Upon entering the restaurant around 2.00pm we received no greeting from the hostess only her holding up two fingers and escorting us to a table without a single word. The waitress didn't introduce herself, didn't make any effort at small talk, didn't recommend drinks, didn't mention any of the specials and the place was dead! Â Frankly, she seemed annoyed we only ordered water but if she'd taken the time to let me know what they had on draft I would have easily bought 3-4 drinks. She asked us within a minute if we were ready to order and we said she needed a couple minutes... still she made no suggestions than disappeared for about 8-10 minutes. When we finally ordered a simple sandwich and a burger we waited over 25 minutes for our food to come out when we could clearly see it sitting in the window. Finally, a manager came over to run the food he was the more pleasant employee we encountered the entire visit. Upon receiving the food, my buffalo chicken sandwich was good and my friends burger was definitely not medium- rare but it was enjoyable. Yet, no two- bite check back from the waitress not question of is everything alright? No apology or explanation of why the food took so long or why she was gone for 15 + minutes. No mention of dessert or offer for a box, we had to ask for both. She also dropped off the check without a single word... having worked as a waitress myself I could tell she was rolling silverware at the time but her focus should really be on her table. The table next to us also spent about 5 minutes trying to flag down a different server for their check when we could clearly see them gossiping at the host stand. Having worked in restaurants, I know there are things that are not the servers fault but unpleasant service and inattention to tables is.
Review Source:Have been here a few times with the BF to have a drink or two and watch a sporting event...
Last time we did dinner however and the service was sub-par...it took awhile to get acknowledged to be seated and then after specifically telling the hostess we were watching the game, she sat us in an awkward place for TV viewing. When my boyfriend asked if we could move to a different table that needed a quick bussing, she tried everything to not get us to sit there, finally saying "Um, can't you just sit at that one?". She looked almost pained when we said we preferred the other one, but we stood our ground because we wanted a good view of the game. After that, it took quite a long time for someone to check in with us and bring us water (a huge pet peeve of mine), which put me off for the rest of the service.
Other than that, the food was pretty tasty and when we finally did get a waitress she was very friendly. I'll go here again, but only for convenience.
Went here for a pre-movie drink with the bf...it's a shame that such a lackluster, sub-par restaurant is taking up prime space in the mall. We sat at the bar with more than enough time to sip on a beer...or so we thought. We waited so long for a bartender that we ended up practically chugging our drinks! The couple sitting next to us had the same plan (pre-movie dinner) and had been waiting a long time for their food as well. Good service means a lot to me, and honestly good service can overcome a lot of restaurant faults. Bad service almost always means I will not give you a second chance...
