. It was good. Small restaurant, The Bathroom was gross. Only one unisex bathroom and it needed to be cleaned. Paper towel dispenser needs to be replaced with one that people dont have to use force  to get towels out.
Review Source:I went here for Lunch on business with a co-worker. We both ordered panini's which were awesome. I ordered the "zola" and the main ingredient was prosciutto (which if your italian you would know, can be fatty/dry/ stringy/chewy) But! when it is lean and fresh it is very delicious. WELL!! the quality here was AMAZING and i can honestly say i never had a better panini...ever....and i love panini's. For dessert we had Gelato which was very light, refreshing, and delicious. Friendly staff, everything is fresh, and very clean. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
Review Source:Lovely atmosphere and beautiful view of the Hudson are the only reason I'm giving two stars. Ordered the pizza with mozzarella and mushrooms and the only good part was the mozzarella. I'm a pizza lover normally able to eat 3 or 4 slices in one sitting but was barely able to eat one slice of this pizza. Cheese and bread tray was delicious but you can never go wrong with fresh cheese. It also should not take 30-40 minutes to make a pizza. The service was some of the worst I've had. Instead of feeling welcome, I felt a disturbance asking for another drink. All in all it was an okay experience but would recommend another restaurant to try in this immediate area... Especially if you are in need of a quick meal.
Review Source:The atmosphere is great - right on the river w/ great views. The interior is really fun - lots of cool colors & fun masks hanging on the walls. Staff is mostly-friendly. The food is TERRIFIC. Great gourmet pizzas the way it's meant to be. Panini's are good too. Â Delicious gelato. Â The outside seating is nice for the view, but the tables are so close together I feel like I have to whisper so I'm not in conversation with the table next to me.
Also...more affordable than most eateries in that section of the riverfront. You should definitely try this place out.
It's a great place to go on a spring/summer/fall day. Â Eat outside or inside & take a walk along the waterfront before or after your meal. Â Sometimes in the summer, you can hear great live music really well from a neighboring place.
This place is located on the waterfront in Newburgh, NY (Yelp hinterland. Â check in once anywhere around here and you'll automatically be the duke/duchess).
Cafe Pitti is a great place to grab a bite and watch the Hudson River flow by. Â I shared the Carpaccio, which was delicious. Â The insanely thin slices of rare beef were served over arugula and tossed in oil and vinegar and topped with plenty of fresh parmesan cheese. Â The portion is huge, so either share with a friend or be prepared to take it home with you.
I also had a panini with mortadella and capicola. Â It was a very simple sandwich on high quality Italian bread, and the delicious meat flavors weren't masked by sauces or excessive cheese. Â It was fantastic.
Cafe Pitti is an owner run restaurant and it shows..in quality of food, great impeccable atmosphere and employee attitude. Â From the moment you walk in you feel at home - the food is great, well priced and the wine list is great with alot of value. Â Brick oven pizzas are delicious with unique combinations of toppings, great sandwiches, with a great meat and cheeses plate. Â I love visiting, grabbing a nice half bottle of wine and asking the owner to compile a meat and cheese plate. Â Give it a try if you're down by the Newburgh Waterfront.
Review Source:Just had the worst experience here. The food was ok, but we ate outside and were attacked by ants. We brought it to our servers attention and she was completely unhelpful. We asked for a plastic garbage bag to put my wife's purse in, which was full of ants, before we went back to our car, and were told that they had none? I'll never go back to this place.
Review Source:Cafe Pitti is a great little sandwich and gourmet pizza place on the Newburgh Waterfront. Â A fairly causal establishment, with just the right amount of flair.
When you go there, you should ask for an outside table, if the weather is nice. Â You can look at the Hudson River (which is actually a nice river, despite what you may have heard!), and the people walking by, and at the neighboring restaurants.
Pitti makes thin crust gourmet pizzas, and they are excellent - you can probably eat most of one yourself, so if you go with someone else, order two (you can bring any extra home) and get some variety.
The sandwiches are pretty good, too, if you care for those.
Limited beer and wine selection, but it will do.
The wait staff is very friendly, and all in all, you will find the meal here to be good food, at a fair price, and although not the best meal you will ever have, and nice eatery overall.
