Oh Masque...how I love thee. Let me count the ways: one drag queen, two drag queens...more drag queens!

I recently attended for my friends' mutual bachelorette party and I had a fantastic time. Being from Columbus, for whatever reason, our "scene" seems ridiculously overly pretentious (which I don't even understand)...it's like, "Bitch...you live in Ohio. Calm...the...f-ck...down". Geezus. Anyway, this was TOTALLY refreshing to me.

Everyone I encountered was nice and the women there actually look like women! Hot ones at that! Go figure that for a concept.

Now Columbus doesn't regulate their liquor like Masque did but whatever. I thought they should've been able to pour a little heavier but that's just me being accustom to Columbus' tactics.

I really think Masque needs to build one in Columbus. I loved the décor and how the club was laid out. Downstairs you could talk, be social without screaming your face off to the person sitting right next to you (which is great considering when you're yelling there is a higher chance of you accidentally having flicks of spit fly out of your mouth which isn't sexy y'all) and watch the drag shows which were pretty good. The lighting was great--especially upstairs where the dancing took place. It was dark...mysterious...sexy...with fog and great lights. How a club should be (take note Wall Street in Columbus where it's so bright in their now you can see peoples' acne from 20 feet away)!

Music was great and bar staff was super friendly. I'll definitely be back for a change of pace more often. It was great to get away, feel like I was elsewhere and meet new people. That's what life's all about, right?!

    Masque--we'll meet again...soon. :D

One of the funnest bars/dance clubs I've been to. First came here with my best friend 3 years ago and occasionally I bring my girl friends around for a fun night of dancing without a plethora of creeps.  There are two floors, the downstairs holds drag shows and the dance music is from popular music videos. Upstairs is a techno floor. Lights, fog, a small stage, and a small bar make a nice atmosphere to dance.
It is a LGBT bar.  There is a cover charge and the drinks are average price.

I had a great time here.. It's actually the first LGBT club I have been to in Dayton (well period actually), so I don't have anything to compare it to as far as that is concerned. But as for comparison to other clubs its top notch. There are two floors that both seem to have their own vibe going on.  There were all sorts of people there from gay to straight though.

The drinks were a little expensive, which is normal for a club I suppose. But the bartenders were very friendly, as were the bouncers. The bathrooms were clean and they even had a girl standing in there drying my hands.

All in all a great experience and one of the better clubs in the Dayton area.

The one time I visited, on a Wednesday, that place was overflowing. I spent more time in line outside than I did on the dance floor.

Masque is such a strange mix, because certain corners were absolutely gay club and certain corners were blatantly straight (complete with guy lined up on the wall while women dropped on all fours and rubbed their rumps on the fellows' junk).

Anyway, the upstairs reminded me of odd trips to go dancing while massively smashed in Tijuana, Mexico. I won't say it wasn't fun, but you never quite feel safe.

drinks are way too overpriced, extremely crowded, and there's douchebags with tribal tattoos swinging their nuts in your face on top of the bar.  if you like to dance you can go to the second floor and there are fog machines and strobe lights, but other than that i don't see the appeal for straight girls?

Went here on a Saturday night while on a business trip to Dayton, OH.  It was recommended by the staff at the Double Tree where my husband and I were staying.  The club was in walking distance from the hotel and there was a line outside.  After paying the $7.00 entrance we explored the club. The 1st level had the stage for the drag show and of course, a bar playing top 40 music.  The drag show was interesting....  On the 2nd level was a smaller bar and the music was more house/circuit type music with the expected light show.  The clientele was a mix of gay, lesbians and straight people. My hubby and I had a nice evening people watching for the most part.  Would probably go back if ever in town again

This definitely is as good as it gets for a club in Dayton, OH.  And not just for a LGBT club, but for ANY club in Dayton.  That's why my best friend J and I, both straight, single women at the time, used to hang out here almost every weekend.  And we had a blast.

When we used to come it was (male) strippers on Friday, drag shows on Saturday, and Dueling Pianos rocked our Sunday nights.  The mix of people in this club is hard to find anywhere else.  And, from a straight girl's POV there, it was nice to escape the posturing to hook up/meet someone that occurs in every straight bar across the U.S.  Everyone is just having FUN.  Pure, unadulterated, dance your shirt off (literally), sweaty fun.

Even though I'm kind of done with the club scene, I still miss going to Masque sometimes and I guarantee that I'll be back every now and then for old time's sake!

I used to work here so of course I am biased. Its like the only place to go in the whole freaking US where you'll find drag queens and kings, lesbians and gay men, trans peeps, bi's, and cool straight people all in one bar. It's like one big happy family and you don't even have to be, well Family.

The motto is "not for EVERYONE welcome". So true. Decent drinks specials, strippers, amazing drag shows, fun theme nights, 2 dance floors, great DJ's. Seriously I love this place. If you are ever in Ohio go here, catch a drag show if you can, lose your inhibitions, and tip the staff well.

I've always had a good time here at Club Masque. Granted my visits were well before the smoking ban in Ohio was enacted so when I was there I was always bothered by the smoking all around me. Now I'm sure it's much more pleasant to attend.

As Brooke mentioned, the drag queen/king shows are always a super blast and really entertaining.

They sometimes have deals for students as well. However, if you are under 21 you'll pay more to get in.

It's nice to find a GLBT friendly bar in a place like Dayton. It was always a destination for my friends and I to get away from Antioch College's campus.
