This is a fun pub to visit. Â The beers on tap are of a wide variety and there are a lot! Â The staff is friendly and will tell you more about a beer if you don't know what it is. Â They have plenty of TVs with sports on and a pool table. Â Overall, this is a fun place to take the family or hang out with the guys!
Review Source:This is a great place to hang out with a group large or small. The drinks are always made well, and they have plenty of specials. The staff is friendly and provides good service. The patio is huge, something that you do not often find. The interior is also spacious allowing for groups of all sizes to fit comfortably. The patrons are often friendly, like another reviewer noted, you will feel comfortable coming alone for a quick drink or bite to eat or even to come socialize.
The food is decent, and they have great appetizers.
There is always a nice selection of music playing. There is also a pool table and dart board as well as numerous televisions for those wanting a little game to watch or play.
Great place to hang out, I will definitely be returning.
Its true nothing stays the same! WHY CHURCHILL ARMS OWNER HAVE YOU MADE IT WORSE.....
What a shame this place has changed owners and at first the food remained great. That was until our experience today. The fish and chips are no where near as good as they used to be. Tasteless and the fish doesn't  even look the same, yes it was cod but looked like a piece of fish from a well know frozen brand named Gortons. Why did it have to change? So dissapointing as this was our favorite place to go for authentic British style fish and chips. Sorry to say, we won't be returning!
Also, their appetizer of fried pickles that we loved was a rip off today. $5.00 for 10 fried pickles, wow. Another disappointment!
Hope the new owner catches on quick and goes back to the original way or he's not going to be in business long with all the other great restaurants in Folsom.
Your bartender-waitress was nice, she gets the 5 stars if the review was just about her!
My suggestion would be to get the original cook back in the kitchen or find an English cook to make it into an authentic British style pub with a daily cavery like you can get in England and please bring back the original style fish and chips we and our family and friends loved so much!
I'm sad and very dissapointed!
Since changing names the there had been a marked improvement in the food. Went there last night(3/24) and it was awful. The batter was not crispy at all and completely tasteless. and the chips were soggy. Also a small point . The weather was fantastic and I would have loved to have sat outside. Sadly it was dominated by chain smokers.Playing some sort of game that really didn't fit with the space back there however i digress. We walked outside but came back in and sat inside to protect our lungs from that god awful cloud that hung back there. Not sure we'll be back. Sad really .
Review Source:Three stars for this visit. I was craving the fish and chips, which i have had MANY times including multiple times since they changed from Streets of London. Â All of which have been excellent. Â
This time was vastly different. When my food came out the fish was breaded heavily, like something you would find on a piece of chicken from McDonald's. It was soggy and weird,  I ate it but it wasn't very good.  When I questioned whether or not the changed it to our server, he replied with "no it is the same as always".  after our meal  said " I just saw the one's you gave to the table next to me and that is what i was expecting.  He just said that it could have been how the fish was cut. Â
I continued to tell him that it was not the cut of the fish, something was very different and not in a good way. Â He just took my plate (which still had half the fish on it) and brought back a check. Â After questioning it again, he said nothing was wrong or different, acting like he didn't want to hear my problem. Just wanted payment and for me to shut up.
The customer service from our server John was AWEFUL, I have never had a problem before but with his level of "I dont give a shit that our food was nasty" is more than i can take. Â
On a brighter note, my husband said his Bangers and Mash was very good and would like to order it again.
I hope they work on the customer service, because normally the food is worth the trip. I truly believe that they just had a oops in the kitchen but John just wouldn't take the time to find out.
As far as food, I have tried their ham and pineapple pizza, and their ham and pineapple sandwich. Both were decent but greasy, as I would expect from this sort of place.
This is probably the best  place for drinks in Folsom. They almost always have good drink specials, and even when they don't, most of the mixed drinks I order are $5 and are still very well-made. They include a decent amount of alcohol, which is sort of rare around here.
The bathroom floors are always nasty, but they stay well-stocked and usable.
The staff is very friendly and they seem to have a very low turnover. Customers here are usually pretty friendly, so it's an okay place to go by yourself and try to make some new friends.
I have been so happy to see that this is still the same great place it always has been! Great food, awesome beer selection , and still the same wonderful, friendly staff. It's my favorite spot to grab a beer and watch the game (now even better with the upgrades of brand new HD TVs). I have been coming here for years and with the new ownership and new name I'm only seeing more improvements that just make the pub an even better place to go kick back, relax, and have a great time.
Review Source:This place screams kitchen nightmare! Bacon burnt to a crisp & crumbled to pieces when you picked it up. Food was definitely not fresh. Even the fountain soda and toast were bad. Bathroom was gross and staff was almost non-existent as far as service. When we asked not to be charged for the bacon, the lady taking our plates away wouldn't even say anything or look at us. Table next to us sent their food back and eventually just left. Â I always thought the show kitchen nightmares was a bit exaggerated, but now I've experienced one first hand. Oh, and when we asked if they served breakfast, they said yes and went to get menus. Then she told us they didn't have any menus but would print some up. That should have been my first clue!
Review Source:I went to this establishment around 0945 on Sunday morning  for breakfast after work on 8/26/12.  The business hours were not posted however the cleaning staff let us know that they opened at 10am.  We waited and the doors were not unlocked at 10 so we saw a door propped open with a rock which we had seen two employees go into earlier and we called for assistance to ask if they were open.  The female that was there told us they did not open until 11 and I suggested that they post their business hours and she said, "ok, I don't think so." and proceeded to slam the door.  Management should consider hiring more courteous staff.  She should've said, "I apologize, I will let my manager know.  Thank you."  Basic customer service skills are lacking.  I went down the street to Mooney's for breakfast where the staff is very courteous and respectful.
Review Source:I went there today to have some lunch and watch the Chelsea match and I had the same excellent service I've always had when the place was Streets Of London. I met John, who is one of the new owners and like me is a Chelsea supporter . They had Fullers London Pride on tap, and a great new sandwich called the Irish Cuban. It was very good. If you liked it when it was Streets Of London then you will love The Churchill Arms. Cheers!
Review Source:My wife and I eat out quite often and we have never had such lousy service as we had tonight. The server took our appetizer and drink order, which he promptly brought. He then took the rest of our order and didn't come back for close to 45 minutes. People had come in after us and already had their main course. The server brings out our main course and skipped the soup and salads we had ordered. When we commented, he asked if we wanted the salad and soup to go. Fine. After waiting all that time I didn't care. After eating the main course, which was fair, even for bar food, we had to ask for a box, the check, and the missing salad. He brought the check and never brought the salad or soup. We had two guests with us and they were as unhappy as we were.
I don't know if this had to do with using a Groupon or not, but we paid for the soup and salads as part of the Groupon. We are very unhappy with the service and wouldn't recommend this place to eat to anyone.
As for being a British pub, while the beers on tap are good, the food pales in comparison to other British pubs I've frequented.
