Kilroy's Cafe

CLOSED...is now "Yaz'z Place"

This is one of those "It is what it is" type places. Kilroy's is basically a hotel bar that serves basic food and cold beer, with an atmosphere that feels a little Irish, though not all that much. I would give it an extra star (up to four) if I were totally subjective on this, however, because I generally love hotel bars and do like Kilroy's for this reason alone. That, the friendly barstaff, and the great views outside (the Marriott is on the side of a steep hill) do make it an appealing place to me.

They have live bands here, comedy, open mic nights, etc. Full bar and serves food. When they first opened up, they had a fancier menu, but now is more towards "bar food."

Inexpensive. Waitresses and bartenders are quite attentive and friendly. People there are very friendly. You get a mixed crowd. Blue and White collar, 20's-retirees. Lots of plasmas to watch sports.

Private lot and street parking. You can also take the 225 bus here.

Food's fine, but nothing to write home about. I come here for the company and the entertainment.
