We went to the Chatterbox Pb last night - and will not be returning. Â It was relatively quiet there when we arrived, and our server was perfectly pleasant. Â But two out of three of the dishes we ordered arrived missing a critical component described on the menu. Â The fries on the side of my burger also arrived too cold to be tasty. Â Problems with the food alone wouldn't have been a huge deal for me if ANYONE had come by to check on us in the 30+ minutes we had food in front of us. Â Instead we ran out of drinks, and shared the one edible dish (the mac & cheese, which is massive and legitimately tasty) while the rest of the food got even colder, waiting for the missing pieces that would have made them edible. Â
I don't know why the service was so bad. Â It's a massive restaurant with a lot of difficult-to-see nooks. Â Maybe it's the way they run the food or a lack of adequate staffing? Â Our server's only job was apparently to take our initial order. Â Everything else was brought to our table by an assortment of people. Â That can work great, if the wait staff follow up with a quick, "how is everything?" Â But when that comes more than half an hour after the food comes - and they don't even notice your empty glasses and ask you need anything else - it just makes for an incredible disappointing dining experience.
I came here for the first time tonight and I absolutely did not like it. The food came out cold and the waitress needs a few tips on how to be polite to paying customers. Gave a list of beers and only had 1/3 of them in house.
Also, it took 20 minutes to get a soda and the waitress never came back to check on us.
Very disappointing.
Chatterbox Pub's entrance door perhaps is  a portal to another world. A world of fun board games, gaming consoles with games from 90s, fancy ambiance and yes some very nice food. Its an especially great place to take your kids and do try to let them beat you at least once in a game of connect4.
Furthermore if you are planning a trip to this restaurant, try to check groupon, crowdcut or livingsocialdeals website for coupons. They usually have a deal going on a lot of times.
A shout out to the servers for being servers for being exceptionally cool at this place. I have been to this restaurant several times and have always been content with the service.
Plan for being there some extra time just in case the Game of Life takes a little longer to finish :-)
