Beer selection: decent
Decor: recently updated, and much better than what it was before.
Staff: Hit or miss. Â Been here a couple of times now, and you either get someone who knows what they're talking about, can discuss food and beer options...or you get someone who stops dead like rainman counting scattered toothpicks, gets the look of a scared deer in the headlights, and starts hair-twirling as if that will somehow conjure an answer into their heads out of thin air. Â If you have questions about anything, go to the bar. Â That's your best bet.
Food: tried several of the appetizers and a couple sandwiches over the course of a few stops. Â Nothing's been terrible, but nothing's blown my doors off, either.
To be fair, I did not have overly high expectations going in. Â I ordered the chicken and dumpling soup, broasted chicken and mashed potatoes. Â The soup was most likely from a can. Â While I ordered two pieces of chicken, only one piece had meat on its bones. Â The mashed potatoes initially had gravy on it, which was not a huge deal. Â I mentioned the mistake to my waitress who came back with a non-gravy plate. Â When I tried to eat the new mashed potatoes, they were literally cold to the touch. Â Moreover, our waitress did not seem to know how to react half of the time. Â I assure you, I could not have been nicer in terms of addressing my concerns; however, she seemed overly unapologetic. Â
I would not go back for the food ever again. Â Poor value, below average service.
Ordered shepherd pie, gravy super salty from can, meat ground from their burger meat, veggies had no taste, and mashed potatoes from box. Not good. Had sliders, tough meat. Beer was ok. First time there, bad impression of food, bad impression of staff. Food needs work. One waitress was brushing her hair with her hands then taking the food, other was eating fries at bar area. Place needs work, will not go back.
