HORRIBLE SERVICE! We ordered delivery with a credit card, they delivered my food after an hour and a half, even though I live ten minutes away and they said it would take 45, and came back to my house twenty minutes after they delivered the food to tell me that they didn't have record of my credit card being charged. Â I gave them my card info again only to be charged twice and when my wife called to have the second charge removed, she was called "hunny" and then hung up on...twice! Â I don't know who they think they are but it's the last time I go there.
Review Source:Such an awesome place. I love the north end but this place is just as good and cheaper. Great food, service, atmosphere, prices. I got the veal parm and it was excellent.huge portions. Only negatives: not alot of seating, and that fireplace sure does get toasty for a small restaurant. I love going there.
Review Source:I have no complaints. Â The food was good. Â The service in the restraunt was attentive. Â The food came out hot and they did not mess up our order. Â The portions were good. Â I've had food from this establishment twice and I was happy with both of my orders. Â The guests I had were also happy were there orders as well. Overall the prices are not outrageous. Â The bathrooms were clean and the staff was very nice overall I give it a 4 out of 5
Review Source:So I have no come to the point where I Yelp any and every new place I try out and so far they all have been pretty acurate until I decided to try Cappones...
Wow! Absolutely AWFUL! I ordered the Chicken, Broccoli and Penne because I am still on a search for a delicious CBZ in Weymouth. Cappones version was by far thee WORST CBZ I have ever had in my lifetime. I have never had boiled chicken before but I am pretty sure the chicken that was in my meal was just that. ZERO flavor. The price was a little hefty as well I think it was 16-17 bucks. My boyfriend as usual got a pizza which was also BLAND he said something like cardboard had more flavor than there pizza. He threw it away and that is like a sin to him! He even finished a Papa Johns pizza and those are terrible. So for him to toss it after 2 slices really says something! And finally we ordered breadsticks for $7 which was basically a small pizza cut into strips. Our delivery cost close to 40 bucks so I am kinda glad it sucked because 40 bucks for delivery its a little crazy if you ask me.
Pass on this place.
Excellent find! Food, drink and service were top notch. Unusual prohibition speak easy atmosphere - nice! Wait staff were prompt and attentive without being overbearing. Everything we had was top notch, best Chilli I have had in some time - not like the canned drivel some places use. We live in North Prov RI but we WILL be travelling back to Capone's at some point.  Go on give it  a try - you will NOT be disappointed.
Review Source:Buffalo Chicken Calzone seekers-I ordered the worst buff chick calzone I've ever had here...The chicken was very suspect and I'm pretty sure the buffalo sauce was just Frank's Red Hot sauce. Don't order the buffalo chicken calzone unless you're on your last breath due to starvation and the rest of the menu has for some reason been removed...
Review Source:Horrible Delivery!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't eaten at the restaurant numerous times food is good. Â Decided to eat at home and do take out. Â Ordered food at 7:00pm they said it would be 40 minutes at 8:50pm still no food and no call back. I called they said they didn't know that they would call the driver, at 9:15 received a call back saying the driver is on its way. All set!! Do not ever order take out from them, EVER!!!!
Review Source:Usually pretty solid. I used to think they had the best steak and cheese in the area, but the last couple I had weren't as great. Really good buffalo chicken pizza. Buffalo tenders are good too, if you like them really spicy. They make a good drink and always have different special ones on a menu at the bar. My friend loves their steak tips.
Review Source:I've eaten here previously but haven't yelped it until now.
Ate here last night with four other diners. Service was ok. I beleive the bartender was taking care of the bar and restaurant. I will cut you some slack.
Drinks were good. The bruschetta prior to our dinner was yummy. Two of our party had a burger, one had chicken parm, one had a ceasar wrap, and i had the prime rib sliders. The horseradish spread and au jus were a great compliment to the melt in your mouth prime rib. I could've eaten a fourth had it been on my plate. The other diners also seemed to enjoy their meals. A solid sunday night dinner.
They could improve on a few things such as the lighting both in the bathroom and dining room as well as the decor.
This is not a bad little spot to pig out. Portions are huuuuuge.
Before we go there, a little background on how I ended up here: My brother and I were in the south shore and hungry. A quick google search for 'good italian restaurants' in the area landed this place on the list. Upon reading the description, we were sold. Al Capone style prohibition pub with waitresses dressed in black with cool gangster hats! The food is supposed to be good, the prices cheap, lets go!
Well, we drove to the address and it was in a little sort of dingy strip mall. Not at all phased by this, we headed straight in. When walked in it was dimly lit and it took a few seconds for our eyes to adjust. "This fits the description," I thought, "but wait, who is that smiling woman walking towards us? She's not wearing a hat, she looks normal... can she be the waitress?" She was, I was so dissapointed, she wasn't dressed in theme!
We sat in a booth by the bar. It was a high step up from the floor, and the cushioning or springs in the seat had long ago expired. It was a bit uncomfortable sitting on them and then the table ended up too high for the seat (due to the seat being so flat and bumpy).
We ordered some typical food choices. I ordered veal parm, and my brother ordrered some sort of cheesy pasta... like an Alfredo but I don't remember. Either way I remember the portions. They were enormous and didn't taste half bad either! I would def get takeout from this place.
Our waitress was super nice, the food was good, and the portions were inhumanly large, which is good in some ways and bad in others right? I didn't love the inside of this place, but I didn't hate it. My only true dissapointment was on the lack of the theme they are trying to project. So, final verdict: three good humored stars!
We've eaten here twice in the past month. Â The wife loves the pumpkin martinis. Â not my style but the Miller lite's were nice and frosty. Â The shrimp on the shrimp scampi was tough but the linguini and wine sauce was very good. Â Steak tip salad was a winner as well. Â Good bartenders on both trips and decent atmosphere
Review Source:Really good food. Â I used to work nearby and we would have the entire office order for lunch; the calzones and wraps/sandwiches are delicious. Â We recently moved to the area and have had dinner a few times. Â I love the lasagna and steak tips. Â I think the pizza is fantastic although we've yet to do delivery. Â Less a star cause the service has been a miss once or twice.
Review Source:It was a beautiful day out when I stopped in here for lunch. Â Once inside it was incredibly dim. Â It was too dark for my taste unless I was out on some date. Â When heading into the bathroom it was tiny and even less light...
I got a grilled chicken salad that really didn't seem good or bad... and I got a shrimp cocktail that had good sized shrimp, but they only gave me a few of them. Â Overall I paid about 20 bucks with tip for a shrimp cocktail and a grilled chicken salad... I've had better and from reading the reviews it sounds like I shout have gotten the pizza.
Oh well... maybe I'll try them again for the pizza alone. Â God knows it won't be to hang at the bar that only has six stools.
This place is small and cozy..........we sat at the bar....drinks were good...food was OK..........but there were some freaky people at the tiny bar........we like to eat at the bar so we probably won't go back for a while........i think the folks at the bar were the bartenders friends......she seemed to pay a lot more attention to them.............too many good places around than to try and enjoy a meal surrounded by dopes...........
Review Source:I have had two attempts of trying to order delivery from here... I don't recommend this...
After over and hour and twenty minutes the first time I ordered delivered, Â I called to cancel my order, and had my order refunded. I was not impressed with the fact that several people working there called me numerous to check where it was located (on a main road BTW.) This showed a lack on many parts for Capone's for the following reasons:
Lack of training (apparently the numerous individuals who called me were newbies)
Lack of communication (why did I get three calls for the SAME information??)
Anyways, even after this fiasco I decided to give this place a second chance... This time waiting just about an hour. And I have got to say, I have tasted some of the best straight-from-Italy food, and this pizza wasn't worth the wait. For starters the sauce tasted very generic- straight from the can, and the crust was barley crunchy (which being thin crust you would expect it to be.) Anyways... I've learned my lesson.
Last weekend, a friend and i went to the take-out side to order some pizza, and while we were waiting, we walked over to the restaurant side and saddled up to the bar for a quick drink.
The restaurant side was definitely really cozy- dimly lit, not a lot of tables. The bartender was friendly, and she knew A LOT about all of the different wines that they had. She mixed a good drink, and i don't remember it being terribly expensive- maybe $7.50 or 8.00 for a raspberry vodka and sprite?
The pizza was delicious, cooked just right.
Definitely a hidden gem in Weymouth.
I liked this one better than the location in Pembroke. Â It is a small place, but the pizza was tasty. Â They serve some sliced up bread sticks while you are ordering. Â They were so good we skipped on the appetizers. Â The menu had a lot of choices, I ended up going with a meat lovers style pizza. Â They had a lot of creative pizza on the menu, to compliment the standard 'roni, hamburg, peppers, onions, and mushroom toppings. Â If you're on a date don't be afraid to split a small. Â I'm not usually a split a pizza kind of guy, but the small is anything but small.
Review Source:I got the Texas-style Steak & Cheese sandwich (basically a steak and cheese sub with BBQ sauce). Â They made the sub rolls from pizza dough and served it with curly fries - both choices I strongly support. Â It was huge and messy and good. Â And served as a second meal later.
Minus one star because our waitress, despite being super friendly, was kind of flighty. Â She forgot to bring plates for the appetizers, neglected to put our order in and sent someone to re-take it 20 mins. later, and then spaced out again when we asked for extra napkins.
She did give us free cannoli - Â although I'm unsure if this was an apology for her forgetfulness or just restaurant protocol because my boyfriend's parents had told her it was his birthday.
Mmm, mmm, mmm... as much as I don't enjoy having a "prohibition pub" within my own town (the name just seems a little inflammatory, kind of like that "The Gin Mill" place in that town on the way to UMass... it's almost like naming a garden center "My Own Little Ganja Greenhouse" or something in my opinion)
*But* the food is amazing and that's what really counts, eh? Â The calzones are absolutely to die for (and definitely can be shared). Â They basically take a whole pizza and fold it in half and they are crispy on the outside and full of goodness on the inside (I recommend the Buffalo Chicken Calzone) ... no 'franken-chicken' here!
The salads are also very good. Â The Greek Salad is full to the brim and almost certainly can be saved for the next day's lunch.
They offer takeout or dine-in... it's a little strange as there are actually two storefronts, one for the dining room/pub and the other for the takeout. Â The dine-in portion is tastefully decorated, although slightly over the top *and* the lights that hang over the bar completely sit right in the middle of the TV screen.
Takeout part is decorated like your typical pizza joint.
They lose one point for having the bar so big and the seating so little... they also neglect to stop serving that *guy* (you know, that *one* guy in every bar who gets loaded for no apparent reason, hits on the bartender, hits on the old lady in the corner, spouts his life story at full volume), making the dining experience a little less for everyone else, but it sort of comes with the territory I guess.
Overall, a good casual place for a quick bite.
Capone's is located in a strip mall in East Weymouth, MA. Â It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is so cozy and cute on the inside. Â All the waitresses wear black outfits with mobster hats (like al capone). Â The place is decorated in an italian-style theme with dim lights and over-sized booths. Â They have an extensive menu with tons to choose from, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, pasta entrees, and even seafood. Â The martini's are scrumptious. Â My sister and I both enjoyed a meal and a martini and the bill was around 30 dollars. Â They give you focassia bread before the meal that is really tasty. Â The waitstaff is friendly and quick. Â I have only been twice and have been completely satifisied botht times. Â I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Â Five stars!
