Went in Saturday to buy donuts for my two boys (luckily they stayed home) which were excited about. The older lady behind the counter had nasty attitude and had a fit when I ordered extra donuts and coffee. I lost my appetite at that point and was embarrased because she made comment "If I knew I was going to be doing this all day" infront of other customers. Donuts and prices are good but not worth the attitude and terrible customer service. I understand it's a momma & pappa joint but customers service should always be pleasant.
Review Source:Best donuts anywhere, especially the strawberry pinwheels!
But note it's tough to buy more than a couple of strawberry pinwheels without calling ahead & giving a days notice... you'll get a "look" from the old lady working the counter, she'll give a glance in the back, to the old man (her husband) who's making the donuts, after that, maybe, maybe you'll get the nod of approval "okay" from him... And the old lady will put a few more in.
No matter, if you don't call in ahead of time for extra pinwheels, all the donuts are delicious.
Came here Saturday morning around 7am and there was already a line out the door. The smells in this place are amazing and the donuts looked delicious.
Sat down and ordered pancakes and bacon. Was sad they didn't have b & g but I settled.
The appearance is cute and country-ish, the owners clearly are proud and love their business. Just the two of them so I could tell it gets overwhelming, but they did a good job handling the customers who knew the wait was worth it.
Only complaint- my pancake was not cooked all the way through. The edges were fine and delicious but the entire center was just batter. The gentleman who handed it to me looked too frazzled for me to bother, so I didn't. When he came and got my plate he could tell I had just left the runny batter but didn't comment.
Overall, good place but take your time making pancakes! The rush isn't worth it!
