Located inside the Parx Casino, this sports bar/restaurant has ultra modern decor and numerous TVs. The food was good, but is delivered immediately upon completion, therefore not everyone at the table is served at the same time. They do explain this when you order. I found the service and food to be quite good, but they take ambiance to the extremes. Seriously, no one needs dim lighting, with all black decor in the restrooms. especially after drinking, one needs to see where they are aiming. Those restrooms really need to be rethought out.

When will Yelp hear the cries of the people and give us half stars. This place is corporate all the way and there's nothing remarkable, but the menu is varied for all tastes, so I can't see how you would go wrong.  Don't try and get too fancy.  It's not Le Bec Fin, but the food is on point.

And oh yeah, tell em Big Texas sent you!!!

Chickie & Pete's has gone really downhill.  Was at the one in Parx Casino.  The blonde waitess at the bar serves your $10 martini HALF FULL!!  Ordered cajun wings....OMG, we could hardly find them on the plate there were that SMALL.  This use to be a great place, but over the past year or so, the food AND service leave a lot to be desired.  You get better service and food at McDonalds!  This is the 4th chance I have given them.  Will NEVER go back, unless I see the reviews start coming up to  4.5 to 5 stars!  What the hell happened to the old Chickie and Pete's. Guess he needs to cut back on drinks, food, and service to pay for his million dollar mansion.

My husband and I were at Parx to see at band at the 360 club and went over to Chickies to get some food. We were told that we had a 20 minute wait and that we could look for tables around the bar.  My husband does sound for the band so it was important that we be out of there within an hour and a half.  So we looked for a table around the bar.  It wasn't packed.  We saw 3 large uncleared tables and walked over to the side of the bar to ask if there were more available.  There was a table with VOMIT on it and servers were walking past it like they didn't notice it! I was so grossed out!  We asked the first server where we could sit and she said she didn't know.  I couldn't stop looking at the vomit covered table!  NO ONE even cleaned it! We stood there for a few minutes hoping that someone would come and clean any of the tables up (especially the vomit).  But no one came.  We left.  HOW GROSS!  I don't think I will ever go back there.

It's pretty sad.  I used to go to the original Chickie and Pete's on Robbins all the time and LOVED it.  They really have gone downhill.

For the prices they charge, the service was terrible and the food was even worse.  Just get the crab fries.  Don't bother with anything else.  Sandwiches were soggy.  If we didn't have this groupon, I might have been upset over the loss of money eating here.

The Chickie's on the Boulevard has been going down hill recently but this place makes that one look pretty good.  It's always a shame when something that ought to be so yummy is a disappointment.

America's #1 sports bar, but hello, what about all of the crabs? We went this past Wednesday for the all you can eat snow crab legs and we each devoured three bowls, which each held two large clusters, with their outrageous signature fresh garlic and old bay sauce! Drawn butter is also served along with these, nothing else comes with it, but for $24.95 it's a good deal if you can pack it all in! We just had to order the famous crab fries too with the sides of cheese sauce, being careful not to fill up on crab fries, instead of the crab legs.

You leave with your hand a little sore from all that cracking and digging and feel the need to super wash your hands a dozen times, come home and throw your shirt in the laundry basket, but all in all, delicious fun that will not leave you crabby!

I never heard of Chickies & Pete until I visited Parx casino. TWO thumbs up. My coworker and I went  on a Friday night, so of course there was a wait. The good thing is they take your name and text you when your table is ready; giving you more time to hit the slots of course. The wait wasn't that bad, only 10 minutes. Chickie's and Pete's is a Crab house and sports bar...I'm allergic to shellfish and I HATE sports!!!.... But the place was great!!  The drinks were good  and they had plenty of flat screens for all the sports buffs.
Our server was polite and witty. He sugested we try their signiture crab fries  I told him right away about my food allergy , feelling a bit silly about it of course. (what's a girl like me, doing in a place like this??)..:) He quickly informed me that I wasn't the first nut with an allergy to dine there, and assured me that they didn't contain any crab at all. So epi-pen on deck I went for it!!! They were GREAT!! We got a mixed batch which had half crab fries and half plain fries. The basket came with two dipping sauces, cheese and  brown sugar ( I think) Whatever it was, I enjoyed it. The buffalo wings were good. Onion ring tower, AWESOME!!!  My coworker had the crab legs they were HUGE. She said they were delicious. (Our server helped me put up a "menu barrier" between the two of us so her crab juice wouldn't splash on my wings!!!)..LOL We didn't even look at the cost because we paid for our meal with our comps, FREE FREE FREE!!!!.. so as far as pricing goes i can't help.

The set up and look of Chickie's & Pete's draws you in. I walked past ALL the other restaurants to find out what was going on in there..(So what if I'm nosey)..:)
Next time I visit Parx, I will definitly be eating there.

My girlfriend and I recently went here when taking a trip to Parx since it looked like a pretty fun sports bar. The atmosphere combines an urban-chic aesthetic of a NYC club with the abundant big screen televisions of a Buffalo Wild Wings. I liked this marriage of atmospheres quite a bit, so the setting certainly wasn't bad to look at while I was eating.

Also we split a crab pizza which was good: It had a nice thin crust and it had plenty of succulent crab pieces embedded in the cheese. Despite the aioli sauce that was drizzled on the pizza though, it was a bit dry.

Unfortunately this leads to my biggest complaint: my girlfriend wanted a side of marinara sauce for the pizza, and asked the waiter for it. He got it for us, but did not indicate that the sauce would be $1 extra on our bill. Yes, they charge you $1 for a little cup of sauce. Just warning you all on Yelp about this, because if I were you I would stick to the ketchup on the table.

They do have a lot of crab legs and lobster here that looked good, but I didn't eat any. Just a note, so you don't take my review as the complete eye of judgement on Chickie's.

That being said, I might actually have to go back here when I go Parx again just because the competition is weak in the price range (while for all intents and purposes this place is a rip-off, compared to your other options in the casino it's really the best you can do to my knowledge). Or I could starve myself. Or I can eat somewhere else on Street Road. I'm weighing the options...

The best Chickie's & Pete's that I have been to. A trendy sports bar located in the Parx casino. Our server though was not the brightest. She was nice but seemed easily frazzled. She appeared to go into panic mode when I asked her what was darker, Guinness or Guinness Lager. The crab fries are tasty though, and it'd be a good place to watch a game.

Crappy cheesesteak, overseasoned fries, and pitchers that are smaller than normal pitchers - ew.

Coming here because we had a credit from Parx Casino, we entered this oddly lit, absurdly music-played venue.  Go up to the bar while waiting to eat, try to order a pitcher, and were told we can't until at a table.  Mmmmkay.

We sit at a table, order a pitcher, fries, wings, cheesesteak, and roast pork sandwich.  The beer was Victory Hop Devil - tasted like the worst Hop Devil I've ever had, something wrong with the lines or the keg.  In addition, inside of the pitcher was a large plastic piece too, in effect making it one pint smaller - that's just garbage.  You can't do that.

The famous crab fries - overly spiced without flavor, I just don't get it.  The cheese sauce is okay, but nothing amazing either.

The Buffalo Wings - low on meat, weak flavor, $10 for 12, just not good.

My cheesesteak - probably the 2nd worst I've ever had - overcooked meat, funky cheese, bread was a bit stale, just not good either.

So net net, it ended up being very cheap due to the credit, but if I had paid I'd have complained mightily.  It's bad food and not worth your money.

Watered down drinks, shaved headed bartender with an attitude. "Crab fries" minus the crabmeat, average mussells.   Not going back.

Great selection of beers and world famous crab fries make this a must, however their entrées are nothing to brag about. The place does get pretty busy so definitely make reservations Friday-Saturday. I feel kind of bad giving this place only 3 stars, but if they improved their main courses it would certainly earn another 2 stars from me.

We had lunch here and although the waitress was so sweet she talked too fast, and dcame back so quickly for our order. The person I was with ordered the Phili Cheesesteak and seemed to have enjoyed it. I however, ordered the salad with shrimp and halfway through it I noticed 2 very tiny moving objects, almost unvisible to the naked eye, which appeared to look like a baby catepillar, possibly maggot larvae(s). I was so grossed out and just told and showed the waitress. She in turn told the manager and then she came back and said that the manager took the cost of my salad off the bill. Management didn't even come out to me to express any concern over this matter. I   felt so sick knowing what I probably digested and wanted to get out of there so quickly. I did not cause a scene, nor did I ask for the manager, thinking if he didn't come out in the first place what does he care,  and so I just paid my bill and left. I will never ever eat at any one of these establishments again.  I suggest you think twice before eating here.

Came out to Parx to lose a lil money and hopefully gain some as well. Went to eat at Chickie's & Pete's on a friends recommendation, huge mistake. Not sure if they were having a bad day or what, but our party was NOT happy with the food or service. First the waitress spoke way to fast and when we asked her to repeat she had an attitude. We ordered the fries they are supposedly known for, a chicken and shrimp salad, cheese steak and the mussels in white sauce.

First the food did come out pretty fast, so that was nice, that's where it all ended. The "special" fries that are made in their homemade spices was horrible. Tasted just like salt and looked like old bay and seasoning salt. The running joke through the night was if something was bland just add some of the salty fries. Which leads me to the horrible, no flavor cheese steak, so bland and gross, will not order it again. The salad was of a good size, but they give you this small container of dressing, and when u ask for more its $1.25!!! I could buy a bottle for that much. I ended up not eating the salad and just taking it home to use my own dressings. The mussels were soaking in butter and half the shells were empty. The waitress had to be reminded many times for the bread that was ordered with them. The restaurant was not busy, and was barely full, not sure why the poor service.

i would never eat here again or tell any of my family and friends.

If you like extra salty fries to the point of blindness, bland tasteless meat and dry salad by all means Chickie's & Pete's is the place for you.

This is an addition to an already popular and established Crab House in the Philadelphia area. This is located inside the Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA. Off all the Chickie's & Pete's locations, this one is the most trendy looking and fits the casino atmosphere rather well. This has several TVs all around the walls and I can imagine this place catering well to its customers during the football season.

The Blue Point Crabs, Dungeness Crabs, Little Neck Clams, Hot Shrimp and the Crab fries is what I have/share when I go to eat here. All of the above is cooked to perfection and tastes awesome in Bay or Bay/Garlic seasoning mixed with the restaurant's age old secret sauce recipe. Last week was no different. Start with Little Neck Clams, Then Hot Shrimp, Blue Crabs and end with the Dungeness. Washed it all down with Beer during the feast. Even took breaks in between seafood by eating some crab fries. Once again, the food was delicious.

Then why the 3 stars? This was largely due to service. Our server was training someone new who was shadowing her. The server's attention was at several places at once since the restaurant was nearly full. Everything that we ordered two of, came out one at a time. For example, when we ordered two orders of Blue Crabs (3 per order) then the orders were served one at a time. Same thing with the Clams and Hot shrimp. It was difficult to share darn near every plate. The excuse was that the server kept on forgetting that the orders were always in twos. She just was not with it that evening.

As the most interesting man in the world may say, "I don't always eat seafood but whenever I do, I prefer Chickie's & Pete's".

Loved this place!!!  The crab fries were simple but addictive.  I seriously could not stop eating them.  The cheesesteak nachos were interesting and a cute twist on the norm.  The lobster roll was perfection.  We went on a Saturday afternoon and did not experience a wait.  Service was quick and friendly.

I went here about a week ago on a Tuesday night. My friend and I both started off with the soup which was good.  I ordered the King Crab legs which I have to say were the worst I've ever had anywhere.  Not only did they taste bad, but I couldn't even "snap" the legs.  I've never seen crab legs have this kind of texture.

My friend ordered Crab Cakes which were decent, nothing great.  Both items were fairly expensive and definitely not worth it.  We also ordered the crab fries which were fair.  The mixed drinks were extremely small and expensive.  The place was pretty empty and the only thing I could think of was because of the food.  The atmosphere was fine, but I just can't see going back to this place for anything but a hamburger (and that has me worried too)

This is specifically for the one in Parx Casino. While it is a nice space, with plenty of tvs for sports,  it is lacking in servcie,to a point where I can say the BAR staff actully sucks. They were rude, disinterested and not great mixologists. If you are gonna have an attitude-make a good martini not a sticky drippy one that taste like mix. In fact, prior experiences with ALL C&P (the way they bring food out as its ready , not together with your tablemates, the small portions),the ONLY reason I stopped by with DW for drinks was I had casino comps to use or lose. The bartender had issues with the comp card process and while that wasn`t a big deal perhaps if he took some time from socializing with staff,he should learn about proceedures, and things like comp card use.The food- meh.The staff-double meh. The space-nice. I wouldn`t come back, even on a comp they can keep the attitude, the poor drinks and the overrated small portions. Hopefully others will see this as an overratd failure and another quality vendor gets the space and trains the staff

Me and my boyfriend went here on Friday to get some dinner before hitting the slots.  Now, the Flyers are in Playoff season and were playing at the time so we had a 30 minute wait.  But what's cool about it is that they have their Ipad call you when your seat is ready so we could go gamble or do whatever we wanted.  When we got there, jeez...it was so loud, we couldn't even have a conversation.  People screaming and carrying on. Wow. But, it was a cool atmosphere nonetheless.  They have party rooms with Rockband stations.  And of course, the food is absolutely amazing.  I'd come here again..just maybe pack a few earplugs next time.

I never heard of Chickie's until visiting Parx Casino.  I've eaten here a number of times, often with the casino picking up the tab.  Never had a problem with service or the quality of the food.  I'm a fan of the spinach burger.

The service at the parx Chickes and Pete's sucks. The bartenders actually stand around and look at you and don't even acknowledge they see you want a drink. When they bring the food you have to wait until again you can get their attention to get sliverware or bread. The place probally has the worse service of any bars I frequent. I stop going their until I hear anything good about the place.  Either their paid to much and don't much care about tips but their service is about a 5% tip level.

Don't come here @ 230 on a Tuesday afternoon to expect a good time... Place was pretty beat. Should have figured right ? We got seated quickly and the food came out even quicker, talkin like less than 5 minutes. The crab fries were awesome as expected but the cheesesteak was pretty lousy... The steak lacked flavor was served cold but with warm cheese on top and was tough as leather. What's up with raw onions on a cheesesteak ? Fry that s**t up Mon.
My skunky Amstel light was another kick in the balls...

Crab fries - the ONLY reason you should come here. Spend the 5.75 and walk away to the nearest bar in the casino.

Btw the waitress kicked ass. Too bad can't say the same about the beer or food.

I love crab fries, so it's hard to not have a good time here. A few of my friends and I went here to watch a game and get some eats, and also check out Parx Casino. The restaurant wasn't packed, as it was mid-day Sunday, and the service and food were excellent! We had a couple orders of crab fries, a chicken cheese steak, pork sandwich, and the like and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly.

I would say the only downside was the Christmas music blaring over the football games. The waitress said they usually have the Eagles game on with sound though, so I would keep that in mind. I had her turn it down, but it was still pretty loud and the music choices were so random and ridiculous.

    I'd go back.

I don't like drinks that are watered down! All they care about is up charging you. Perfect example: On the menu, they have a Philly CHEESE steak sandwich for $8 and "extras" $1. So here's how it broke down on the bill for a NORMAL sandwich:
    Philly cheese steak $8
CHEESE $1 (mind you, not for extra cheese and on the menu it says CHEESE steak?!?
    Onions $1
    Mushrooms $1
    Green peppers $1
    Red peppers $1

The waitress was asked about the fact that it is a CHEESE steak sandwich, so why is that considered an extra, but she said it is and that the bill was correct!

This is the restaurant located inside the casino. Good fries and beer. Sub-par service. Sat at a more than half empty bar for a good 8 minutes before the bartender stopped talking about her life with the patrons right next to me and bothered to ask me what I wanted. The pitchers have a huge plastic ice container in the middle so it's 1 beer less than a normal pitcher.

But the crab fries were good and the pizza was okay. Probably wouldn't be my first choice for dinner but you're really coming for the casino so if you're there, make sure you win or else the entire night will be a complete loss and your girlfriend will be yelling at you on the way out.

Stopped at Parx to gamble a little bit and decided to go to Chickie's & Pete's for a quick lunch.  I have never really had a great experience at Chickie's other locations, but it has been a while, so I figured I would give it a shot.

The ambiance was nice enough, lots of TV screens with the Phillies game on, but that was about where the plusses stopped. The menu is VERY limited, a few sandwiches and burgers and crabs, shrimp or mussels.

Our waitress obviously didn't want to be there and I mentioned to my husband that she even seemed annoyed that we were there.  Little did I know she was right behind me as I said it, but maybe it got her attention because she did become a little more friendly after that.

I ordered the seafood chowder and a house salad with shrimp.  My husband ordered a bbq burger and fries without the crab seasoning.  The chowder was really good, however the salad was boring, bland and the house dressing was overpowering.  It was served in a big plastic bowl that was completely stained. I ate the croutons and the shrimp out of it and left the rest.  My husband's burger was a heated-up frozen patty and the fries weren't cooked all the way through, they were almost mush.

My husband used the restroom to wash his hands and remarked that it was dirty and disgusting - one of the worst restrooms ever.

All for a total of $50, which also included one beer and an iced tea.

I don't think I've tasted blue crabs, crab legs, or mussels better than Chickies.  While their food is great I have always felt the service was lacking.  It's wasn't once or twice but quite a few times so that's why I am giving them four instead of five.

While I generally would be loath to give a Chickie & Pete's 4 stars, let alone one in a casino, I have to say that this place is pretty cool. The food is the same fare you can expect to find at all of their locations from the Northeast through South Philadelphia through the ballpark: selection of seafood and the famed crab fries (fries with old bay seasoning and cheese sauce). The crab fries were good, as always, and the nachos came out too quickly--like they had been sitting around or something. They were not that great--2/5 stars for the nachos.

But the space here is actually the winner. We asked for a table on a Friday night and were taken to an area away from the bustling bar that felt like a VIP area. We were given a table with plush chairs and *our own 60" LCD TV*! What? Yes, each of the several semi-private booth areas had its own TV with a Wii hooked up to it! You choose whether to watch TV (free) or pay a service fee to play with the Wii. I thought this was super cool.

The prices were also pretty reasonable for C&P, and the service was pretty efficient.

While I wouldn't go rushing out to come here, you could definitely pick a worse place to kill sometime on a Friday night.

We had a party of about 30 people at Chickie's and Pete's/Play2 at Parx Casino on a Saturday night. We got the ultimate bar and food package. This was a really fantastic experience. We were celebrating an occasion and everyone had an awesome time. The manager I dealt with (Amber McHugh) to set up the arrangements was extremely accommodating and flexible with my requests. It was such a unique party experience and everyone left full, satisfied with the drinks and happy that it was something different to do. Amber made sure we had plenty of space for our party and our waitresses were wonderful! They were so patient and considerate of all of our guests. The manager on staff was also extremely attentive to our party needs. I would absolutely recommend this type of event to anyone looking for an awesome party for any occasion. After our party package ended, people went to the lounge or casino so everyone was happy. There was plenty of food and drinks throughout the night to make the package worthwhile. The only complaint is that the first hour, it was a little slow to get drinks to all 30 guests but our waitresses did their absolute best and I think it was because there was only one bartender to staff the party. Afterwards, things picked up and everyone left happy. Thanks to the entire staff. We cannot wait to go back!!!
