Love this place! Food is excellent, friendly service. I like this location better than the Redlands one as far as the service but in all Chili's Rocks! Went here with my wife, had 2 for $20, Texas Cheese Fries for appetizer, it was BOMB! I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta, very yummy! Really good with a Blue Moon. I don't remember what my wife had but she really liked it.
Review Source:We were here for lunch with family last week. Â We normally go to the Barstow (Lenwood) Chili's and usually have the soup/salad combo; the food and service there is always fine. Â Here in SB both were even better!
My partner and I had the two for $20 steaks; they were excellent. Â The kids had kids' menu selection, and were happy with them. Â Our server, Lauren, was prompt, efficient, and attentive, as well as friendly. Â His colleague, Michael, also checked on us regularly.
Although the restaurant was quite busy, winding down from lunch, there were no delays. Â Refills were prompt and "just in time". Â Couldn't ask for better. Â We'll likely stop in again when we're down that way.
I havent been to a chilis in years, but I always had good memories of it. I dont know if it was because the location was in another state or what, but this was horrible. I got the chicken crispers and it was drowning in oil. I couldnt take 2 bites. My boyfriend got a steak and it had an odd taste to it plus it was overcooked. The mashed potatoes were questionable too. Very disappointed.
Review Source:I am a big fan of Chilis BUT i will not go to this one anymore. The service is so slow and the last time I went to this one... the server only came by to take our order and never even came back to our table again. Instead she focused on a table full of guys quite a ways down from us. She also forgot a few things we ordered when someone else brought our order to us. I just can't bring myself to go back here even though its the closest to me.
Review Source:What can you say about Chili's, pretty standard American fare. I don't expect much, so the bar is set at a very low level. If you've been to one Chili's, you've been to them all.
I won't even get into the food, because it was just OK, it wasn't good, it wasn't bad, you know what I mean? It was food and I ate it, pretty forgettable.
I do want to elaborate on the great service we received from our wonderful waitress, her name is Charisma, I think that's how she would spell it. She was very attentive, and chipper! At the end of the meal my soda was low and she asked if I wanted a refill, I declined since we were almost ready to leave. She asked if I wanted a togo cup, again I declined because I didn't want to bother her with such a petty request. A couple minutes later she brought me a refill anyway, just because. It was very nice of her, even though I didn't ask for it.
Service was way better than the food, go figure.
Everything I have had at Chili's has been great....EXCEPT for their veggie burger! Their beef burgers are probably my favorite of almost any restaurant, good fries, usually friendly staff, and lots of options! Since it's a family place we try to avoid going during the rush since it gets loud in there with all the kids. I have had veggie burgers from almost every popular restaurant and this one was probably my least favorite. I only had it once, so MAYBE it was just an isolated incident...but I don't personally recommend it.
Review Source:love love this place
casual and a chick place to hang out with friends and family
went to this place several times, always get a good service
my fav menus are  MARGARITA GRILLED CHICKEN and  CHICKEN FAJITAS
and off course their Chilis
their $20 dinner for two are just great..
get one appetizer and 2 main course
i came several times with my friends, my brother and my husband in different time (lunch and dinner) and have no complaint about the service, the food and the ambiance created there..
definitely will go there again some other time..
I've frequented this Chili's restaurant several times, for both dine-in and to-go orders. For food, it's your standard Chili's franchise fare. For dining in, the service varies greatly, depending on the server you get. There's one female lunch server who works there that is amazing. I really wish I could remember her name, but every time we get her, the service is quick and she anticipates all of our needs. Above and beyond. She also seems to really care about the diner's experience and quality. She's consistently this way too, every time. Trust me, if you get her as a server, you'll know. If the restaurant was filled with servers like her, they'd be eligible for a 5 star review.
However, every other server there that I've had is just so-so. With these other servers, it's common that I'll order their soup and salad lunch, and will still have to wait 30+ minutes for them to scoop me out of a bowl of soup that I'm sure they have just sitting in a heated pot back there. Â It's supposed to be an "all-you-can-eat" soup/salad thing, but I'm rarely offered another soup or salad. Then they give you a check and disappear. Giving the check early is great if you're on a time crunch, which I usually am, but is pointless if you still have to wait 20 minutes for a server to come collect your check. I also don't understand why they assign two servers for a table, when I only ever see one. Who the second person they tell me is going to be assisting me is always a mystery, but they surely aren't retrieving my soup from the pot or picking up my check.
That said, my experience with their to-go service is generally pretty quick, whether you call in your order ahead of time, place your order online (which is an awesome feature btw), or just show up at their to-go counter and place it there. The only hiccup I've ever had there, was when the clerk offered to get me a beverage while I wait, and then got busy with something else and forgot until I had my food order and was headed out the door, but really, that's no big deal. The food was done quickly, so I was happy, and went on my way.
My friend & I come here quite often for lunch, as it is easy to get in and out within an hour & is one of the only restaurants along Hospitality to be able to understand most people only get one hour for lunch during work hours.
Usually we get the bottomless soup & salad, but lately I haven't ordered it because every time I do the soup comes out lukewarm, or cold in places. Like it's been sitting out far too long or something. Plus the Caesar has a horrid taste to it, like some sort of lemon cleaner was put in the dressing. Not recommended.
However, we do still like coming here, because Chili's always offers free appetizers in their email program. About once a week I can depend on getting a free coupon in my email inbox, which is a welcome surprise.
I docked two stars for the inconsistent soup/salad & also I can't stand how when they serve you the food they bring you the check. I understand they are trying to help lunch visitors pay right away to avoid waiting later, but something about how soon the check is brought out makes me think we are being told to leave as soon as possible.
I was only gonna give 4 stars, but I didn't have a reason NOT to give 5. Very crowded, but the wait for a booth was only about 15 minutes on a friday night. Not bad. We got the wings over Buffalo, and the Queso dip/salsa & chips. Both good. Around $15.00 for those two appetizer's. Both of us had the ice tea's. Mine Blackberry, his Mango. $2.95 free refills. Love the Blackberry taste. I tasted his Mango tea and it was a little too sweet for me, but hey...it's all good. He ordered the trio fajita's, and I ordered the sirloin. My sirloin was cooked just like I ordered and was excellent. Brocoli, corn on the cob, and toast on the side was just right. Our server was Joey. Excellent service, charming, prompt, awesum! Don't usually give 5 stars, especially without having dessert, but I'm good. Thanks Chili's, thank you Joey. Sorry, almost forgot the total of our meal. $53.00 (w/tip $64.00.) Still not bad in my books.
Review Source:Both soups offered are just fantastic ... fresh, tasty and unlimited! The salads are crispy, tasty and have just the right amount of dressing. The shaved Parmesan cheese on the Caesar really makes it perfect! The complementary chips and salsa really round out this economical, delicious lunch or dinner!
Review Source:The co-workers and I decided to hit this place up for some drinks during lunch (ha ha, it's never too early!). Â Our drinks were perfect! Â From Presidente Martini's to fruity mixed drinks and plain vodka martini's, it was all so yummy! Â Of course, we had to soak up the alcohol with some food... Â I mean, why not? Â I noticed they added more items to their menu! I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Crispers (way diff than the reg crispers) and it was delicious!
We were all content and left happy. Of course the alcohol had NOTHING to do with our mood! Â ;)
Once my Coachella '07 road trip crossed into that fabled land known as SoCal, a persistent craving awoke in my gut...
Mexican food, man.
Not like I can't get pretty decent Mexican in San Francisco. But I don't eat it often, because of all the special ordering with my no-meat, no-cheese rules, blah blah blah... I just don't bother. Too much work, and it's never what I want it to be in the end.
But I so often hear from throngs of former Los Angelans and San Diegans up here how "the farther south you go, the better the Mexican food gets." I guess I just had it on the brain. Once I saw palm trees, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Give me Mexican -- even without meat, or cheese! SoCal Mexican! Give me SoCal Mexican, or give me DEATH!
(Uh, which by the way was a totally plausible scenario, seeing as it was 110 degrees in Indio on this particular trip. Fuck.)
None of my road trip companions were into Mexican, the entire trip. Seriously. I tried my trademark subtlety (don't laugh; I'm subtle), and got nowhere.
Then, while driving home, through San Bernardino, an opportunity presented itself. It's 12:30. Everyone is hungry. We need to stop for lunch. Where to?
CHILI'S. W. T. F. That's where they all wanted to go. I could not win on this one. I had my delicious SoCal Mexican meal on the brain, and these dudes wanted to eat chainy, unhealthy, uninteresting, overpriced, "Southwestern" crap. God love 'em.
We actually had to Google Chili's on Steve's Blackberry to find the nearest location, once they all got a craving for some baby back ribs... (okay, no one actually had ribs, but you get the point) And when we found the nearest location, we discovered it wasn't open for another two weeks (thanks for putting that little tidbit on your pre-recorded directions, BTW, Chili's!). We then proceed to get back on the highway and get lost for another half-hour looking for the NEXT nearest one.
That there are two even THAT near each other means there's something very wrong with the people of San Bernardino.
What's good about this place? Hmm... They had running water, which allowed me to brush my teeth after camping in the desert for four days. Oh, and the waitress was nice. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I can grill a piece of salmon, steam some vegetables, and cook some black beans that would be five times more flavorful, three times more interesting to look at, still be "guiltless," and wouldn't cost me $20.
Next time, I'm throwing subtlety to the wind. I'm going to support the REAL Mexicans of San Bernardino county!
