The patio is amazing, and I love the bar area. The crowd is often business lunches and drinks, so the atmosphere is pretty subdued. I find that service is usually pretty slow, but if you're there for a casual lunch or happy hour, just kick back and relax. Ceres is right across from my work, so I end up there often and usually have a great time.
The food is pricy for what it is, but always good. I love the happy hour specials. Those are a good deal, so if you can swing happy hour timing it's worth the trip.
Came to Ceres Bistro for the first time this past Saturday with my husband and another couple. The restaurant was nice and clean. Â Atmosphere was nice and the staff was very nice. It was very quiet there for a Saturday night. The food was good, nothing to write home about and we were a little disappointed because for the price of the food, we expected it to be better than it was. We could find a more amazing steak elsewhere. It wasn't a bad experience but we don't think we will be going there again. Once and done deal for us.
Review Source:Very good food, but priced as one would expect. Â If you are looking for some great steaks, and are willing to spend $25-$30 per steak, come here. Â
I had the New York Strip, which was amazing. Â The mashed potatoes were wonderfully done as well. Â My friend got the the filet, which she said was perfectly done and very tasty.
Worth a stop in if it is in your price range.
I love the outdoor seating and the indoor is pretty classy too. Excellent food. Healthy options too. Wonderful service, makes dining worthwhile.
Small negative are the prices - I'm a student. Been there three times with my boy friend for my birthday. Will definitely go again. Maybe the nicest dining in Worcester.
This is a neighborhood gem, hidden inside of the Beechwood Hotel adjacent to UMass Memorial. Â Time and again, hotel restaurants are lack-luster, but Ceres was top notch.
We started with Sangria and a Sidecar. Â Both were good, but not great. Â Likely a 4/5 but the food is where they really excelled. Â
My girlfriend and I each ordered the Grassfed 13oz. Rib-eye. Â It is our favorite cut of meat, and there are only a handful of places in MA that you can get the Grassfed. Â The steaks were cooked perfectly. Â We ordered Med-Rare and Med. respectively. Â Served over mashed potatoes with Zucchini, and Chayote (yes the vegetable). Â Not only was the steak remarkable, the potatoes were buttery and garlicky, and the vegetables had good favor too. Â
We finished off with the Sticky Toffee Pudding at our waitresses recommendation (it is not pudding!). Â She made it clear. Â It is a moist caramel/toffee flavored cake with brownie consistency, candied pralines, and fresh whipped cream. It was outrageous.
Service was spot on as well. Â It was a Tuesday night and there were still ~10 tables constantly turning over. Â Food was great, service was great, company was great.
We will be heading back often. Â It is a great alternative to the multitude of Italian restaurants in the area.
OK. It should be like a 2.5 stars...
First, I want to start by saying, my Husband and I enjoy good food, and we have no problem spending money on quality food. My Husband is a food snob, coming from a culinary background in Italy, he has high expectations, which usually leads us to expensive restaurants....
That being said, we were disapointed at the food we received!!! We started out with their Carpaccio Spring Roll which came with 3 rolls for $11. Fine. Not a problem it was just the two of us and the discription sounded lovely. I really enjoyed them because I enjoy Asian flavors but my husband wasnt too keen on them. You couldnt taste anything other than the sauce that was on the inside of the rolls... I ate 2, and he struggled with the one.
Then we moved onto our Entrees... I ordered the Soy & Ginger Salmon with Wasabe Risotto. After eating the spring rolls I expected this to be full of flavor!!!! The Salmon was cooked PERFECTLY!! I must say, it was a very fresh piece of fish and you could not have cooked it any better. HOWEVER, I did not taste any soy or ginger, and the wasabe risotto was also pretty flavorless. It was again cooked well but the whole dish was very boring and I could have used some soy sauce or something to add to it because it was just BLAND!
Then, my Husband, being the predictable Italian that he is, ordered the Saffron Parpedelle with Crab. Brussle Sprouts and Applewood smoked bacon. Â Now, for those of you that do not know, Saffron is a very expensive spice and can stand on its own as far as flavors go. This dish was SWIMMING in bacon! You could not taste ANYTHING other than BACON! It was bacon infused crab, pasta and, well BACON! I have NEVER, EVER, seen my husband NOT finish a bowl of pasta. I was shocked when he didnt eat more than one quarter of the dish. Lets just say, MAJOR Let down!
POSITIVE: One thing we really enjoyed was the complimentary filtered water that they bring to the table. It was crisp and cool and we drank like 3 bottles of it. We loved the atmosphere and the patio just looks so inviting come summer time. We agreed that if we go back, it would be summer time for a burger and drinks on the patio but that is about it.
When you are spending $30 a plate, you expecte perfection, not sub-par. I would have rather gone to TGIFridays and grabed something to eat and saved $50 but lesson learned. Next time we go it will be for the atmosphere and beverages and a burger.
Sorry Ceres... I was hoping for much more... Maybe you should look into new chefs, or even a new menu....
The Mr. and I really want to like this place. The food is ok, but not worth the price. We've had better success at lunch. The cream of mushroom soup with pork belly is probably my favorite savory dish, but they don't always have it. While the soup is really delicious, there's a problem when the soup outshines the actual entrees. I see the effort, but it somehow just misses the mark. What brought us back was their sticky toffee pudding dessert. I'm not a even a dessert person, but I basically went back just for that. We got the Groupon and dined here last week and were again disappointed with our meals. The pudding was still awesome though, so at least we enjoyed what we came for!! It's not an actual pudding but more like a cake bathed in toffee sauce - definitely worth trying! The ambience is nice inside and outside on warmer days. I just wish the quality of their dishes reflected the ambience. From now on, we'll pass on the entrees and just come here if we feel like treating ourselves to dessert and cappuccino!
Review Source:I wanted to like this place, but after my fourth bad experience there I have to say that I will not be returning. I went to Ceres for lunch when they first opened and had the most horrible service. The restaurant is large, but there were only two or three other tables sat and at least twice as many servers as guests. Â It took 20 minutes for us to be greeted and another 15 for our drinks to come out. We were hungry and at this point also in somewhat of a hurry, but our waiter went missing. We ended up (finally) ordering a salad and sandwich to share and they were both sub-par. The salad was supposed to have fresh seasonal vegetables and shrimp, but the only vegetables on it were "roasted red peppers" that without a doubt came from a can. Â Since this was right when they opened, I figured I would give them another shot... Much to my surprise, they went downhill from that experience.
I went to Ceres a couple months ago with a friend who was taking me out to celebrate some good news. It was later in the evening, so we sat at the bar. Â I am not exaggerating when I say that this male bartender was the rudest person I have ever encountered. I don't know if he hates his job or hates his life, but he was miserable. Our drinks were thrown onto the bar and our food was served with no silverware. He was behind the bar (which is quite small) and it still took him well over 5 minutes to get us silverware. Â His back was turned the entire time, and he was on his cell phone. Â When I politely said "excuse me?" to ask for silverware, he turned around and barked "WHAT!?" at us. By this point, our food was cold and our experience was spoiled. The worst part of the night was when it room him another 20 minutes to clear our plates and glasses and bring us the check. I was never more excited to leave a place. Â I was going to review Ceres then, but I was so baffled by his rudeness that I didn't even want to waste my energy.
Being a believer in second (and third, and fourth) chances, I went to Ceres again recently. Â We sat at the bar again (different bartender!) but still had a less-than-impressive experience. The restaurant was pretty empty, yet it took a long time for the bartender to acknowledge us. Â When she finally did, she took our appetizer order and snatched up the menus before we could say that we would be ordering dinner as well. Â I asked for a glass of water and to see the menu again, and both requests were ignored. Â Shortly later, the bartender had her coat on and was walking toward the door. As she left, I heard her telling the other bartender that our orders were in and that we were all set. Â I tried to get her attention but was ignored. Needless to say, the other bartender didn't acknowledge us once.
When our food did come out, it was incredibly disappointing. We ordered oysters on the half shell and they looked like they were shucked with a staple remover. There were sharp fragments of shell in all of them, and they had a foul, fishy odor. Â We also ordered another appetizer which came out cold and soggy, and also in the larger size (we asked for the small). The kicker was a burger appetizer that we ordered-- the bartender didn't ask how we wanted it cooked, but typically anything medium rare to medium well is fine with me. Â I cut the burger in half and soggy bright pink raw hamburg stuck to the knife. I touched it, and it was as cold as ice. It was completely raw and cold to the touch. During all of this, not a single person came over to refill our drinks or check on the food. Â Based solely off the deplorable service, I would not return.
In addition to the lousy service, I find the atmosphere (at least in the bar area) to be tacky and uncomfortable. They have a light-up bar that looks like it belongs as a strip-club stage, and stained, tattered menus that you can't read against the bar because they are light in color and the bar light beams through them. It is also stale and incredibly quiet. Instead of enjoying my conversation, I got to listen to the servers talk about their party plans for the weekend and overhear the cologne drenched business men at the table behind us talking about their "girls on the side.". The whole place is over-rated, over-priced, and super sleazy. Â
I can deal with sub-par food, as long as the servers and bartenders are working hard. Â There has to be a management problem or serious employee resentment going on because the entire staff is miserable. Â I literally gave the mailman a $100 gift card that I had to here today because I refuse to go back and nobody else I know wanted it. Â I warned him about our experiences, but I'm hoping he enjoys himself a little more than we did.
My fiancee and I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. We went on a Thursday night around 6:00pm. The place was not busy at all. But we still stayed and gave it a try. My fiancee ordered the Portuguese fish stew which he says was very heavily  spiced. You could not taste any of the seafood that was in it including scallops, shrimp or fish.  And at $30.00 for the meal it was very disappointing. I ordered the filet which was also $30.00. I asked for it to be cooked medium. When it came out the middle was cooked medium but the outside of it was burnt.  My meal was extremely small also. I left there still hungry. We did not enjoy our experience at all and the prices are very expensive considering the food is not good. On our way out we over heard another waitress telling one of her tables the specials for the night. Funny because we were never told any specials???
I also did go on to their website and wrote to the owner/manager about my experience and was never contacted so that just shows me that they could care less. I would never return here and would not recommended this place to anyone!!!!
Restaurant was hot, humid and stuffy.
Food was pretty average, however the prices were not (very expensive!)
Their outdoor seating looks incredible - however since it was raining out earlier we sat inside.
Not sure what sets them apart in the food area, all pretty standard items.
Ordered the steak frites, asked for medium rare, got closer to medium well.
eh..not sure I will ever return.
4.5 stars! Outdoor seating for dining-- best in Worcester, maybe?
The outdoor seating area is impressive and relaxing, and the indoor is classy too. Never needed to make a reservation (which makes me kind of sad).
I have been a few times; each time, excellent food. Healthy tasty options, like the Salmon with greens and asparagus.
Really good service brining really good bread/oil/balsamic.
Why not 5 stars? It's a little too expensive (for me, a student). No cheap side salads-- if you add a side salad and a glass of wine to your meal, you're spending $40 tonight, although dinner entrees are fairly priced in the $20s (and I usually make a meal and a half out of it).
Went here for lunch, drawn in by their claim to serve fresh seasonal foods. Â They did not disappoint. Â We just had sandwiches, but they were excellent, and served with veggie chips. Â It is ever so slightly more expensive than a typical casual lunch place, but the food is of the highest quality, and not pretentious at all.
Will definitely be trying Ceres for dinner, perhaps in the Summer when more food is in season!
I went here for brunch last week and can't wait to go back! We had the Belgian waffles with blueberries and caramel, and the cheese and charcuterie. Both were delicious. The waffles were buttery and light and fluffy so good! and the caramel was a great touch. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made good cheese recommendations.
They have a happy hour daily 4-7pm with $6 bar menu- and the menu is extensive! I can't wait to sit out on the patio with a burger and listen to the jazz.
Honestly, I was disappointed. While not outrageously expensive, it was pricey; and I expected more for what we paid. I actually liked the setting and booths and bar; and beautiful touches like the antique stained glass ceiling. Our waitress was helpful and very nice, and the desserts (and raw oyster appetizers) were excellent.
The entrees, though, left a LOT to be desired. For a place that advertises itself as locally sourced, fresh, farm-to-table, etc., I was extremely disappointed that the shrimp had a distinct bleach taste, meaning that they'd been chemically treated with chlorine to "preserve freshness." Obviously, I didn't expect the shrimp to be sourced from central Mass, but I did expect better quality seafood. Also, the risotto was undercooked and crunchy. Again, I expected better.
I went for lunch with my mom and sister and the food was very good. The service started out a little rocky but our server made up for it. My mom found a piece of plastic in her wrap and the server and manager (?) were very responsive and apologetic. They comped the meal and even offered a 10 dollar gift card. The plastic was disappointing but the service more than made up for it. We'll be back! Â
Definitely go for the sparkling water!
Had a gift card and heard good things about Ceres. Â Well..... the decor and lighting were excelent. Â The food was pretty good. Wife got the salmon and said it was excellent, very large portion size and steaming hot. Â I got the 8oz filet, ordered it medium and it was medium well, VERY small portion of sides for the price. As for the service, VERY VERY slow. Â My thoughts, pricey for Worcester and unless they get better servers probably won't be going back.
Review Source:Spent Easter 2012 here - a MUCH improved experience over the debacle at Lucciano's Cotton Club/Maxwell Silvermans disgusting buffet in 2011. They ran a prix fixe meal for $33 that had a decent selection of entrees. I went with the roasted turkey breast with peppercorn sauce that was served with a risotto. The turkey was delicious, but the risotto could have been better. The appetizer was a panzanella that was decent. The highlight was actually dessert which may have been the best carrot cake of my life. Overall food was a 4 star experience with only  the risotto being disappointing.
Decor is nice. It was quiet, spacious and not too crowded. The server was great too and had the perfect balance of being attentive without being intrusive. I'd go back anytime.
This past week was Restaurant Week in Worcester. Many of the most popular restaurants participate and I often try a few of them. This time I picked Ceres Bistro. I have been before but management has changed and I have heard mixed reviews mainly focused on the service.
I called for a reservation thinking it would be packed. Much to my surprise when we arrived at 7:00 it was about 30% capacity. They seemed to have lost my reservation and seemed flustered that they couldn't find it. Thankfully it wasn't a problem and they agreed to seat us.
Anyone who has dined out with me knows that my biggest pet peeve is being seated at the kitchen or bathroom door when there are seats available away from those high traffic areas. Well Of course that is where they wanted to seat us. I asked to be relocated immediately.
Our second table was in the Club Room. It is a small room off to the side of the main dining room and was nicely decorated and very intimate. The large sliding doors were open to the outside patio and with the weather unseasonable warm it was delightful to enjoy the fresh air.
However, the first thing I noticed when we were seated was that my dining partner's water glass had lipstick on it. Additionally, the table cloth while appearing to have been cleaned had a large very visible stain. I also noticed throughout the course of our meal that several of the white plates were chipped.
Our waiter was friendly but seemed to be new to the profession. He failed to bring us bread and oil without being asked and never actually brought the oil. He also brought a beer without a glass and brought me lemon's instead of limes as I had requested. When I asked for the limes I was told they were out. Really a restaurant ran out of limes on a Friday night during restaurant week.
Now to the food. Both my dinner partner and I decided to order from the restaurant week menu. For an appetizer I selected the Count Neck Clams. There were 4 clams and they were tasty and tender. The Narragansett larger broth was very flavorful and was a nice compliment.
My dining partner had the Baby Arugula Salad and I will admit I had to try it. It was perfectly dressed in a sweet onion poppy seed dressing and the candied orange peels, pecans, and goat cheese was exceptional compliment to the fresh and crisp greens.
We both selected the same entrée a Heart of Sirloin served with mashed Yukon gold potatoes and fresh vegetables. The sirloin was tender and melted in my mouth. It was cooked perfectly to temperature and had just the right amount of sear to keep it juicy. The potatoes were rich and buttery and complimented the fresh vegetables which were perfectly al dente.
For desert we chose differently to sample each others. I selected the Panna Cotta Duo with pistachio and vanilla honey panna cotta. Â The panna cotta was rich and creamy and so smooth. The flavors were perfectly balanced and for me a perfect end to a great meal. My dining partner had the Toasted Marshmallow and Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding served with vanilla bean gelato and cherry reduction. The bread pudding was fresh and light and the chocolate was rich and creamy the ice cream was soft and refreshing.
I would return again for the food but as nice as the waiter was I hope I get a different one or I hope he learns the trade and perfects his skills.
Ceres is a fantastic option for upscale dining in Worcester. Â I previously attended during restaurant week, and my one complaint would be that the food seemed as though it was prepared in large quantities, rather than specific for my order. Â This seems to be increasingly common for restaurant weeks, so I won't hold it against Ceres. Â It's a strange location, with the hospital/medical school in the background, but very easy to get to with ample parking, unlike many Shrewsbury Street restaurants. Â It's definitely worth the money, and I look forward to returning.
Review Source:I wanted to love this place. I've eaten here each time I've stayed at the Beechwood, mainly because it's a food desert outside if you don't have a car, and why go outside when it's cold? Â
While the food is done well, it is definitely not cheap. This is food made for an expense budget. Â You know, the one where you eat the free hotel breakfast, scarf down a sandwich for lunch, and blow it all on dinner.
It's never been busy in here the three times I've had dinner here, and breakfast is definitely never busy either (the continental setup that comes with the Beechwood stay is ok; I've not tried the other made-to-order items). Â In fact, I've been here for dinner twice where I was the only guest having dinner - and it was dinnertime. Â
Odd, I tell you.
I was greeted by a disengaged hostess who was not to be found until 2 minutes in the door. She then seated us in the coziest little booth around: meaning nowhere to put my coat except to leave it on or squeeze it next to me and the wall. The pomona martini was delicious and their "pure sparkling water" was bottomless so I never had to ask for my glass refilled. The bread was obviously previously frozen because when it came to our table the outside was warm but the inside was crystalized and rock hard. Now on to the meal: when you hear bistro do u think rustic flavors and simple delicious meals? Well don't expect it here. I ordered a hanger steak with asparagus which had their own sauces. I never got a steak knife or the sauce for my asparagus, nor was I asked how I like my steak cooked. I received it medium rare as expected but it was literally 5 medallions worth, a mere 1/10 of my plate. For $24 you expect to be satiated from your meal. I was left hungry for more. The spinach salad was delicious by the way especially if you're a bacon fan.
Now let's discuss another piece of steak my boyfriend had. The New York strip had too much grizzle around the edges and not worth the $30 which after removing grizzle amounted to an 8 oz steak. It was also cooked well done after being asked for medium. Just request the meat on the raw side to get what you want apprently. Now here is the kicker: I loved my service but it won't make up for my dissappointment in the quality and quantity of the food. My server took my distaste personally and gave me half of my receipt. Literally ripped half of my receipt and presented it to me because my assumption is that the bottom contained a survey. I had no interest in returning so the survey would have never been filled but the fact that she ripped it made me think she thought I was stupid enough to not notice. Anywho - don't waste your money on small portions that won't even satisfy your taste buds.
I just do not understand the appeal of this place. The decor is very nice. I love the filtered bottled water left on the table. The lunch sandwiches special is nice. Those are all the highlights.
I got the seafood gapazabo. It was a cold soup that tasted like spicy salsa mix. It really had no flavor. And the crab was tiny, almost non existent pieces. I would not recommend.
The rolls this time was hard and not good.
The ceasar salad was bland. The croutons were small and hard.
The prices are watt to high.
So what happened? Â This ain't the same place. Â The food is good, yet the service - be serious. Â The second to last time I was there, it was not a prime time, the traffic low and the wait staff behaved as if we were bothering them and couldn't wait for us to leave. Â The last time - I sat at the bar and the bartender didn't seem to care if we were there or not. Â I can forgive a bad meal once in a while, stoves are temperamental - but not caring about your customers - I'm sorry. That don't work for me!
Review Source:Loved the decor, most especially the glowing bar top. The drinks were really good. This review is based on drinks alone as I did not have food. However, my friends did and all seemed to really enjoy their meals. The bartender was good, and quick. It was packed my second time in here and he seemed to handle it very well. I was only @ Ceres due to staying in the hotel, so I don't know when I will be back (as I do not live in the Worcester area) but would be happy to return as the hotel was great as well.
Review Source:Ended Fathers Day with some appetizers and bubbly... This restaurant has been recommend by friends. We studied the menu, impressive wine list. Nicely executed lobster rolls, clean gazpacho and good oysters. Â Definitely coming back to try dinner. Â It's pricey and I'm not sure yet if the cuisine merits the charge. We definitely will go back with the picky 10 year old, and then I will revisit my review... Be warned - its pricey. And with other interesting options nearby on Shrewsbury Street, We shall see!
Review Source:Took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and had a fantastic time.
We split oysters for an app. Delish.
He got the duck and I got the shortribs. Both dishes were insanely good. The shortribs were so tender and well seasoned. The portion was perfect-- i had enough to take home and raid the for a midnight snack. The duck was also nice. I particularly thought the stuffing with it was fantastic-- for someone who doesn't particularly like sweet stuff, i gobbled that apple cidery goodness down.
The service was also fantastic. Attentive and friendly. We never waited for our server to check in with us.
The prices for such good quality food and service are really a steal. I'm excited to go back and eat (and drink) some more!
We decided that Worcester's Restaurant Week was a perfect chance to try Ceres and I'm so glad we did!
The atmosphere is lovely here. Comfortable seating, perfect dinner lighting, and modern decor. Service was attentive.
We started with the mussels, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The portion was quite large for a first course. The broth was also perfect for dipping bread into. I did have one sandy mussel, but other than that, an excellent start to the meal.
For our main courses I had the butternut squash risotto, topped with spinach and black truffle. It was delicious and filling - perfect comfort food! The husband had lamb medallions. They were tender and delicious.
We split both of the dessert choices - a rich, decadent chocolate parfait and a pumpkin bread pudding that brought me right back to Thanksgiving.
We loved Ceres and hope to visit again!
Beautiful- friendly but not  delicious-
very small portions, some not done well, a facade- looks  good  but food  does not equal setting. For ex. Steak  good --scallops  not close to being done  with care. Pumpkin desert  terrible Drinks very good-
waitress  not that interested- dull food is good description
Ceres is in no way a "five star as good as it gets restaurant." Â It's OK, but not much better. Â Can't say I am a fan.
Had the tuna yesterday which was prepared rare as I requested. Â Fresh, but didn't have much flavor. Â Peppercorn coating was rather dull and the garnishes bland. Â
Service was rather slow especially since there were 5 waiters just standing around talking to each other for most of the evening.
I might give it a try next time I am in town.
Elegant restaurant -- like most new bistros these days it is a bit loud. And the bar area is definitely too loud with less than soothing rock music. Hey, I want to chat while I sip. I also don't want to watch a ball game in an elegant bar. I complained about the noise but the self important manager blew me off.
As far as the restaurant, we had some wonderful braised short ribs -- tasty and fell off the bone. Wine list was pretty good, but pacing of drinks and wine needs work.
In a recent trip I made to New England I had to spend 1 night in Worcester I arrived at the Hotel pretty late and Thank God Ceres was still open because I was starving, I think they serve food till around Midnight or 1am.. Â I sat at the bar and loved the modern decor and how the whole bar was lit up all white very classy... Â The Bartender was very cute and friendly as was the servers.. Â I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was 1 of the best I have ever had it came with Veggie Chips that were also very good I gave it 4 stars because the late night menu was limited I would have liked to try something a lil more upscale... Â If I am ever back in Worcester I would def check this place out again...

Time: 9:15pm
The first 2 things I noticed were a place with WONDERFUL AMBIANCE and an IMPRESSIVE WINE LIST. I'm a wine enthusiast and I could tell the wines were all FAIR-PRICED.
My server was JEREMY. I ordered a bottle of Stag's Leap Merlot from him. He was very WELL-TRAINED (serving a bottle of wine properly), KNOWLEDGEABLE (about wines, about specials of the night, about opening hours), EXPERIENCED and THOUGHTFUL (He offered the use of a decanter for my wine. He offered to walk me to the rest room when I needed it). I was impressed by the service. I was told that it was restaurant week, so I then ordered a 3-course set dinner, which cost only $22.10.
Bistro Salad:
It took me by surprise. The set dinner's salad was not carelessly tossed. The dressing did not overpower the flavors of the vege/walnuts/gorgonzola, but actually complemented them. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were harmonious.
Onion Soup:
I was expecting a salty one, and I was wrong. The soup was not over-salted, but was in fact brimming with the freshness and natural sweetness of onions. None of the onion showed any sign of burnt surface, indicating that they were not overcooked at the bottom of the pot when the soup was being made.
Bistro Chicken:
The chicken lacked a bit of flavors, but a little table salt solved the issue. Nevertheless, the texture was perfect - with a slightly crispy skin and tender inside. The same goes with the finger-potatoes, which were delicious.
The buns were hot when served. And there was no excessive waiting time between courses, even though it was a busy Friday night. Timing was well-managed.
The whole TEAM is doing a great job here - a true 5-star experience with a reasonable price. This is the place to bring your date to.
They get 5 stars after we went this past Friday evening...everything was as good as it gets for the Worcester area and a nice addition to the dining scene. Â For an appetizer we got the fried squid, with soy sauce and peppers. Â The squid was cooked perfectly and had some nice flavor.
The nice thing about dining here is that they offer half portions for some of their entrees. Â I went with the half portion of pan seared sea bass. Â It was also cooked nicely, and the skin had a nice crispness to it. Â This was served over a blue cheese risotto and broccoli rabe. Â Perfect. Â My girlfriend got the pinot noir braised short ribs - half portion - and she said they were phenomenal. Â I gave it a taste and I agreed. Â
Everything we ate tasted fresh, was cooked perfectly, and was artfully presented. Â Overall, an excellent experience and we will definitely be going back.
