I was in town to dogsit for my mother, and had another of my calzone cravings, so after a quick search i decided to try this place.bad idea.
Calzone came to about 9 bucks and some change, pretty average price.
I go to pick it up and spend 5 minutes waiting on the counter clerk to sort out an issue with a delivery driver. Then get my food and get out. The thing was barely the size of a burger, it was coated in garlic and salt heavy spice mixture thats better suited for things like cheesesticks and frankly underfilled as well. Long and short is its mediocre for top notch price. Didnt try their pizza, its doubtful i will

2nd time to chicho's. 1st time was great but this was outside of football season. Today we recommended this place to 4 of our friends. Upon entry the tables were dirty but the place was half full. Then I noticed why. All 3 severs were watching the games. We were hard pressed to get drinks in a 10 minute time span. Food was ok. But I will not be back during football season. And I advise you don't either.

I tried the pepperoni pizza with spicy sauce. I must say that this is some of the best pizza I've had outside NY. Glad I tried it thanks to yelp.

Best pizza around and very inexpensive. Good place for a family dinner, game day or just hang out for a drink. Spicy pizza sauce highly recommended!

The pizza is good. They have made some new changes, which I hope will stay around. We normally go at Food Times, not the bar times. So I have never been when it has been so packed I can't get through the door. The pizza, burgers and wings are good. Typical bar food. If they are having a band, keep in mind you won't be able to hear yourself think, so don't try to.
I hope they do something about the bathrooms. Since the remodel, I have not liked the changes to the bathroom.
I enjoy the food and atmosphere, but I would never go during their prime bar hours.

It was pretty good, but not somewhere I'd go all the time. The sausage on the pizza was weird, but we got it with the spicy sauce which was excellent. I do like the pizza specials though! We also got the loaded fries and those were pretty amazing.

It's definitely one of the better pizza options in the area. I recommend their spicy sauce, otherwise it can be a bit generic. It's a little pricier than the big chains if you buy at menu price, so make sure to look out for their carry out specials, and certain day of the week specials.

I walked into this place and pretty much walked right back out of it. I am way too old for a bar like this these days, filled with drunken college kids playing beer pong over loud, thumping hip hop beats. It was just way too crowded, the floor was way too sticky and the music was way too loud for me. Now, five years ago I would have been all over this place but it's just not my scene anymore - I would like to actually be able to hear the person next to me if at all possible.

The only employee I interacted with was the door guy who was checking IDs and he was nice enough. I couldn't even get to the bar to order a drink nor did I want to stay long enough to drink one.

I was of course skeptical when my lil sis said that the pizza here was good.  I'm a city boy, and I've found it fairly safe to say that you can't find good pizza in the country.  Now with that being said, the pizza here is far from phenomenal, but it's much better than most of your other options.

The restaurant has a separated dining room that converts to a lounge/bar after 10pm.  You can find people playing some type of bean bag game, board games, etc.  The bar area is dimly lit, the music is loud and the crowd seems to be loyal.

The pizzeria side is what you would expect to find.  Large stainless steel pizza ovens, wood counter-tops, a few stools to sit on while you wait for your pizza, etc.  The area is small and really not meant to dine in but if you're just grabbing a slice then the stools can accommodate.

I ordered a large cheese here with the sweet sauce.  The total came to $8.28.  Now the large is a medium in my opinion, but the price reflects that.  The crust was a little too large and chewy, but the sauce and the pie portion were good.  I would not hesitate to come back and order another "large" but I think I'll splurge and get the extra large instead.

They close at 2am most nights--including Sunday.

    Interesting...

This is a pale imitation of the original Chicho's Surf Bar / Pizzeria that originates from the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Chicho's has always been known for their pizza with spicy sauce.  I've been a customer there for over 15 years.

Over the last couple of years the owners have been franchising units out to less than stellar results. This is one of them. I've had lunch and dinner at this location a few times (it's close to work) and the food has been 'fair to decent' during those visits. However the service leaves a lot to be desired as most of the employee's have nothing but attitude. There's no sense of urgency or even decent customer service. I've also never seen the same employee in there twice. Maybe it's just not a good place to work.

If you're going to give them a try, I would suggest carry out or delivery. Don't bother dining inside.
