Cholie's Pizza

You gotta know what to expect when you go to Cholie's, and that is FAST, CHEAP food.  Given that, Cholie's meets expectations.  

The pizza is quite good when it is fresh, but the crust dries out quickly if you don't eat it while it's still hot.

It's pretty hard to mess up a hotdog and fries, and at Cholie's it's only $2.50!!

If you don't like the pizza here, kill yoself! Been going here since '98 as a widdle boy and I still travel to Hyde Park from the North Side atleast once a week just for a slice or two. The lady behind the counter is like my grandma, the sweetest ever even 15 yrs later. Cholie's still my favorite in Chicago!

I really enjoyed the service and the staff was very friendly. The Spanish lady who takes the orders is very cognizant of my needs and her voice is like sweet music to my ears. There are times I am certain she was placed on this earth by the Virgin Mary to take orders from the starving lost souls of Hyde Park to make them whole again. The delivery people have always greeted me with smiles and sometimes hugs, and even though I never tip them they are still very gracious. One of the unsung qualities of this homely franchise is their constant will to give and give and give. Everytime my stomach is grumbling and I'm opening that Cholie's bag ready to chow down on their fries, I am always pleased to find the ketchup packets they placed there. Sometimes I find as many as 3 ketchup packets (yes, three) in the bag and I am absolutely beside myself. I often thank the good lord almighty of almighties that a business would be so conscious of their customers like me and bless me with their good will. Sometimes I'll go to sleep that very night with my eyes welling up, knowing that not only has my stomach been filled by their scrumptious meatcakes but my cold heart is filled with an unprecedented feeling of warmth, knowing that there are people out there that truly care about me. Sometimes because my father comes home drunk late at nightand I could hear the cold, hard footsteps clanking against the wooden floor as he waddles into my room possibly looking for a tight, ruby orifice to gape his member into, I know I have to hide the chloe's food from him because when he sees the leftovers he feels like I am trying to replace him and subvert his authority as my father, and he'll beat me pretty good. But I know secretly deep down, beneath my bruised, ripened chest that he just wished I left some for him.
