Carbone's Pizzeria

We ordered a pizza and pizza fries for delivery, what arrived was a pizza and garlic bread.   We called to ask for the right item to be delivered or a refund and the manager refused.   She acted like the mistake was our fault, and said they were just too busy to send out the right item.  She didn't even offer an apology!    Just terrible customer service, we used to order from this location a lot but won't be ever again.

In general, I LOVE Carbones pizza.
I too am surprised by the negative reviews about this place. Yes, there are video games in the front. Rather than think of it as an old family restaurant I think of it as a throwback to the days when Carbones had full arcades in them.
I HATE frozen pizza with a million flaming passions and I have never had one come from Carbones that tasted like that. And yes, they can be greasy. It's pizza. Thank you kihmlin for dissing our whole country, by the way *eyeroll*
Also I must make it on middle age family day, I never see super old people here. For dine in I definitely picture this as more for families. I know plenty of young hip people who order Carbones for takeout and delivery. If you want to go somewhere "cool" "hip" to hang out in and eat your pizza (lol hipsters) find somewhere else.
i have awesome memories of running around the Apple Valleys location in the 80s, playing Pole Position and Ms. Pacman. And I've always loved their pizza. I had birthday parties there as a kid. As I grew up and moved to the Southside, this became my new go to Carbones. Not as many video games but the do still have a Pacman to play while you wait for your pizza.

I have liked all of their pizzas I've ordered with one exception, the bacon cheeseburger, with the pickles. Now I love pickles on a cheeseburger pizza, but I like them cold, on the top. Here the bake them in with the pizza and it just doesn't quite work. Otherwise it was great, so next time I'll either ask for the pickle slices on the side or forget them altogether and make my own at home.

As for the 2 times of trouble.... once I ordered and showed up 30 min later to pick up and they told me that they had no order for me, and I would have to wait another 30 to make a new pizza.
The next problem came when I called in an order from my moms house (who is literally right around the corner) for me to pick up on my way home. With horror and embarrassment I realized that I didn't have enough cash on me and I didn't have a debit card with me. I stopped in, this was about 5 min after the order, apologized profusely and told them I had to cancel the order. They were fine with it to my face and I left. Later that night my mom called me and told me the manager called her and bitched at her about ordering pizzas she didn't intend on buying. I'm sure that's annoying but it's not like I ordered 29 pizzas... it was a small with canadian bacon.

At any rate, I still love their pizza and I'm glad that I live in their delivery area instead of being just outside of it (looking at you Fat Lorenzo).

Don't listen to the haters. Carbone's pizza is delicious!
