So i'm sitting there enjoying a nice cool adult beverage when out of nowhere a (((loud)) horn sounded. Scared the Sh*t out of me! You guessed it... A Red Wing Score!!!!
There are a hundred flat screens to watch the game. I watch parts of the game on every one! Okay...I made that last part up :/
Just another sports bar franchise ...
We were happy to try out a nearby Chelis and not have the drive downtown or to Dearborn.  Next time we'll skip this location and just go  downtown where we are certain to have a good time.
This location is separate and has no management association with the other 2 Chelis.
We had a problem with our bill, and I am sure than a more professional organization would of handled it better. Â The manager on duty never approached our table to help resolve the situation. Â The server, who did a great job with our party of 8, was left to handle the problem...which was not even her fault. Â After an OK meal, nothing really special about the food, we left not so happy. Â Did get a phone call a couple days later and was promised coupons...but never received them.
This Chelis has the TVs and hockey memorabilia about and probably is a good place to watch a Wings game.
As a die-hard Red Wings fan, I really want to love this place, but........ Â My friend and I went here to lunch, thinking it would be a nice, local change. Â The place was DEAD, which can be a good thing, if you're looking for a nice quiet place to talk, but the waitstaff were nowhere to be found. Â Finally, a waiter off-handedly showed us to a table and dropped menus on the table. Â After a couple minutes, a waitress showed up and asked for our drink orders, and brought them pretty promptly. Â However, every time my friend took a couple sips of her pop, the waitress took it away to refill, then brought a pitcher to refill my water......kinda weird. Â After several "ignores" she took our order......and the wait began. Â We ended up waiting for WAY TOO LONG! Â I ordered their signature chicken balls with Thai chili sauce, and was given the stink-eye several times when I refused ranch (really, ranch with Thai chili sauce?) and my friend ordered the lunch special fajita wrap. Â The chicken balls were actually delicious, but my friend got the chicken caesar wrap, and asked for a side salad along with her fries. Â When we FINALLY got the bill, the side salad ended up costing her more than the chicken wrap. Â We also discovered that the waitress had taken our check to the wrong table.
Good food, terrible service. Â Maybe it deserves another go during a game....at least people might actually be there.
Don't have tickets to the big game? Â Can't watch the game because your cable provider doesn't offer Versus? Â It happens. Â Head to Cheli's! Â This is the best place to watch the game next to Joevision. Â They have copious amounts of TV's. Â No matter where you sit, you will see the game. Â I have watched a few Red Wing's playoff games here and the atmosphere is similar to being at the Joe. Â The crowd chants and an air horn sounds after each goal. Â It is a lot of fun. Â The food is good, too.
