I was pleasantly surprised. After having a less than ideal experience with another Chinese take-out place in the neighborhood, I was looking for an alternative and found China Shack. As another reviewer said, it is not a place to dine in. But for carry out, it's great. The lunch special costs $6.00 (inc. tax). I had the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special. The food was decent, what you'd expect from your typical (American) Chinese place. I will probably be trying many other things from here.
Review Source:So bad for you in such a delicious way. I have been eating here since I was in high school. It became almost a daily ritual for my best friend and I. Almost a decade later, I'm still hooked. It's greasy, fast and cheap. I would not recommend dining in. China Snack is literally a shack. No seriously, it is probably 20x20 on the inside, counting the kitchen area. There are two dirty booths on the inside where most people just sit and wait for their order. No one really eats there. I get it delivered almost bi weekly. I really should stop but I can't. Get a lunch special but share it between two people unless you are feeling particularly ambitious. China Snack= hidden, awesome neighborhood gem.
