It's a local diner. Â Not much to say other than the service was very very kind which is HUGE with me. Â That's why they get 3 stars. Â I really don't want to bad mouth this place; the food was good. Â Ordered a salad with blackened chicken. Â Cook apparently thinks the bottom of a head of lettuce is okay to include in the dish. Â LOL Â It wasn't a big deal, just a lack of attention. Â The grilled chicken was actually VERY tasty. Everything tasted fine and the price was right. Â Place was very clean. Â
Would I go again? Â Yes. Â So take that for what it's worth if you're looking for a fair selection of diner food, very good service and good food with a fair price to match.
You should know, Yelp map location not correct. Â Continue south through loop. Â Across from McDonalds.
Clean place. Good food. Â Great service. Â I ordered the salad with shrimp, but, wanted only Romaine lettuce. Â The waitress took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and then went to the kitchen to make sure they had it. Â It was clear that she cared about my satisfaction. The prices were good too. Â The have a parking lot if you are driving to the restaurant.
Review Source:Good breakfast place.
The whole front is under construction because they are expanding the outdoor seating deck into what used to be the parking lot. We ate outside and decided this was probably a good move on their part. The weather was gorgeous and it was a great place to eat.
Inside is nice and clean, service was a bit slow but friendly and they have a pretty extensive (and well-priced) breakfast menu with a nice set of kid's options. We got omelets, pancakes, french toast, fresh fruit and home fries. Everything was really good, not life-changing but all good stuff and only set us back about $20. This place is definitely on our breakfast list for next time we visit the island.
We ate here for breakfast and dinner during our stay and had good experiences both times. The seafood at dinner was simply prepared, fresh, and well done (especially for a diner!). More traditional diner fare--chicken tenders and burgers--were good. Breakfast is the usual, perhaps could use a few healthy options but it is, after all, a diner. The service was friendly and reasonably prompt, and the prices were fair.
Review Source:Happy to see a new restaurant give it a go on Chincoteague! Â I've only eaten there once so far, so this is based on that one time...
I had a pasta combo (tried to have eggplant parm but they were out of eggplant). Â My husband had a Philly cheesesteak. Â My pasta was overdone, but the sauce didn't taste like it was just Sysco or US Foods brand (like elsewhere in the region); it was better, so points for that! Â The cheesesteak wasn't Philly quality, but it was good enough that he said he'd get it again. Â Portions were ridiculously HUGE! Â I'd rather have awesome pasta over a quantity of so-so pasta, but it's diner food so why am I getting pasta anyway, right?
We also got desserts to go (carrot cake and one of the chocolate cakes. Â Yes, there were multiple chocolate cakes!), and they were worth it - others looked delicious. Â I stared at the dessert case throughout dinner. lol
The service was really good - attentive, helpful, and friendly.
The bar selection included the usual variety of sodas, tea, etc. as well as a good beer and wine selection (some regional craft brews, a range of wines by the glass, etc.), and what appeared to be a full liquor bar too. Â
I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan selections (would love a veggie burger!!! Â This is the place to have one - pleeeeease?!), but a few pastas are better than nothing. Â They do appear to have gluten-free options if that's an issue.
We'll definitely return, and wish the owners the best through the winter.
