HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!  Went to Cliffs with a group of friends on Friday night. After ordering a round of four (4) kamikazes (two of which were the exact same drink) the waitress had to come back two times to confirm our four drinks. After waiting for our four (4) drinks the waitress brings one (1) drink that was nothing even sort of close to what was ordered; she takes the drink back to the bar and we wait for the drinks we actually ordered.  FINALLY, the waitress brings the drinks we actually ordered and the time comes to settle the ticket. This is where things REALLY went downhill. Two of the drinks were paid for with cash; the remaining two drinks were paid for using my debit card. After informing me of a $1 charge to use my card (in itself a scam) the waitress runs my card and brings the receipt to sign.  I quickly see that my card was charged for three drinks and not the two that were actually ordered.  I flag the waitress down and make her aware of her mistake. The waitress then spends the next 10 mins attempting to tell me that I should pay for the drink that she mistakenly brought to our table. The waitress then accuses me of ordering a drink that I forgot I ordered and was put on my tab (you figure that one out).  After a lengthy and completely unnecessary exchange, the waitress refunds me $5 of the $7 she overcharged me.  I took the $5 and considered the additional $2 the well paid price to not to further deal with someone so incompetent at both their job and 2nd grade level math.

This place is alright. They also have a stripper pole if you feel the need.

I spent last Friday night at Cliff's dropping a load of cash and my inhibitions. Ryan the bartender was great and man did he pour some drinks! As other reviewers mentioned, Cliff's has a wall of different Kamikaze flavors to choose from as well as $8 buckets of domestics during Happy Hour.

The Kamikazes were a surprise to me since I had only ever known them to be shots but these are served in pints and have a price to match although the price is realistic when you see and taste their strong drinks.  I have tasted a variety of them including the Mexican Pineapple, Shark Water, VooDoo, Cranberry, Pomegranate, Peach, Green Apple, Grapefruit and Fuzzy to name a few. All tasted great. Friday happy hour features free appetizers from the Watering Hole right next door starting at 5pm. Each time I have gone, the appetizers were different but all were fresh and hot.

I agree that seating is limited BUT the restrooms are always clean! Cliff's is a mellow environment and a nice escape when you want to get away from the coed crowd.

Best Kamikazes in Nebraska! Great Vegas feel!

What happened to Cliff's, where the drinks were stiff and the St. Patrick's Day decorations--not to mention Cliff-- were ever present?  This is a mockery.  He must be rolling in his grave, or his ashes, or whatever.

I went to Cliff's to watch the first Husker game this year.  It was my first time in the new bar (they've recently moved next door to the Watering Hole, from 12th street).  It's a nice new bar with a huge enclosed outdoor seating area with TVs to accommodate smokers.  There are tons of tables out there, so that's where I'd suggest sitting with groups.

The people were super nice and the clientele a bit older than the normal downtown crowd, so that was perfect for me! After the game, the younger crowd descended and the music changed so I didn't make it much longer after that.  (not to mention that I'd already been there 6 hours or so)

Ditto on the Kamikaze comment from Joel!  They have about 50 different flavors and it's their signature drink.  You can get draft beer anywhere, but a great kamikaze... now that's a different story!  Start with Shark Water and you'll be good to go!

Cliff's is an okay sort of bar. The bar itself is nice and new, but the place still attracts the same sort of crowd. They have NO beer on tap, only bottles, and it tends to be busy on the weekends. If you go, you have to get a kamikaze.

If you don't think a bar with a stripper pole is a good idea, you're probably right. It also really doesn't have a lot of seating, so if you're looking for a place to sit around and chat, you're out of luck.

If you want a busy bar, with a 'vegas' theme, with drinks that will put you on the floor, you're in the right place.

Cliff's is beautiful and classy. It used to be a hole in the wall with great drinks. Now it's a great looking bar with a great atmosphere with great drinks! When my husband and I go downtown - which isn't too often - we always go to Cliff's, and have yet to be disappointed!
One thing that I despise about bars is the bathrooms. They are nasty, nasty, nasty! Cliff's bathroom....AWESOME! I really think this bar puts the other downtown bars to shame!
