So this is your typical chain restaurant.  I went there with four other people.  Apparently the catfish is good.  The philly cheese steak was nothing special at all.  I found it rather bland with tons of mushrooms and hardly any onions or peppers.  One of the burgers was served medium rare and had to be sent back, even though their menu says they are grilled to medium well or well done.  The strawberry lemonade was very good though.  With all the different casual restaurants like this in the area i probably won't be going back any time soon.

We had a mix up with one of our orders and we got it free because it was so late. The staff was apologetic and gracious.

Decent place to grab a bite; just a normal ol' chain restaurant with decent food... pretty ho hum.

Service has been hit and miss the times I have been.

Worst service ever.  I am shocked at how bad it was.  Wow!

we stopped at Cheddar's on the way home from Chicago. mom and i both got the spaghetti lasagna. it was OK. basically spaghetti backed with cheese covered in a nasty marinara. the service could be better. the waitress was more worried about her coworkers than customers paying her salary. probably will not be back.

I'd disagree with Fannie; this is a prime location, right off of I-55.

This is a generic chain restaurant, and doesn't serve anything deeper than chicken strips, ribs, and pasta.

They used to serve this awesome pasta dish that had both alfredo and marinara sauce on it, then was baked, but since they took it off, I'm finding the menu is smaller and smaller each time I visit.

Their chicken strips are huge and are breaded in a soft batter, similar to Long John Silvers.  I definitely prefer it to conventional crunchy batter.

Huge servings, too.  You may get by sharing one plate.

If you're looking for American food during your travel through Springfield, I'd wait until you got to Cracker Barrel instead (a little farther down on I-55).

For a midpriced chain restaurant it is pretty good.  Large portions and the servers were all very friendly.  This is a good option if you are traveling through the area and want to take a break.  Everyone in our 5 person group ordered something different and everyone was happy with their food.

For what it is, typical chain restaurant, its really good food. I ALWAYS get the honey mustard chicken and mushrooms. It is SO yummy. They have a friedly staff, clean facilities and you don't feel piled on top of each other. Not a bad choice if you don't want to pay high prices and wait too long for a good meal.
